Amazing decision to go to Yinchuan for Dragon Boat Festival since it has the best weather and the cleanest city in China. Kempinski in this city is one of the best. The hotel is in the middle of the city, so there are multiple destinations to tour. For my trip, I did not go to the sand dune area. I focused on the ride share to the touristy movie film park snd neighboring theme town. The hotel is also near the growing 801 Creative Park, Night Market, and just a walk from the Ningxia Museum. So many more local and traditional spots. Bring an extra shopping bag. The hotel has a great view of their master plan development, delicious food options from the cafe to the German restaurant, and coffee/tea lobby lounge. The staff is bilingual and the grounds are immaculately clean. Sleeping and facilities really comfortable. Nicest locals all around. Thank you for a great stay.

Very clean room, good location, friendly and helpfull staff. We were given free buffet breakfast voucher when checked. Both staff miss 邢 and 小宋 service are very good. There is a self service laundry room, very convenient. Water dispenser, free flow of tea, fruits, snacks at lobby area. Thank you hotel mamagement, we had wonderful 2 days stay. We were given breakfast pack the third day when we checked out early.

We very much enjoyed our brief stay at JW Marriott in Yinchuan. A real highlight is the breakfast provided - a very wide selection with some local choices too. The room was very clean and comfortable and we would happily stay in the same hotel if visiting the area in the future.

Very good butler service. They contact us one day before our stay. Always keep us updated on the day’s activities. To me, their service is better than Desert Star Hotel’s . Hot pot buffet dinner is good. The night show at Tonghu Grassland is awesome. It’s raining when we reach there but luckily the show not cancelled.

一次十分神奇的體驗，一開始訂酒店選中這個就是因為好評很多，期待值拉滿。從聯繫上老闆娘那一刻就知道靠譜了！老闆娘人美心善好説話，提前發給我了房間號和密碼，安排了車來接我們，從進入沙漠那一刻，體驗到了沙漠的廣闊無垠，酒店的房間很乾凈，細節感滿滿，餐廳做飯也很好吃，晚上還有篝火晚會和煙花，總之非常滿意的一次旅程，下次再見咯！

GGuest UserAlthough the hotel is not particularly new, it has complete facilities and the surrounding environment is relatively good and quiet. The heating and air conditioning are sufficient, giving southerners a full sense of security. There are also many types of breakfast, and in order to avoid waste, they are very considerate and cut into small pieces. When breakfast is about to end, they will knock on the door of each room to ask if you have eaten breakfast. The service was very good and enthusiastic. The air conditioner was already on when I checked in. The lady at the front desk also helped to deliver the luggage to the room and explained the precautions very considerately.

The location is superb, far from any light pollution, so you can see the Milky Way and countless stars at night – it's absolutely stunning and so therapeutic ✨. The room is clean and comfortable, and you can even stargaze right from your bed. The owner is incredibly warm, attentive, and thoughtful. The whole atmosphere is fantastic, every photo turns out like a masterpiece. My experience was perfect, it's definitely worth making a special trip for, highly recommended!

GGuest UserI absolutely loved this place! I’m writing this as a foreigner who went with 4 other foreigners for a special birthday weekend. First, the service. We have good Chinese proficiency, but those with limited to none will be fine. Most of the communication and coordination is handled via WeChat - which can auto translate. 东 “Dong” was our main contact. He rocked and gave us a real experience. He shuttled us in the sand jeep, gifted me a cake for my birthday, and was just an overall cool guy. Thanks! Second, the location and accommodations. If you stay near Desert Star, there’s a lot of people and campsites - that area seems like a bit of a tourist funnel. This area is located in the REAL sand dunes area. Further North, you actually cross into Inner Mongolia. The separation and distance is worth it. Makes for brighter stars and a more authentic experience. Third, the food. They were able to coordinate a whole lamb to be roasted for my birthday. It was absolutely extraordinary. The sides for it were some of the best I had on the entire trip - they have some skilled chefs there. This place has great reviews, and it’s worth it. I do recommend this to foreigners, and I hope I can return one day.

GGuest UserIt's worthy of being called Xipo. The service and the room are so good. Taking advantage of the off-peak season, I came alone to experience the Yellow River Homestay. Each homestay has a different decoration style. I chose Xipo on the recommendation of my friend and was very satisfied. The facilities and services corresponding to this price are really worth it. The price of two nights in the off-season is equivalent to the price of a normal night. The hair dryer is Dyson, and the toiletries are all from the laboratory. There are also beer + drinks in the mini bar, freshly ground coffee, and freshly made bread (forgot to take a picture). The sea salt rolls are super delicious, and the scones are also good, not sweet at all, which suits my taste. The whole homestay is very quiet, close to the Yellow River, and there are trails. If there are many people at night, you can drink, eat barbecue and watch the stars by the Yellow River. The service of private butler Xiaoying is really excellent. She will contact the guests about three days before you check in and help arrange some matters, such as car pick-up, introduction of food, drink and entertainment nearby, food, drink and entertainment in Zhongwei, and travel photography needs. ZZhacairousiThis truly lives up to its reputation as Yinchuan's best five-star hotel. First, the room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, especially the bathroom, which was surprisingly large—it felt even bigger than the bedroom! The shower pressure was fantastic, and the toiletries were a British brand with a lovely, natural scent. The bedding was super comfortable, ensuring a restful sleep. They even provided a capsule coffee machine with coffee capsules. The complimentary shoe-shining service was a thoughtful touch, and the in-room internet was fast and reliable. Secondly, the breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of high-quality dishes. The Western pastry selection, especially the flaky croissants, was authentic and delicious. The live cooking stations for Eggs Benedict and egg white rolls are features you typically only find in top-tier five-star hotels. They also had freshly squeezed watermelon juice and rich, high-quality coffee. What really impressed me were the local Ningxia specialties in the Chinese section, such as Jinsi Sanzi, Tangmaya, Tangmaye, fried pastries, and mung bean cakes. The chef even enthusiastically introduced these local delicacies to me. And of course, there were other Ningxia specialties like lamb soup, lamb pies, beef buns, and goji berry yogurt—I was extremely satisfied. Finally, all the hotel staff provided excellent service, especially the housekeeping attendant on the day I checked in. This lady deserves special commendation for her thoughtful and warm service. The front desk even accommodated my request to keep a room key card, specially giving me a pristine commemorative card. Additionally, the hotel is conveniently located near the Ningxia Museum. The JW Marriott Hotel Yinchuan left a wonderful impression on me. Yinchuan truly is a beautiful and friendly city.

WWitidaWe came to Yinchuan to visit Helan Rock painting mountain an Xixia tomb so we didn't see downtown that much. The hotel is in the center of the district, near the drum tower, surrounded by stores and restaurants, easily to find everything you need. The staff of the hotel didn't speak English but they're polite and kind. On the day we checked out there's a misunderstanding: they said we had to pay them while we had already prepaid via TRIP.com. We showed them the receipt in Chinese but they couldn't find it in their system. After 15 mins they let us go. We confusedly contacted TRIP customer service and were informed clearly there's no problem at all with our payment. TRIP dealt with the hotel themselves. I wouldn't complain the hotel about this since such thing could happen but I suggest you to always keep the receipt in Chinese and contact TRIP customer service suddenly and let them deal with the hotel, especially if your train is about to leave the station :)
