A Wonderful Stay in Milton Keynes!
Our recent trip to Milton Keynes was absolutely wonderful! The city truly surprised us with its vibrant energy and excellent amenities.
The highlight of the trip was definitely the hotel's location. We were thrilled to be right in the heart of the action, with an abundance of restaurants and bars only a short walk away. This made evenings out effortless and enjoyable, offering so many great dining choices—from casual eats to more refined spots.
On the other end of the spectrum, we loved having such easy access to a great big park (likely Campbell Park or Willen Lake!). It provided the perfect escape for morning strolls and was a beautiful spot to relax and enjoy the green spaces the city is famous for. It’s clear that Milton Keynes offers a perfect blend of urban convenience and natural beauty. Highly recommend this destination!

Stayed overnight while travelling down from Scotland. Room was clean and had all the basic amenities I needed. Location is convenient, just off the motorway. Good for a quick stopover.
Cheap parking , paid £5 for 24 hours.

Another wonderful stay in this hotel. Had an upgrade from the manager Johnny & also complementary breakfast given due to an issue with the guests in the room next to us on our last visit( Not a hotel issue) He is always so helpful & goes above & beyond to make sure you’re stay is a pleasant one, really can’t fault the customer service.
Lovely hotel, situated in a perfect location close to all amenities. I would highly recommend staying here if you are coming to Milton Keynes.

OMG the place was just amazing! We definitely will come back again! Although the hotel was located quite far from city Center, i.e., an hour from Oxford University, half an hour from Bicester, but 15 mins drive from Waitrose, which was good enough for us (chill but enjoy the world class racing cars around). The facilities were new. The staff was friendly ( strongly felt it in the breakfast session), there was own car park just next to the apartment too. Free 15 mins electricity charging outside the reception. Free access to gym and swimming pool… everything just fabulous!

I had booked to stay here two nights but ended up watching the Euro final with family. However, it was nice to revisit the town where I misspent a lot of my youth (sadly the Flint Cottage pub was closed).
Hotel staff are friendly and helpful, rooms clean with plenty of tea and coffee and breakfast ample.

The staff was rather basic with directions to find my room it is a very big place and not very well signposted. The room had everything needed and was clean. The pool, jacuzzi , sauna & steam room are all included in your stay, just a bit of a walk to another building.

Great for a relaxing night away. Lovely modern hotel, great rooms and service. Spa is a little basic but it was fine for what we needed for our one night away! Very close to Marlow town centre which is great to explore!

Room ok bed rock hard and low could feel the springs through the mattress every time you moved the springs creaked so not the best sleep kettle was filthy bathroom mouldy dirty marks on the sofa and the chair looked like someone had spilled something on it not clean
Ironing board filthy and the iron stunk when using it of mouldy dirty water

AAlison’s Silk Road TravelsI booked a double room on Trip for solo travel. It was really good value and a short 10 min walk from the station. I booked this hotel because it was great value and I was day tripping to London and did not want to pay London prices. So budget friendly. This is a great hotel! The environment is friendly and very luxurious. I enjoyed sitting in the foyer drinking coffee. The staff were very polite, efficient and booked me in very quickly. I was given an upgrade to the executive room on the 8th floor. It was very quiet and the bed was huge and super comfy. It had a great coffee machine and extra skin care in the bathroom. The room was very clean and the bed was pristine. It was a great view on the 8th floor. I payed extra for breakfast and it was excellent. I was impressed with the service and choice of hot food. The food was hot unlike other hotel breakfasts. It had vegan and vegetarian options and a very good choice of healthy breads and bagels. I really felt I was getting a high end experience at the hotel. It also had a coffee machine and a bath! I would definitely stay here again because of the quality and the better cost for solo senior travel. I really hope I can stay here again sometime. The efficiency of the trains to London make it an ideal choice for a quality hotel experience without the London prices. The images you see are of the view from room 822, the body care in the bathroom, the choices I made at breakfast, the foyer, the room itself. I hope you find it helpful.

AAlison’s Silk Road TravelsI stayed in Holiday Inn for the second time. I stayed in room 301. The room was very clean and tidy. It had a bigger than expected bathroom with good mirrors and a bath. The toiletries were good. It was very busy in the hotel and the breakfast was very busy with families. The breakfast was Ok the cooked breakfast was hot but the sweet pastries were limited. The range of cold meats was good. The fruit was good. The coffee was good. The breakfast spice was good. I did not use the health facilities. The bar was busy and I had to wait to buy a soft drink. The range of food on offer was good. I really enjoyed my stay at holiday inn. The service was good and I liked the luggage store facilities. These were free. The locality is good for food outlets and there is a large shopping mall opposite the hotel. It takes 18 mins to walk to the station. There was a marathon on while I stayed. So it was busy everywhere. The images shown here are of the spaces inside the hotel to eat, my breakfast, the free water, and the foyer space. I would stay here again. It’s only 47 mins to London and it’s a great price and a quiet hotel compared to London prices. Mexicans living in London were celebrating Cinco de Mayo outside the National gallery today and it was really great! The Milton Keynes marathon was also on today!

