Monument to the Three Views of Japan: Miyajima

Visitors were stopping here and posing for pictures!

I was surprised to see people stopping here to take photos of themseves with this attraction. Not sure what the Japanese signage says, I simply did what they were doing, did some selfies and proceeded...

Three great sights of Japan?!

A bit of a mystery, this stone monument apparently recognizes Miyajima as one of three most beautiful sites in Japan. Somehow, if they have to tell you that, it may be questionable.

No English

This neat little plaque is quite picturesque and signifies that the island is one of the three best places to visit for a good view in Japan - unfortunately there is no English to tell us that.

Как мне объяснили таких монументов в Японии только три. Это три лучших вида в Японии по мнению какого-то мыслителя. Точнее сказать не могу.
