Een van de beste plekken tijdens onze weeklange reis door Centraal-Sri Lanka. Ik wou dat ik langer dan een dag was gebleven, gewoon om te relaxen bij het zwembad met uitzicht op de bergen.
De kamer was erg ruim, met twee grote bedden met klamboes, warm water, een waterkoker en thee. Er was geen kluis of tv, maar wat maakt het uit? Het terras was groot en het uitzicht op de bergen was adembenemend. Het zwembad was fijn en het personeel was attent. Het ontbijt vond ik echter minder; hoewel het een buffet was, was er niet veel om uit te kiezen. Ik had liever een gewoon Engels ontbijt gehad. De locatie is eigenlijk goed; het is gemakkelijk om naar het centrum te lopen over de spoorlijn. We verdwaalden echter op de terugweg in het donker; de kaarten waren niet erg nauwkeurig, maar overdag is alles gemakkelijk te vinden.

Alle personeelsleden waren zeer vriendelijk en hebben een leuke tijd doorgebracht.
Ik heb ontbijt en diner gegeten, alles is lekker en ik kan Sri Lanka eten.
Tijdens het ontbijt sprak de manager met mij en stuurde hij een gelukkige gast van het hotel.
Ik wil het nog een keer gebruiken.

We stayed here for one night and it was very pleasant! The hostess and all the hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. There is parking, but parking is very difficult. The slope is steep. There is no air conditioning in the room.

Great hotel, with unbeatable view of Ella rock on the balcony. However the room did not have universal plug sockets, the hotel provided a hairdryer but did not fit the plug socket. It is also very difficult to get to with suitcases. Fine if you’re backpacking, but carrying suitcases up the massive hill is very difficult. Perhaps the hotel should look into purchasing their own tuktuk to ferry customers up and down the hill. Not everyone is a backpacker!

Отель подойдёт тем, кто планирует целыми дня отсутствовать, посещая достопримечательности Эллы и возвращаясь сразу ложиться спать. Я брал обычный номер (кровать, небольшой «стол», стул, тумбочка, душ/туалет. Для меня комната очень маленькая и в кровать я не вмещался (рост 190см).
Но мне очень понравилось гостеприимство хозяина отеля и его друга, они очень дружелюбные и старались создать максимальный комфорт! Есть просторная веранда на первом этаже, где можно скоротать вечер или поработать в ноутбуке. Завтраки вкусные и сбалансированные, что мне тоже очень понравилось, также несколько раз ужинал здесь же - всё понравилось, вкусно!

我們訂的行政別墅，樓下一個大床，樓上兩個略小床墊。電動窗簾拉開就是幾乎全景玻璃陽台，可以看到外麪茶山。還能看到三孔橋和路過火車。
mini bar裏面給了幾十包茶包，都是免費，四瓶玻璃瓶水也是免費，酒和飲品收費。
游泳池很好看很出片，像無邊泳池。
一定要選帶晚餐的，晚餐是點菜式五道式，非常可口，也很特別，不含飲料。早餐也有一個很特別的脆皮蛋包，通往餐廳的路上能拍到很美的照片。
唯一就是蚊蟲比較多，整個行程唯一的兩個包就是在這裏晚上睡覺時候被咬的

GGuest UserHeaven on earth! Absolutely spoiled every morning with breakfast on their rooftop overlooking the famous Ella Rock. Possibly the best bedroom view I’ve ever seen. We travelled in April which is notoriously muggy and hot, but the electric fans are very powerful and kept us nice and cool in the evenings, they even have a sleep setting on them!
Couldn’t have asked for much more. 5 min TukTuk to and from town (500sr or £1.50). Or a peaceful 10 minute walk.

AAkinoriThe female owner's hospitality was excellent, and we had a wonderful stay. She gave us information about local sightseeing spots, and when we told her we were going to Kandy next, she also shared some of the highlights there, making this a fond memory of our trip to Sri Lanka.
We got caught in the rain while sightseeing in Ella, and when we arrived at the inn soaking wet, the warm Ceylon tea she had prepared for us was delicious and comforting. It was a perfect stay without any complaints, and we'll come again.

TtorinessKeeping in mind this is a 3 star hotel, the positives are the rooms are big with a balcony looking out at amazing views (ours anyway), and the pool is clean and quite big also with amazing views and a concrete elephant water feature!!! The location of the hotel is pretty good too - far enough from other properties to be quiet but close enough to Ella main drag that you can walk in 10-15 minutes or pay a tuk tuk driver double the rate of Colombo to get to and from. The big negative for us was that despite being told upon checking in that the room would be cleaned every day, it was not. And I was told the reason why was that we didn’t hand in our key for it to be done - which seems bizarre after staying in hotels for decades and not being told to or having to hand in a key in order to get a standard daily room clean. The insinuation that it was our fault for not handing in a key (not that we were told to do so on checking in) was extremely irritating. Food was ok but overpriced so we ate elsewhere (lots of options). There were lots of little things in the rooms that could be easily addressed to make them nicer - definitely not having ripped old bath towels, and removing an empty TV bracket from the wall (like a TV used to be there but not anymore - or was it just our room, who knows). All these little things add up to I really think the room rate is too high - but we are here in the high season so maybe that’s just the going rate.

GGuest UserThe hotel is on the hillside, with a good mountain view, the room bathroom is super large, the only room that is not damp in the 20 days of living in Sri Lanka, if there is air conditioning, it will be perfect.
 It is more than 20 minutes' drive from Ella Town.  Ella is mostly sloped . It is basically a curved path to various hotels and homestays. It is very suitable for  people who want to be quarantined for a few days to live for a few days. I especially want to praise their service team. A few simple warm and friendly local boys, they really want to be good to every guest staying, thank you for the delicious breakfast.

GGuest UserAlthough the location is a little inaccessible, that’s how the beautiful view of train coming out from tunnel can be seen. And the inaccessible location is overly compensated by the service, there is TukTuk to fetch you from Ella Town or Ella station when you arrive. During your stay, they fetched us back from Ella town after dinner around 9pm to the accommodation for the convenience. Also upon check out, they sent us back to Ella station. So, you can to enjoy the view in absolute nature without compromising the convenience. Absolutely love the place. Just walking distance to 9 Arch.

JJimmysandwichesWe had a lovely stay at Ella Rawana Den Hotel in Ella. The location is excellent — just a short walk to town, making it very convenient for restaurants, cafes and exploring the area. One of the highlights was the beautiful balcony view overlooking the lush green hills. It was the perfect place to relax in the morning or evening.
The room was big, clean and comfortable, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming throughout our stay.
However, it’s important for older guests or anyone with mobility issues to know that the hotel is located up a very steep hill. Cars and tuk-tuks cannot access the property directly, so you need to walk up, which can be challenging — especially with heavy luggage. Because of this, it may not be suitable for elderly or disabled travellers.
One small improvement would be for the hotel to provide a hairdryer in the rooms, as this would be very helpful for female guests.
Overall, a great stay with beautiful views and kind staff — just be prepared for the steep climb!
