Hotels met Bar in Oita Prefecture, Japan

Location of the hotel is great. I came from Hiroshima. The journey is very long. I stayed 3 nights here. Breakfast was kinda okay, they have alot of spread. I paid for 1 x breakfast at 3300 yen. Personally i feel the price can be lower. Afew items to highlights were Tempura prawn, mentaiko, corn soup, soba and grilled beef. They have welcome drink (tea/coffee/soft drinks) for certain hours. Topup 1000 yen you can get unlimited alcohol. The location of the hotel is excellent, close to the station. And also they have 2 properties . Next to each other. There’s 6 laudry machines. A sky pool, sauna and indoor bath (onsen). I can see the hotel emphasis/uses alot of technology . Your door card can be paid for many things (laundry and vending machine) including partner restaurants outside the hotels. Where you can charge the expenses to your room. There’s a touch pad in the room, for you go control lighting, air conditioning , check hotel information and even control the TV. The only downside is the touchpad is very bright. It takes too long for it to go into idle mode. The cast and mirroring was lagging for me. As for the wifi, i find it weird that it only allows in my room. I had not as for the hotel wide wifi, not sure if there’s one. The room wifi was okay. The pool on the roof was great . You can see almost the whole beppu. Sadly I did not take photos of it. It was very chill . I would definitely stay here again just for the pool and onsen. The room clothes hangers were kinda little. There’s only 4 of them. The ice machine is at L2 inbetween the fitness center and the laundry. I would like to suggest to relocate it. As it is located directly next to the smoking room. And both times I am there to collect the ice with the cup provided, I almost out of breath from the cigarette. The Washing machine had locking mechanism on it, so other guests would not take your clothes. Select checkout was brilliant, they have 2 counters for it. I ate a breakfast, did 2 laundry and one vending machine. It was calculated perfectly. The staff at the reception were very helpful . Overall the stay was good! Will stay again if I am in Beppu. Het ontbijt en het openbare bad waren fantastisch! Het perfecte hotel voor reizigers die zowel efficiëntie als ontspanning zoeken. Het hotel ligt op loopafstand van het station en er zijn diverse winkels in de buurt, wat het erg handig maakt. Het is ideaal voor zakenreizen en vakanties, omdat je snel je bagage kunt afgeven en naar je bestemming kunt gaan, of snel kunt pakken wat je nodig hebt en terug kunt keren naar je kamer, waardoor je geen tijd verspilt. Het openbare bad biedt de mogelijkheid om te ontspannen na een lange reisdag, en de goed uitgeruste fitnessruimte is een aanrader voor wie zelfzorg belangrijk vindt. Het ontbijtbuffet was gevarieerd en heerlijk, en ik was vooral onder de indruk van de constante kwaliteitscontroles van de chef-kok. Zijn professionele aanpak was duidelijk merkbaar, waardoor ik met een gerust hart van mijn maaltijd kon genieten. De kamer was schoon en ruim. De verlichting was aangenaam, waardoor het de perfecte ruimte was voor zowel werk als ontspanning. Ik zou hier zeker nog eens verblijven.

Beautiful sea view from the room, and the balcony is super spacious! However, the room layout is quite tight, can’t even fully open a large luggage. Service is excellent, and the amenities are impressive, even providing skincare face masks. Really enjoyed the in room onsen. Perfect for honeymoon couples 👍

a bit of walk from the train station as you can find places that are nearer if you are carrying more suitcases. i dont mind the walk as you pass by a lot of nice restaurants. can walk along the commercial street under shade even though hot summer day it is still quite sweaty. there seems to be a nice restaurant on the second floor but didnt get a chance to try. right near art museum and auditorium. quite city center.

預訂了這家酒店後一直很忐忑，但是事實證明，選擇非常正確！ 酒店是一棟日式庭院建築，一共6間房，從別府JR打車大概15分鐘。進入庭院開始，就受到非常熱情的接待。因為預訂的二樓，工作人員會在你辦理入住的時候，幫你把箱子全部搬到房間。 一泊二食一定要試試，太划算了！因為酒店提供的晚餐和早餐真的是超級好吃！ 晚餐特別的豐富，根本吃不完，而且晚餐的黑毛和牛還有特供證書，很有意思🤔 下午三點到達酒店，入住後就去泡湯了，一共三個私湯，兩個室外一個室內。 個人更喜歡室外的兩個，設計和佈局基本一致，選擇哪個都一樣，而且可以自己調節水温，可以多泡一會。女性客人可以在前台選擇自己喜歡的浴衣，花色都很漂亮，適合拍照。 酒店的服務是我這次入住的所有酒店最好的。晚上提供晚餐和鋪床服務的是一位聽力殘障員工，但卻讓我和家人感受到此行最滿意的服務，得知我第二天就要趕火車，主動提醒現在別府出租車較為緊張，並幫我提前預訂了出租車。 非常推薦來這家試試私湯，美食和服務。

Hello, everyone! We recently stayed at this hotel, and the experience was mixed — there are some nice touches, but also noticeable shortcomings. **Room:** The room was spacious but clearly outdated; furniture and interior look worn. The ventilation works, yet it still feels quite stuffy inside. It would be great if the hotel improved air-conditioning or installed mosquito screens: the sea view is beautiful, but opening the window isn’t an option because of too many insects. **Facilities & Service:** The only real extras are massage service and a shared onsen. There’s no gym, pool, or other activities — the hotel is designed for quiet relaxation. A shuttle service is available, which is convenient, but if you miss it, getting to the hotel on your own can be quite difficult. During this stay the hotel was quite busy, and it often took a long time to catch the elevator to our floor. **Dining:** Breakfast and dinner can be pre-booked; the food was tasty and varied. The bar offers a pleasant atmosphere with a decent drink selection, and in the evening the lobby lounge opens with alcoholic drinks and light snacks — a nice way to unwind after a day of sightseeing. **Location:** The property faces Beppu Bay, yet the seaside feeling is limited — there are few walking areas nearby, and due to insects it’s hard to enjoy the open air. **Overall:** A good option for a calm, onsen-style getaway with decent food and polite staff, but when the hotel is crowded, the lack of facilities and outdated rooms become more noticeable. With some modernization and better infrastructure, this could be an excellent resort.

I found the public onsen small not enough facilities and amenities. Befire, all other onsen I stayed usually provide drinks juices and ice cream. but here, after the sauna I didn't see a bottle of water !. and the rubbish bin for so full and the water refill was empty. secondly, we booked dinner 2 x but the food is just average and the size portion is small. not as good as others I stayed before in Japan.

깔끔한 내부와 편안한 욕탕덕에 즐겁게 지냈습니다. 노천탕이 특히나 좋았고 좋은 숙소였습니다. 청결도의 경우 세면대 쪽의 이물질이 청소가 덜 되어 있었습니다. 그걸 제외하곤 정말 깔끔한 숙소였습니다.

Grandvrio Hotel Beppuwan Wakura is an excellent choice with a superb location. We especially enjoyed the free foot spa, the onsen with its great ocean view and well-provided amenities, as well as the complimentary drinks. The rooms were comfortable and spacious enough for a family of four, and the ocean view made the stay even more enjoyable.

Drove to the hotel so location wasn’t an issue but what a luxurious resort stay for the family! The dinner buffet options were plenty with roasted beef, seafood and plenty of alcohol options. The indoor water slides and wave pool provided much entertainment for kids and they definitely enjoyed it. Bedrooms were comfortable and relatively newly renovated so we enjoyed the stay a lot. Will definitely drop by again if there’s a chance!
