I stayed for one night and had a really pleasant experience. The breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of options. The only thing I missed was a bathrobe to use after showering — and it would be even better if the toilet had an automatic bidet. Other than that, everything was perfect: clean rooms, cozy atmosphere, and friendly service. Truly a wonderful stay overall!"

"This place far exceeded my expectations! I booked a regular room with a queen bed for me and my little one and was upgraded to a yurt with 2 queen beds for free! I LOVED the yurt experience. There is a stargazing window which was amazing. The place was clean (but it is a wet shower meaning the entire bathroom gets wet when you shower). I think most yurts and even hotel rooms have these types of bathrooms in inner mongolia. The girl at the front desk provided extra of everything when asked. She helped me booked activities (we watched a horse and a wedding performance, and we also did horseback riding). They have 2 cute lambs on the properties. The restaurant is in a separate large yurt - I found the food to be a bit pricey. Breakfast was included in our price and it had a variety of local food we got to try. They were also so flexible with when we wanted to eat it which was very kind because I had a little one with me. Everything else was honestly wonderful. We got to borrow their Mongolian costumes and wore it to one of the performances. People kept asking me where I got the costume was. There’s a swing on the property where you can sit to stargaze at night. The inside of the yurt is pretty chilly at night because it’s cold at night outside but with the thick duvet, it felt sooo comfortable. During the day it’s quite warm. The bonfire performance that’s included in the price is actually located 10 mins away and ended at 9pm so don’t go later than 8:30pm if you want to watch it. Overall, this was an incredible experience and we would definitely come back to stay here again!"

"room was clean and spacious. No complaints here. Checking in and out worked smoothly. But 2 things I have to complain about:
1) I have no idea why some people say the breakfast is great. For me and my wife it was terrible. Possibly the worst breakfast I ever had. Yes, they have a lot to offer. But somehow they make everything taste cheap and ”weird”. I ended up eating some dry bread with jam, because I couldn't eat anything else. I suspect that they don't cook by themselves, but buy some cheap readymade food and sell it as ”fresh”. Also, the breakfast still looks exactly the same as the pictures from more than 6 months ago. No change at all
2) no option to clean the clothes is ridiculous. I have no problem to pay or wash by myself but both they didn't allow me to do. I never saw this before.
All in all it's not bad. If you don't care about the breakfast and don't want to wash your clothes, this hotel might be for you. The rooms are good and the service also very nice (apart from ”you can guess” the breakfast staff)"

GGuest UserThe hotel boasts high-end decor and excellent cleanliness, with a superb location right by the racecourse. It feels grand and impressive.
However, my stay wasn't as comfortable as I'd hoped. First, my room was quite a trek from the lobby, easily 50-60 meters away. Second, the pillows were all incredibly high; all four provided were the same, offering no softer alternative, which led to a restless night. Third, the toilet wasn't smart, and the toilet paper holder was awkwardly placed behind it, feeling a bit outdated. Fourth, the staff seemed accustomed to serving VIPs; for regular guests like us, they were rather cold and unresponsive. They'd only answer direct questions, and when I asked about breakfast, they didn't volunteer information about the hours or where it was served, which almost caused me to miss it. Most hotels serve until 10 AM, but here it's 9:30 AM.

We had a wonderful stay, largely thanks to one of the owners who went out of their way to organize activities for us and made our experience truly memorable. The dinner and show were fantastic—featuring original-style Mongolian traditional dance and singing that felt authentic and captivating. Both lunch and dinner were excellent, and we were especially impressed by the Lamb Bao served at breakfast. Overall, the service and warmth from the people were genuinely good.
That said, all the costs were quite expensive compared to what I'm used to after living and traveling in China for more than 10 years. I would recommend the horse riding off the main area, as they suggest, but the Happy Ranch was not that fulfilling—most of the rides and activities there weren't worth the time or money. That's an external activity though, so no discredit to the hotel itself. While we didn't end up using the actual amenities, the hospitality and cultural performance alone made the visit worthwhile.

GGuest UserOur group of road-tripping friends chose the Anda Inn, and it was a great choice. The courtyard is spacious, so parking was absolutely stress-free. The rooms were meticulously cleaned; there wasn't a speck of dust on furniture edges, and the bathroom counter was spotless, free of water stains. During the day, the owner drove us around the grasslands for free, and we got significant discounts on all sorts of activities. In the evening, there was a bonfire, with all ingredients sourced locally from the pastoral areas. At night, we could lie back in our room and gaze at the starry sky. The relaxation and recovery experience far exceeded our expectations.

