Firstly upon arrival staff friendly with a smile , did not get a name of the lady on reception ( sorry) but was welcoming and so polite towards my daughter and myself. I arrived earlier than check in , was offered luggage storage given a ticket and kept until arrived back to check in at 15:00. Had to pay a £2.40 room tax which I did not think was bad . The room was brilliant for us my only fault which couldn’t be helped was the room faced a car park which was noisy until midnight and home bargains which of course it was delivery day so early rise 05:30 for me as light sleeper. But overall can not fault the hotel . Will stay again. Easy access to Liverpool town centre 5 minute walk across road , and Liverpool central train station literally up the road.

It was lovely being in Liverpool it’s a nice place and the hotel too buh some delay on house keeping and I didn’t like where my room was located,they should give a chance of opting a preference..
Negative points from our stay
I travelled with my 11 year old grandson, I booked us a twin room, which we got. Unfortunately, the room was an adjoining room to a double and the ”activity” noises from the other room were so bad that we checked out at 11pm as I didn't want my grandson to have to experience that. It literally sounded like they were in the room with us. I would perhaps suggest that in the future you look at your guest list and unless adjoining rooms are with the same party, where children are in a twin, look to accommodate the couple in another part of the hotel where possible.
I was disappointed that we were expected to pay £5 each to use the pool as I have never stayed at an hotel where it is not included in the room price.

All the staff were really friendly and helped as much as they could. The night Duty Manager was especially helpful and empathetic to my room dilemma but was unable to find us an alternative twin room, only a double which was not appropriate for us.
We ate in the bar and the food was exceptional although a little pricey.
The location was good and the hotel was easy to find. Be careful when you leave as there are two speed bumps on the exit, and no matter how slow you are going, it feels and sounds like your cars insides are dropping out.
Rooms were spotless and beds very comfortable.
I will start my review by saying the staff were very helpful and can only work with what they have. Our check in was fine but on getting to our room it was like a fridge and the heating was very poor and even after being on for an hour or more was barely warm. We had to get a connector heater which was broken!! We had to prop it up with part of the hair dryer. The draft at the window was like a gale force wind. The room was well showing its age there was no mirror over the dressing table/desk. And the curtains were thread bare. The swimming pool was OK but the steam room and jacuzzi was not working. I was expecting a lot more from a mercury hotel. We were very disappointed.
Beautiful location, lovely hotel. Staff were helpul and friendly. Nothing was too much of a trouble. Quiet and relaxing atmosphere. The spa is amazing and the treatments were reasonably priced. Food was very good. Would reccommend and would stay there again!
The village Hotel in bromborough was massive, great staff and very clean. The bedroom we had was massive and had 2 double beds. Great sized bathroom.. we would definitely stay again
Locatie & parkeerplaats 🚗: Dit hotel is in een centrale locatie en kan worden bereikbaar vanaf de weg die leidt naar en uit St Helens. Er is een parkeerplaats met veel ruimtes. Het is gratis voor gasten, maar zorg ervoor dat u uw registratie met behulp van het touchscreen in de receptiezone registreert.
Kamer 🛏: De kamer was een fatsoenlijke grootte en had thee- en koffiefaciliteiten. Het bed is comfortabel, hoewel de kousen voor mij een beetje zacht waren.
De airconditioning werkte echt goed, wat altijd een positieve ❄️ is.
De kamer had alles wat je verwachtte: TV, koelkast, kluisje, ijzer, enz.
De kamer was stil en ik hoorde geen geluid van buiten.
Restaurant 🍽: Ik heb alleen toegang tot het restaurant voor ontbijt, dat een buffet was met warme en koude keuzes.Niet de meest uitgebreide menuopties, maar het warme eten was zeer goed gekookt, warm en vers en als je graag een gekookt ontbijt verdient het te betalen.
Wanneer je verblijft bij The Warwick Southport in Southport, bevind je je vlak bij Floral Hall en Southport Theatre. Dit pension ligt op 0,4 km van Lord Street en op 0,4 km van Genting Casino Southport.
Duik in één van de 2 binnenzwembaden of geniet van andere recreatieve voorzieningen zoals een healthclub en een sauna. Andere kenmerken van dit pension zijn gratis wifi, een gemeenschappelijke woonkamer en een picknickplaats.
Dagelijks kun je tegen betaling genieten van een lekker uitgebreid ontbijt, dat geserveerd wordt van 08.00 uur tot 09.00 uur.
De receptie is tijdens beperkte uren geopend. Ter plaatse heb je gratis parkeerplaatsen.

De aparte privébadkamers zijn uitgerust met gratis toiletartikelen en haardrogers. Bij de voorzieningen horen een koffiezetapparaat/waterkoker en gratis mineraalwater en de kamers worden op verzoek schoongemaakt.

Location & car park 🚗: This hotel is in a central location and can be accessed from the road that leads in and out of St Helens. There is a car park with lots of spaces. It is free for guests but make sure you register your registration using the touchscreen in the reception area. Room 🛏: The room was a decent size and had tea and coffee making facilities. The bed is comfortable although the pillows were a bit soft for me. The air conditioning worked really well which is always a positive ❄️. The room had everything you'd expect: TV, fridge, safe, iron etc. The room was totally silent and I couldn't hear any noise from outside. Restaurant 🍽: I only accessed the restaurant for breakfast which was a buffet with hot and cold choices. Not the most extensive menu options but the hot food was cooked very well, was warm and fresh and if you like a cooked breakfast is worth paying for.
I had a one night stay at Hanover Street L1 last night 27.5 and it was mostly really good - the room, cleanliness and breakfast and this made up for the problem I had using the swimming pool. I had booked this hotel because it has a pool but hadn't realised it was half term. Consequently, the pool was full of children the whole time I was there. I was only able to access the sauna and this is when I heard some kids laughing about making Sea Gas...a competition about who could fart most whilst underwater. Although I can see the humour in this, I did feel really disgusted and this confirmed that I could not use the pool at all, as well as the fact that it was constantly very loud and with no space to swim. This lack of access will very much affect my future plans to stay there, even if it were school term time, I wouldn't come there on a weekend for this reason.
Beautiful hotel lobby with historic yet modern furnishings in rooms. Food in palm court was good. Soap dispensers need to be improved as they get stuck easily.
