たくさんの赤い布が下がっていました

　遠野駅前から南西方向へ1kmほどの道路わきに、卯子酉様（「うねどりさま」と読みます）と言われる小さな神社がありました。目立つ看板があるわけではないので、うっかり通り過ぎてしまいそうになりました。 　ここは、恋愛の神様としてカップルがよく訪れるそうです。境内の無人売店で売っている赤い布を、左手だけで木に結ぶことができれば、恋人と結ばれると言われているんです。
