Sao Nicolau Church

Nice Approach

Came here as part of a cruise excursion to see the crater lakes. It's a pleasant enough provincial church. The approach to the church is lovely.

Beautiful Church

The Church of São Nicolau was built in 1857. The path to the church is pretty and it is well worth going inside.

Beautiful setting

The treelined walkway leading up to this church is gorgeous. We were on a jeep tour around the island and stopped here. It was magical.