GGuest UserI stayed at Holiday Inn High Wycombe on 19th February, and unfortunately, my experience started on a disappointing note. Upon arrival, I was greeted politely and checked in by the receptionist, who allocated me a ground floor room. However, when I entered the room, I immediately noticed a strong smell of smoke, which made me feel uncomfortable and unwilling to stay there. It was clear the room hadn’t been properly cleaned or aired.
I contacted reception, and to their credit, the staff member came to inspect the room herself. She acknowledged the issue, apologised sincerely, and admitted it should have been resolved by housekeeping. Unfortunately, I was told the hotel was fully booked and no alternative rooms were available. I was offered a 30% discount to stay in the room, but I declined as I did not feel comfortable.
The receptionist then arranged an alternative solution by relocating me to Hampton by Hilton High Wycombe, including organising a taxi transfer. Although there was some confusion about room availability at the Hilton, she remained helpful and even offered me a complimentary drink while I waited.
Once I arrived at the Hilton, the difference was clear — the room was clean, fresh, and of a much higher standard, which made for a far more comfortable stay.
Overall, while I appreciate the professionalism and efforts of the staff at Holiday Inn to resolve the issue, the initial room condition fell well below expectations.

GGuest UserFrom the moment we arrived at Danesfield House, we were treated extremely well. All of the staff were very helpful and could not do enough for us, even carrying our luggage to our room.
Our room had a beautiful view over the river Thames and hotel gardens and the four poster bed was lovely and comfortable. The bathroom was lovely and clean and their were plenty of towels and toiletries.
I had booked a treatment in the Spa for my wife and all of the staff were amazing. The Spa itself was very nice, and although the jacuzzi was out of action, this did not spoil the experience at all.
Finally, our breakfast was wonderful. We were greeted and shown to our seats immediately. Our order was taken for our choice of breakfast by a lovely waitress and coffee and toast was brought to us by an absolutely wonderful waiter who had the biggest smile that never left his face the entire time we were in the restaurant. He was extremely polite and just made you smile with his infectious enthusiasm for the ”fabulous filter coffee” and the ”terrific toast” (his words, not mine) that he served us. I just wish I had his name to include with this review as he deserves a special mention.
Overall it was a fantastic experience and the right choice of hotel to celebrate my wife's birthday. We will definitely be coming back.

GGuest UserLovely stay on a Monday night at Crazy Bear Beaconsfield. Only English restaurant was open so marked down the amenities as didn't really use others aside from the restaurant, bar and room. There is a lovely looking pool. Service was good. Mixup with our steak order was quite easily resolved however ended up with a cut of steak I didn't want. Would recommend booking restaurant time before 7pm as between 5-6.45 pm you get 25% off your total bill including alcoholic drinks. Would recommend offering prosecco on the menu. As cheapest champagne was around £100 so on the pricey side in general to eat and drink.

DDanny&RachelOverall, we really enjoyed our stay at the hotel! I would have loved to give it a higher score because our room was so spacious, clean, and had a lovely modern design that made it very comfortable. However, I did have to rate it a bit lower because we were surprised to find that, while the travel app suggested that the standard queen-size room would come with both a bathtub and a shower, it turns out that only the premium suites offer bathtubs. The staff were incredibly friendly and very helpful— it was a shame that they couldn't do anything about the app. They mentioned that if you're a member and book in advance, there might be some great upgrade options available. It’s just a disappointment that the photos and description on the app were misleading, as they made it look like all the queen-size rooms had bathtubs too!

GGuest UserThis hotel looks beautiful from outside with a lovely ground and impressive entrance, but however, I found the room & common area not so impressive  they need to give it a face lift to deserve the room rate. Especially with a high bathtub it’s quite dangerous as it’s slippery when you step into it to have a shower, even with the rubber mat on it , luckily I brought along my rubber slipper, which I can use to have a shower to prevent from slipping . Our room included breakfast, buffet table selection of food were poor, and the quality of food was not great even with basic smoke salmon it looks stale & the cooked breakfast was ok not impressive. The front desk reception staff were not helpful with problem . But the manager at the front desk was very helpful when we checked out , after hearing our comments about the problem he took note said he’ll look into the problem & told us to contact him when decide to stay with them next time. I do appreciate his helpfulness & trying to make the best of the situation, Cliveden Hotel should treasure him as the hotel manager.

CCM LaiThe room is very neat and clean. There are a gym and a small swimming pool, which you don't find very often in the hotels in the UK. The restaurant serves excellent breakfast. You may choose soy milk or oat milk for your coffee or tea in case you don't want dairy milk. If you like fruit juices, you have a few different ones to choose from. I particularly like their mango banana juice and freshly squeezed orange juice.