PPaucassoI am a young Englishman on a 20 day solo self-drive road trip across northern Heilongjian and Inner Mongolia. After my stay in Hulun Buir, I decided to drive down to Arxan for 2 nights exploring. I booked this stay based off of the other foreign guests' positive experience.
I arrived in the town late in the evening. The boss was waiting for me and was attentive and welcoming from the start.
The room is very spacious and comfortable, and the temperature was just right. Everything is provided and replaced when needed.
After hiking in the national park, I came back to the boss and his extended family making CNY preparations. Then I was invited to drink Chinese tea (Dian Hong) at their tea table. I was then welcomed to eat with the family, drink beer and eat until I was full. I was welcomed not just as a guest of theirs, but as a family friend.
In mid-winter, Aershan/Arxan is a quiet and cold place. I came as part of a long journey taking my rented 4x4 Tank 300 through the snow and ice on routes apart of the Hulun Buir Snow and Ice Festival. My journey was peaceful, solemn and isolated. The hospitality and warm welcome was exactly what I needed after my long drive alone and it is a memory I will take home to the UK with me.
I highly recommend this guesthouse, especially if you are travelling solo across this wilderness.
Thank you brother. I look forward to returning in the near future with my partner, and when my mandarin is better.

LlienesadventuresThere were a few frustrating issues with our stay here. First off, the property is in a neighborhood that is accessed through a guarded gate. Hotel instructions after booking said to reach out to them to inquire about car parking and accessibility. I e-mailed the hotel a week prior and didn't hear back. I e-mailed again 2 days before our stay and did not receive a response. That was already frustrating. Once we arrived at the guard gate on the day of the check-in, the guard ordered us to drive away. He had absolutely no interest in even looking at our reservation or helping. The least helpful person we have met in China so far, he just basically yelled at us. I ended up having to walk to the hotel, where a staff member had to phone the guard to eventually let us in. Overall, this was a totally wasted, frustrating hour. Once we got assigned a room, it was evident a large dog had stayed there for several days. The room smelled very bad, which even the staff member agreed with. So, we had to ask for a room change. The new room was ok - the bed was nice and soft, however it lacked in some cleanliness (toothpaste splashes on the bathroom mirror etc.). The staff was definitely nice and tried their best to rectify all the issues, however, we would probably choose another hotel in the future. Not the 4* experience one would hope for.

AAnonymous UserI'm so glad we booked our stay inside the Xiangshawan Desert Scenic Area! It made everything so incredibly easy. Each room came with 6 bottles of water, and the air conditioning was already on before we even arrived. Even though it's a yurt, the interior space is very large, and the private bathroom is super clean. The hotel's services were all excellent. The all-inclusive meals were not at all superficial; each meal featured local specialties like lamb offal soup, savory milk tea, and plenty of beef and lamb. The quality was on par with outside restaurants, and we all agreed their milk tea was the best we had during our entire trip. After a fun day exploring the two islands, returning to the hotel wasn't boring at all. In the evenings, there were disco parties, firework displays, and stargazing. Every event was well-organized and very entertaining. It truly lived up to its nickname, 'Desert Disney'! Definitely worth the trip!

JJacki4Few of the amenities listed on the listing page are available. Maybe they were at some point in the past long ago, but this hotel is far from in its prime.
There is no sauna. The ”bath center” where this was has been converted into a commercial spa for a business unrelated to the hotel.
There is no night club.
There is no ”gym” as shown in one of the pictures. I believe a lot of the pictures shown on the listing page are years if not decades old.
There is no ”boutique”. There is one tiny convenience store on the first floor.
The hotel has a restaurant on the second floor. I only used it for the free breakfast which was good.
The hotel largely focuses on catering to business events. They have meeting spaces and a big ornate looking meeting space. For normal travellers, this hotel is very bare bones.
Service was great. The staff are friendly and helpful.
The laundry is not self service. You need to pay per article of clothing for someone to take it.
The room itself lacked a minibar, functional air conditioning, or a functional safe. It was very spartan.
Would I come here again? Not for the listed price. Without any of the advertised amenities, I can't imagine this is much better than cheaper hotels in the area.

They require a deposit, and if you don't give it, they lock up your slippers and the refrigerator. 2. There's no headrest, just a bump; who can comfortably sit there? 3. They take away your slippers, give you a pair, but won't let you wear them in the shower! 4. The space under the TV is too narrow; you can't put anything there! 5. They only serve shumai on Wednesdays and Fridays! 6. It takes over ten minutes to cook a bowl of noodles! Such a huge pot for just one bowl of noodles?! The service is also indifferent! I strongly advise against this hotel. I originally booked for two days, but I immediately checked out!
