De antieke stijl is zeer schoon en de locatie is zeer goed. Het is handig om naar de Huayan-tempel en de stadspoort te gaan om de lantaarns te zien, Zini 369, enz. Unfortunately, the overall stay was not great. When we booked the hotel, we specifically requested a non-smoking room, which is essential for us because of health issues. After double confirming with the hotel that they have non-smoking rooms (based on the website, all rooms are non smoking), we paid for our booking. However, shortly after, they informed us that smoking in hotel rooms is common and unavoidable in Taiyuan. We felt deceived into making the payment and realized we were stuck with this accommodation for our 7-day stay. Upon checking in, we had to request a room change due to a strong smoke smell in the original room. The second room was better and the hotel staff was nice enough to provide an air purifier. Throughout our entire stay, people were smoking in the elevator, lobby, and even at the dinner table. If we had known this beforehand, we would have reconsidered staying here. For a 5-star hotel, it did not meet our expectations, and unfortunately, we paid far too much for this experience. The only highlight of our stay was the hotel staff. They were always friendly, helpful, and did their very best to serve the guests, which made our trip a bit more enjoyable. We thank them for their excellent service.

Located within walking distance to Zhong Lou street and Liu Xiang which provides ample choices of food and shopping experience till late hours. It was lovely to have a small washing machine in the bathroom, that means less clothes to bring and more luggage space for shopping.

The hotel is located very well across from the airport, and it is a 10-minute walk from the airport. The room is large, the bed is comfortable, but the room has a lot of smoke, so the windows are open to ventilate.

Omdat de trein op de dag van vertrek 's avonds vertrok, wilde ik 's middags pauze nemen en de klantenservice hielp me ook om het uitchecken uit te stellen tot 2 uur. Ik was erg tevreden en een echte aanrader!

Het is 10 minuten lopen naar de Shanhua Tempel, de Negen Draken Muur, de Trommeltoren van de Confucianistische Tempel, enz. Het is ook meer dan 10 minuten lopen, maar in verschillende richtingen, wat betekent dat het hotel zich midden in de belangrijkste bezienswaardigheden bevindt. De Huayan Tempel is een beetje ver weg. Een taxi kost ongeveer 7-8 yuan. Kortom, het is erg gemakkelijk om overal naartoe te gaan. Het hangt af van je fysieke kracht. Als je fysiek sterk bent, kun je erheen lopen, wat ongeveer 20 minuten duurt. Een taxirit vanaf de hogesnelheidslijn en het Datong Museum kost ongeveer 15 yuan. Het is aan te raden om vanaf de hogesnelheidslijn naar het hotel te komen, en eerst naar het museum te gaan en dan naar het hotel. Laten we het over het ontbijt hebben. This is a big hotel in a good location ( walking distance to the ancient town) with spacious room , clean and comfortable beds. However, there are no fridge, nor save box in the room; kettle, tea, coffee provided. Love breakfast with a variety of choice, both western and Asian styles, especially the dinner buffet (158 yuan) is amazing; well done chefs! We love a lot of things about this hotel apart from the “shower tickets”; this should be clarified in the hotel’s policy that this ticket is just a discount coupon for using Spa. We thought this is for swimming pool. Overall, we had a good time at the hotel and lucky to visit the Buddha caves and the flying temple in one day. Highly recommend this hotel to any traveller in Datong.

I was truly surprised to find such a magnificent hotel at Yanmenguan. I looked it up and found that it's invested by Yanmenwang Winery and managed by Lihua Hotel Management. It's incredibly well-designed; the bold red and green colors, surprisingly, don't clash at all. The room has a duplex layout, making for a very comfortable stay. The staff are dedicated and professional. I saw some reviews mentioning parking issues, but that was probably during the May Day holiday. During our stay, we were able to park right in front of our room. The only downside is the lack of EV charging stations, but since it's likely in its soft opening phase, I expect that to be resolved later.

its very beautiful traditional building from the outside. but the interior is modern. its in the center, easy to access to crowded and animated places. At nightime, the place shine beautifullly, a picture snapshot spot. The room is spaciouse, otherwise it is quiet expensive.
