The public areas are exceptionally well-designed, beautifully blending Park Hyatt's signature luxury with a Japanese onsen resort vibe. The overall atmosphere feels both sophisticated and relaxing. The breakfast and the selection of restaurants are much more extensive than at the neighboring Higashiyama Niseko Village, and the food itself tasted noticeably better. Service is also a major plus here. The welcome fruit wasn't just generic apples, pears, or bananas; they offered a plate of strawberries, which felt very thoughtful. Whether it was the Japanese staff, foreign staff, or the Chinese-speaking employees, everyone was consistently warm and natural. I was particularly impressed by a young woman in the restaurant department, who seemed to be from Henan, China. She was incredibly welcoming and friendly, making conversations very pleasant. Communicating with other foreign staff members in Japanese was also seamless; there was no need to force English, nor did we have to resort to translation apps like we did at Higashiyama Niseko Village. Finally, upon departure, since the hotel doesn't have a shuttle bus and we couldn't immediately find a taxi, the hotel thoughtfully arranged a complimentary business car to take us to the station, which was a huge bonus to the overall experience. The basic room type in the hotel building is a large suite with a double bathroom design, offering a high level of comfort. There are some drawbacks, however. As a hotel opened in 2020, there are already visible signs of wear and tear on some of the leather and fabric in the rooms, so the maintenance isn't perfectly pristine. The views are also significantly less impressive compared to Higashiyama Niseko Village, where you can see Mount Yotei directly from the lobby, rooms, and even the onsen. Additionally, this hotel has more rooms and also accommodates quite a few group tours, so even during the non-snow season, it's quite popular, making it less quiet overall than Higashiyama Niseko Village.

This hotel is located on a hilltop, offering fantastic views of both the lake and the sea. We stayed in a lake-view room this time and even caught a fireworks display at night, though they were a bit small. The sunrise in the morning was absolutely beautiful, with a very tranquil lake. While the hotel is a bit older, the amenities and service are still top-notch. I really love this hotel.

Really enjoyed my stay here! Loved the room, the service and the wide range of amenities here. Brought my mom here for a relaxing day and I think she really enjoyed it! My favourite part of staying here is definitely the onsen! It's separated into male and female sections, and for the female section it had a multiple (10-ish?) indoor pools and 4 outdoor pools. I personally didn't really enjoy the indoor onsen as the air just felt so warm, but I really enjoyed the outdoor onsen! You can even order drinks like sake to enjoy as you soak in the onsen. One thing to note is that the female onsen does not have a view overlooking the hell valley, which believe can be seen in the male section... but I later discovered that in the swimming pool section, there's this outdoor area with a jacuzzi that overlooks the hell valley!! So that made up for it hahha. Anws, the hotel was also a walking distance to all the key attractions, which was really convenient! One last thing to note is that most restaurants in and outside of the hotel closes for break at 3pm, so you may want to come earlier to check in or eat lunch before checking in at 2pm, or else you will run in the same issue as we did, which was not being able to find FOOD and the only restaurants that were open were slow and overpriced... anw still highly recommend this place :)

Stayed at Noboribetsu Sekisui Tei for a relaxing getaway and overall had a pleasant experience. The hotel has a very traditional Japanese ryokan atmosphere, especially with the onsen facilities which were clean, spacious, and very relaxing after a long day of travelling. The location is convenient if you are visiting Noboribetsu Jigokudani (Hell Valley) as it is only a short distance away. The room was comfortable and reasonably spacious, though some parts of the hotel do feel slightly dated. Staff were polite and helpful throughout the stay. The buffet breakfast and dinner had a decent variety of Japanese dishes and seafood, and the dining experience was enjoyable. One of the highlights was definitely the outdoor hot spring bath, especially during the colder weather. Very peaceful and calming experience. Overall, a good stay for anyone looking to experience a traditional onsen hotel in Noboribetsu with good service and relaxing hot springs.

My stay at Jozankei View Hotel was fantastic. The hotel has a very tranquil atmosphere, perfect for a hot spring resort. The dinner quality was a pleasant surprise; the sashimi and sweet shrimp were incredibly fresh, and the beef was delicious. For breakfast, the seafood donburi was also amazing and very satisfying. The onsen facilities were spacious and comfortable, making for a truly relaxing soak. Overall, the service, food, and environment were excellent. It was a very satisfying hot spring hotel experience and definitely worth recommending.

The room was quite spacious, though a bit dated. For just over 1000, it included breakfast and dinner, and the variety of dishes was impressive – definitely recommended! Plus, the free shuttle bus service from the hotel to Sapporo city center was a huge bonus.

Bed is rock hard. After 4 nights, I have serious back ache, plus I'm lacking in sleep, due to how hard and uncomfortable the bed was. The pool facility wasn't fully open (it only does so in August). The last week in July at least opens the some of the outside area for use, but it doesn't fully open until August. They'd also made the 25m outside pool a wipeout/ninja obstacle course so, if you want to actually swim [do some lengths etc] then the only place you can do this was initially only open in August and even then it is now taken over by an obstacle. The indoor sections are open all year round. You have to pay extra to access the slides - not too crazy at 500 or 600yen depending on the day for unlimited access (you're given a wristband). Breakfast was ok. Wide variety of foods - some of which I wouldn't normally associate with breakfast, but still nice to have choices. Signage claims it gets busy after 8am. This is definitely not true - it's busy when it first opens at 7am and then slowly gets quieter over the 7~10 opening times (last entry at 9:30). Can't speak about weekends tho. Shuttle bus is busiest at the 5pm time slot. Overall, a ”resort” that claims to be 4 stars it most certainly isn't. 2 stars yes. 2.5 maybe. But the whole place just feels quite dated and far from the luxury expected from a ”4 star hotel”. Apart from the bed as I've already mentioned, the room was a good enough size but all the decor and controls were old. The Aircon control was worn and glitchy (button presses would turn it off etc) but at least it worked and made the room the temp we wanted. The lighting panel has had so many changes there are stickers on it to blank out buttons which no longer function - fair enough, but maybe spend a bit of money on a decent upgrade??? This hotel isn't cheap!

We stayed at Rusutsu Resort Hotel & Convention and we were truly impressed. We came for skiing, and the location is perfect — just step out of the hotel and you’re right at the ski slopes. So convenient .⛷️❄️ The room was spacious, very clean, and extremely comfortable. The snowy view from the window made the whole experience even more special. After a full day of skiing, relaxing in the onsen was absolutely amazing. It was the perfect way to unwind and recharge. ♨️✨ The staff were friendly, polite, and very helpful. Overall, it was a comfortable and memorable stay. Definitely a place we would love to come back to again.❤️Bkk Thailand ❤️

If you're looking for a quiet stay, this might not be the best choice as there are many children. The rooms on the 8th floor and above have a luxurious feel and require a special key card to access them via the elevator. Dinner is delicious and offers a wide variety of options.

Highly recommended! We booked a Western-style room in the West Wing, and it was incredibly spacious with fantastic views. The only minor drawback was the bit of a walk to the onsen, restaurant, and smoking room. The dinner is an absolute must-try – super abundant and authentically Japanese, with high-quality ingredients. The scallops and wagyu beef are unlimited, and there's an all-you-can-drink alcohol option, plus daily rotating dishes. We even got to try venison and bear meat! We stayed for two days, and there weren't many tour groups yet, but lots of Japanese seniors. It made me wonder if it reminded them of the prosperity during Japan's economic boom. The onsen area is also huge, and the wash and shower areas were the largest I've seen in Japan. They clearly label whether the baths are regular tap water or hot spring water, and I saw staff meticulously checking the temperature and water quality of each one.
