Ik kom voor werk naar KK, een eenvoudig hotel met een goed ontbijt, qua prijs zou ik zeggen. Gelegen vlakbij het stadscentrum, met restaurants in de buurt, maar voornamelijk westerse gerechten plus KFC en Bask Bear. Oud hotel, verwacht niet veel van het meubilair in de kamer, maar ik denk dat dat prima is zolang het goed onderhouden is. Alleen de douche heeft geen douchekop. Pardon my English, bedankt.

Het hotel ligt midden in de drukke wijk van het stadscentrum. Alles is dichtbij. Het ligt ook aan de kust, vol met toeristische plekken. De kamer is zeer schoon. De medewerkers zijn allemaal vriendelijk en het eten is zo goed. Ik heb genoten van mijn verblijf in dit hotel en ik zou iedereen aanraden dit hotel te proberen als je naar Kota Kinabalu komt.

I expected a great hotel stay and they delivered. All the staff were lovely. Thank you for that. My only issue is the lack of room information regarding what is available in the hotel. Normally I would expect marketing information and menus for restarunt and bar in the room. The TV does give room service menu but was not required. Fortunately we found Ben, the Concierge in the lobby who very kindly explained what we asked, and provided a map for the area. Very welcome. Thank you very much.

I booked this hotel for one night. The location is not very convenient as there aren’t many food options nearby, but it is quite close to the airport. Due to our flight timing, we arrived at the hotel earlier than usual. We understood the official check-in time, so we politely asked if there was any chance of checking in earlier. If not, we were willing to wait, we only hoped they could let us know once a room became available. There were two counters. We were initially at the second counter (one next away from the 1st counter), but the receptionist asked my husband to move to the first one. No issue, we moved over as instructed. During the check-in process, the male receptionist repeatedly asked whether I booked online. I answered yes, yet he asked the same question again. Since he already had my IC in his hand, I expected he could see the booking details in the system. I honestly didn’t understand why he kept repeating the same question. I then politely asked if we could get a room earlier should there be any available. Instead of responding in a friendly or helpful manner, he kept repeating, “Our check-in time is 2pm,” more than three times over our check-in process. We clearly understood the check-in time, but his tone and attitude were not friendly at all. A simple “If we have a room available, we’ll try to arrange it for you” would have been enough, but instead he just repeated the same answer without any consideration. On top of that, both receptionists, the male and the female were chatting and laughing among themselves at the counter in front of guests, which felt quite unprofessional. Still, we were thankful that we eventually managed to get our room at 12:35pm. Overall, the experience was disappointing and lacked basic hospitality. I’ve been travelling and staying in different hotels, and I’ve never encountered service this unfriendly before.

Uitchecken bij The Palace Hotel KK en inchecken hier bij Ming Garden Hotel KK, Nou, Ming Garden is buiten onze verwachtingen, ik hou niet van kamer 923, geen uitzicht en privacy, zodra je de deur opent, zal deze direct naar ons bed wijzen , de netheid is niet gehandhaafd, er zit stof op de glazen lade, föhn werkt niet, tv geen kanaal en het is geen smart tv die u kunt verbinden met internet als er geen kanalen zijn, geen gezichtshanddoek, geen tapijt, slechts één handdoek voorzien voor de Deluxe Kamer met Kingsize Bed en u dient opnieuw een handdoek aan te vragen. Als je een auto hebt, is slechts één keer toegang gratis, voor de t****e keer moet je RM 5 betalen. Het ontbijt is zo, niet veel variatie, ze vullen de sappen nooit bij, ook al is het pas om 8.30 uur, maar het ontbijt is tot 10.00 uur . De netheid van het restaurant is ook twijfelachtig. Andere budgethotels zijn meer de moeite waard om te verblijven.

Although theree was an error on the booking system at my side...but they solve the problem easily by giving me a room with seaview..(seems to be an upgrade to me) the room is clean and the cleaner did their job really well too by adding more towel rather than change my towel...for the breakfast it's good, though the only problem is their drinks is bland...thats all

I had a wonderful stay at Cititel Express Kota Kinabalu. The room was clean, nicely designed, and very comfortable, making it easy to relax after a day out. Breakfast was perfect—delicious and satisfying, with a good variety to start the morning right. The location is excellent, right in town with easy access to shops, restaurants, and attractions. Overall, it’s truly great value for money. I would happily recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a convenient and comfortable stay in Kota Kinabalu.

It was my first time to stay at Kota Kinabalu Marriott. The overall stay was amazing! Fast check in/out. Spotless clean, spacious rooms and modern. Great hotel amenities. Memorable sunset view from the rooftop while drinking cocktails and infinity pool. The staff were kind and helpful. The breakfast was super delicious with wide varieties of choices from local to western cuisine. The view of the sea and the island from the balcony were absolutely great! It's located in the centre and nearby supermarkets, restaurants, old town, night markets, malls, money exchange centre and many more. Walking distance too to everything. I will definitely Comaback here again.

Het is een hotel met een gevoel van leeftijd. Hoewel de faciliteiten de tand des tijds vertonen, zijn ze netjes en comfortabel. De obers in de lobby zijn allemaal beleefd en glimlachend. De kamers zijn zeer schoon en netjes, maar de douchekop is een beetje kapot en de huishouding heeft het niet opgemerkt. U kunt vanuit het hotel naar de zonsondergang kijken en bij het zwembad zitten. Kinderen houden van zwemmen en spelen. Het is slechts 10 minuten rijden naar bekende internetrestaurants of grote winkelcentra in de omgeving. De Durian-straat onder de brug ligt er pal naast.  Over het geheel genomen is de prijs-winverhouding hoog
