Stayed here for 3 nights and overall had a really positive experience.
The location is super convenient, about a 5-minute walk to both the train station and MTR, which made getting around effortless. There are plenty of convenience stores right nearby.
The hotel has a nice quiet vibe, which was perfect after busy days out exploring. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
The room itself was a standout, surprisingly big and spacious by Japanese standards. It was spotlessly clean and tidy, and there was still plenty of floor space even after we opened two large suitcases (something that’s almost impossible in most other compact hotels in Japan).
The only downside was the bedding. The duvet (?) was way too thick and heavy for my liking. It made the bed feel quite hot at night, and I ended up sweating a lot despite the AC.
Otherwise, this place was near perfect. Would definitely recommend it to others, especially if you’re okay with cranking the AC lower. Solid choice!

We had a pleasant stay at InterContinental Sapporo by IHG. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were consistently friendly and professional. The location was convenient for exploring the city, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel felt calm and welcoming. We would definitely consider staying here again.
Rusutsu Resort is an excellent choice for families, especially those traveling with children. The resort offers a wide variety of facilities all in one place, making it very convenient and stress-free for family trips. There are indoor and outdoor activities, play areas, ski facilities, and entertainment options suitable for both kids and adults, so everyone can find something to enjoy.
One of the biggest advantages is the location. The resort is very close to a convenience store, which is extremely helpful for families — whether you need snacks, drinks, daily essentials, or quick meals, everything is within easy reach.
There are also many restaurants inside the resort, offering different types of cuisine. However, it’s important to note that several popular restaurants require advance reservations, especially during peak seasons. Planning ahead is highly recommended to avoid long waits or limited dining options.
Overall, Rusutsu Resort is very family-friendly, well-organized, and convenient. With its wide range of facilities, nearby convenience store, and diverse dining choices, it’s a great destination for a comfortable and enjoyable family holiday — just remember to book restaurants early.
The Windsor Hotel at Toya may boast its status as a premier 5-star luxury destination and its historic role as host of the 2008 G8 Hokkaido Toyako Summit, but our recent stay fell far short of expectations.
Despite the grandeur of the location and its breathtaking views, the service quality was surprisingly poor for a hotel of this caliber. English communication was inconsistent and below the standard expected at an international luxury property. Housekeeping was careless—leaving a used cleaning towel on the bed after daily room service, which is simply unacceptable.
When I drove to the main entrance to pick up my family, I was abruptly asked to leave immediately, even though only a few cars were present. This lack of hospitality was jarring. Additionally, being charged for extra bottled water—something even 3-star hotels offer complimentary—felt petty and out of touch with luxury norms.
The most troubling experience came during checkout. Two of our international credit cards failed to process, and although we successfully paid with a third, the staff’s attitude was unprofessional. We were met with a sour expression and the word “FINALLY” once the transaction went through—an unacceptable remark that left a lasting negative impression.
While the hotel’s setting is undeniably beautiful, the overall service and treatment we received did not reflect the standards of a true 5-star experience. I hope the management takes these concerns seriously and works to improve both staff training and guest relations.
Very clean hotel with good onsen amenities, and the choices of food for its dinner and lunch buffets are awesome. Very near the bus stop as well, so it is easy to get to.

Amazing
YYing, StaceyThe staff at Park Hyatt are incredibly attentive and thoughtful. The front desk ladies are not only beautiful but also very meticulous and considerate, especially kind and warm towards children. This time, I'd like to extend a special thanks to the hotel's reservations department for taking care of a returning guest like me by promptly upgrading our room, which made our trip incredibly comfortable and enjoyable. The hotel's ski valet is a major reason why we ski here; it saves so much effort when you're tired from skiing. Last year, I remember there were enthusiastic staff members who helped with putting on and taking off ski boots; it seems that service isn't available this year. It would be even better if it were! 😄 Thank you! 🙏
GGuest UserThe room view is absolutely stunning, with a beautiful lake view! I could watch the sunrise from bed and the sunset from the balcony. It was clean and hygienic, and the service was so good I almost felt embarrassed. The bakery downstairs has amazing bread. They also offer shuttle service up and down the mountain, but make sure to book it a day in advance!
