Hotels met Bar in Nagano Prefecture, Japan

De kamer was comfortabel, en hoewel een beetje klein, was het bed ruim en comfortabel. Het toilet en de badkamer waren ook ruim, en het was fijn om YouTube op de tv te kunnen kijken. Ik probeerde de massageservice van het hotel, maar helaas was er maar één medewerker beschikbaar en konden ze me niet helpen. Het zou beter zijn geweest als ze meer personeel hadden ingezet, zelfs tijdens lange vakanties. Het ontbijt was heerlijk en we genoten van lokale ingrediënten en specialiteiten uit Nagano. Het hotel ligt direct aan het station, naast winkels en restaurants, en Don Quijote, wat het een zeer gunstige locatie maakt. De kamer was comfortabel, met een ruim bed, ondanks de beperkte ruimte. De ligging was erg gunstig, met een directe verbinding naar het winkel- en restaurantgebied van het station en naar Don Quijote.

The price is not that expensive, so we didn’t expect that much. However, everything was really great. Large and clean public onsen. The breakfast was really really brilliant - variety of food and the taste is very yummy. Only the con is a bit far from the city but it’s not our concern. Really impressed. The hotel also provides the drinking station everywhere. Free drinks and snack at the lounge too.

It was a great experience to stay in this hotel! Very nice view and staff are very polite and willing to answer many questions. Outdoor area is very big that we could take bicycles with kids. Also there are kids outdoor playground that can spend whole day there. 

The hotel is really well situated, less than 10 minutes from the JR station, and on the same street as the Shrine, so there were lots of places to eat nearby. I stayed in a dorm, which had more people than I expected for a room (I think I saw at least 60 bed/lockers) so it was quite loud even at night as people kept walking in and out. The actual bed was fine, and the people at the front took their time to walk me through what to know for the hostel. The lounge is a little awkwardly partitioned, but at least you get a space to use if you need food. The dorm itself, I think has a little too many people to be comfortable but is clean enough. The lights never turn off, but because you have a curtain, it blocks out most of it. The largest issue is the noise, since people are coming in and out at random times of the night, and the buttons to open the door are also quite loud when you're trying to sleep. If you want ear plugs, they have them for a fee at the front. Nagano overall was very nice though, and the location made it a lot easier to get around.

I chosen Cottage A to stay in. While there is nothing much to complain about the cute cottage, personally it is a bit too small for me. But nice environment, good and helpful staff and a very convenient shuttle system to bring you around. You can also call an internal shuttle service that can ferry you from your cottage to the newer West hotel for their buffet breakfast. Otherwise you can eat at the East Hotel for either a Japanese meal set breakfast or a Western style set breakfast. The bread is really good and soft. The outlet shopping mall is accessed by their half hourly shuttle bus and you can do your premium shopping there and eat at their various restaurants or at their food court style food outlets.

One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in. We visited in early November 2025 during the autumn season, and the beautiful foliage added such a romantic touch to the surroundings. I loved the modern interior, the comfortable bed, and the overall room layout. The hotel looks incredibly romantic at night too, especially with the reflections on the pond. The outdoor onsen was a highlight. It felt serene at night, and the maple trees lit up in the evening made it absolutely scenic. The onsen is located in a separate building, so you do have to walk through the cold, but it wasn’t an issue as the hotel provides thicker robes. If I had to nitpick, the indoor slippers weren’t the most comfortable. We drove during our stay, so getting to nearby attractions was easy. There’s a large supermarket and a pharmacy about 5–10 minutes away, which was very convenient — we didn’t even need to visit any convenience stores. This hotel impressed me so much that it made me look up where else Hotel Indigo has branches in Japan!

Het personeel is vriendelijk en de warmwaterbronnen zijn uitstekend. De nabijheid van station Kamisuwa is ook een pluspunt. Er wordt vaak vis geserveerd bij het ontbijt. Ik hoop dat jullie allemaal een fijne ervaring zullen hebben.

Een standaard ryokan in Japanse stijl op een geweldige locatie, met bijzonder behulpzaam en gastvrij personeel. Dit was de meest bevredigende ryokan die ik op deze reis heb geboekt. Ik ben vooral de ervaren dame aan de receptie en meneer Ji dankbaar voor hun hulp bij het reserveren van accommodatie voor mijn volgende reis in het Japans en het herhaaldelijk bevestigen van de veiligheidsmaatregelen. Ik hoop dat ik de volgende keer een langer verblijf kan boeken.
