The accommodation, while contemporary in its appointments and otherwise conducive to comfort, was marred by the constant mechanical drone emanating from the malfunctioning ceiling fan. The front desk's revelation that a previous occupant had registered a similar grievance raised questions about the establishment's operational protocols and guest placement decisions. Given this precedent, the rationale behind assigning me this room remained perplexing. Exhausted from my fourteen-hour transcontinental journey, I consented to their improvised solution of dampening the mechanism with paper—a stopgap measure that provided temporary relief. Nevertheless, this cursory fix merely underscores the necessity for proper mechanical intervention before subsequent guests are subjected to similar circumstances.

As a Travel RN, I spend a lot of time in hotels and this; by far, has been one of the best hotel experiences. Yes, it is an older building but you have to look past this. My room was spacious and clean, trash taken out daily as well as fresh towels daily. The bed was comfortable and all the standard hotel furnishing were present. The best part of my 10-day stay was it was quiet. No stomping noises above or kids running down hallways. The staff are friendly and helpful as well. Overall, I high recommend the Plantation Inn.

The location was perfect for us since my wife was in the Ochsner hospital next door. Access was easy from the hospital. The deli was convenient and open late. The food was good and service was excellent. The servers all seemed happy to be there. Coffee was readily available at the PJ's in the Atrium. The hotel staff were very understanding when asked about directions to various sectors of the hospital.

We came to celebrate my birthday and the room was clean, comfortable and customer service excellent. We had purchased the breakfast online option to our room and this saved us about $30 or so on the breakfast buffet, which had your normal things on it but it was fresh, hot and good service. Would definitely stay here again.

VVanessa RatcliffWhen I entered the room, the undeniable smell of urine perfumed the air. I looked for the source and, while getting in bed, I found it. It was the MATTRESS!!!!! I ask to place us in another room, which was accompanied with an apology. In the other room, it smelled less urine-like. YET, I lifted the blanket and noticed 2 DIRTY, I MEAN DIRTY, SOCKS that had been there since who-knows-when!!!!! This meant that the sheets were not cleaned, either!!!! We had to leave!!! This was an emergency trip and we will NEVER go here again!!!

MMadison Carolyn KateCheck in was easy and staff was friendly. The hotel is only a 5 min drive from the airport. They have a shuttle that goes to/from the airport every hour. You will need to call or email after booking to get the shuttle times if you plan to use it.

SShi Luna I stayed an additional night after my initial booking. The service remained just as excellent. Ohhh ask at the front desk for assistance with a taxi to the airport. Much cheaper than uber or lyft.

GGuest UserRoom was clean, spacious. Reception was quick but did not inform us that daily housekeeping would NOT be done. The hotel had a pool area but we were not informed that there was a charge for it. We had a lap next to the bed that was not working. An evening maintenance person had to replace the whole fixture, the way it was mounted he was not able to secure the new fixture completely and he said the day maintenance crew would take care of it. Never got done even though we told the front desk about the situation. We had a drawer on the dresser that insisted on opening itself about four inches. The night maintenance man attempted to fix it but was unable to accomplish it, so he said he would leave a note for the day maintenance crew to attend to it. Never happened. Hair dryer had some sticky stuff all over the handle. Many of the retail areas were not open Tuesday and Wednesday. Their weekend. Just happened to be the days we were there. ****** was large enough with plenty of machines. There is an event center but nothing was scheduled. There were no nightly entertainment as in other ******s.

GGuest UserWe booked this trip for a birthday treat. We thought the room was spacious, clean & had a massive TV. We had a bath & shower & a king sized bed. It’s next to Bourbon Street so loud music but earplugs are supplied. Reception staff are extremely helpful & provide recommended restaurants & places that deliver food to the hotel We didn’t use the gym or pool but would highly recommend this hotel for location. 5 mins from the Mississippi River