GGuest UserVery nice onsen. Big big facility with outdoor and indoor onsen baths, including sulphur, phosphate and salt baths etc. many people but we feel ok because it is big.
Location is unbeatable, next to Hell valley and just at the street with all the restaurants. Most importantly bus stops right in front of hotel, even the bus from Sapporo! Very pleased with my stay 👍🏻👍🏻
Oh the ramen shop at basement one has great spicy miso ramen and is reasonably priced. Pls try it!
GGuest UserThe price was reasonable. It's about a kilometer uphill from the main shopping street, but we drove and appreciated the parking lot. There's a pretty little waterfall behind the parking area.
Both breakfast and dinner were buffet style, and the food was just average. If you stay two nights in a row, they offer sweet shrimp on the second day.
The Japanese-style room was standard and reasonably clean.
We reserved a private onsen via email for 3300 yen. The experience was just okay, and I felt the public bath was better. With a 50-minute time limit, it felt a bit rushed.
MMCKohMy stay at Jozankei View Hotel was fantastic. The hotel has a very tranquil atmosphere, perfect for a hot spring resort. The dinner quality was a pleasant surprise; the sashimi and sweet shrimp were incredibly fresh, and the beef was delicious. For breakfast, the seafood donburi was also amazing and very satisfying. The onsen facilities were spacious and comfortable, making for a truly relaxing soak. Overall, the service, food, and environment were excellent. It was a very satisfying hot spring hotel experience and definitely worth recommending.
JJoelhoonA very comfortable stay and one I would happily return to on a future trip to Sapporo.
The room was spacious by Japanese hotel standards, well maintained, and had a grand feel without being overly luxurious. After long days of sightseeing, it was a pleasant place to return to and rest.
The location is excellent, within walking distance of Sapporo Station while still being quiet and convenient.
What really stood out was the practicality of the hotel. The airport limousine bus stops here, making arrivals and departures very easy. There are also luggage lockers available, and Yamato luggage delivery services can be arranged from the hotel.
A small tip: if you're planning to use Yamato luggage delivery, do take note of the cut-off times and delivery schedules, as they may affect your travel plans.
Overall, a comfortable, convenient, and reliable base for exploring Sapporo and the surrounding areas.
I would definitely stay here again by next week.
GGuest UserWe stayed at Rusutsu Resort Hotel & Convention and we were truly impressed.
We came for skiing, and the location is perfect — just step out of the hotel and you’re right at the ski slopes. So convenient .⛷️❄️
The room was spacious, very clean, and extremely comfortable. The snowy view from the window made the whole experience even more special.
After a full day of skiing, relaxing in the onsen was absolutely amazing. It was the perfect way to unwind and recharge. ♨️✨
The staff were friendly, polite, and very helpful. Overall, it was a comfortable and memorable stay. Definitely a place we would love to come back to again.❤️Bkk Thailand ❤️
GGuest UserI had to go to a conference, but I wanted to make some fun memories for my kids, so I stayed here with them, as it has a pool. The breakfast buffet was delicious. Two of the water slides were closed, so it seems they're only open every day on weekends this month. Even without them, we were able to play in the pool until 9:00 PM and then relax in the hot springs.
DDarrelDarrelLove it with family trip. Both meals included and spacious dining area with kids playing area. Children love it while adults are able to enjoy food and drinks.
AAnonymous UserThe hotel is built on a mountain, and trying to walk around was quite tiring.
The room was spacious, but housekeeping doesn't come daily. Currently, all of Japan is embracing eco-friendliness, so most hotels only clean every two nights, and some even every three nights.
Those who sign up for tours or activities will be picked up directly at the hotel. The hotel also offers a free shuttle to the Utoro Bus Center. If you miss the shuttle, I believe the hotel can also arrange a drop-off.
The buffet was extensive, but eating the same things every day got a bit boring. Personally, I still prefer set meals.
I tasted something sour in the chawanmushi. At first, I thought my taste buds were off, but after smelling it, I confirmed it was indeed sour and informed the staff.
The public bath has several pools. The open-air hot spring bath is a bit small, but it wasn't crowded.
