Well-marked trails, family friendly, the sheltered bay and clean pit toilets make this a perfect place to stop for a picnic. Excellent views over Johnson Strait to the nearby islands and mainland.

lovey park

Just moved to the area and love this park. nice long walk to the beach with plenty to see along the way. Beautiful beach with a lovely bay to swim in during high tide in the summer.

Lovely easy walk.

Nice walk beside the bay and through forest to an open meadow. We saw a heron near the pond and heard frogs later on. Very relaxing stroll.

Day hike from Nanaimo

Well marked paths around the park and down to the bays. Picnic tables. Big trees and big views. So close to the city, yet so far. Nice and peaceful so we will come back to spend more time here again...
