It was great experience to stay at Mungyeong Stay 201 Hotel. Parking place is bit narrow and hard to park my car, however, I’ve enjoyed the facilities and great service provided by reception staffs. Thanks!

This hotel is very clean and convenient to stay. It has very nice view of a beautiful lake where many birds are playing and close to Andong Hahoe Folk Village which is one of the must-see attraction in Andong.

Ik bezocht na het maken van een reservering voor 3 dagen en 2 nachten inclusief ontbijt.
De dag dat we gingen was voordat het regende, dus konden we het zwembad van het hotel gebruiken?
Ik heb er veel over nagedacht, maar het was leuk om in het water te spelen, en omdat er geen mensen waren, kon ik er breed gebruik van maken!
Het ontbijt was heerlijk en ik heb er echt van genoten!
De Koreaanse voedsellijn is redelijk goed, dus ik denk dat het een goede plek is om als gezin met ouders en kinderen te komen.
De netheid van de kamer was goed, maar ik gaf het een 4,0 vanwege de leeftijd.
Verder was het echt comfortabel en schoon in gebruik :)

The hotel staff are v friendly and helpful. The breakfast options are superb. Hotel is also v spacious and my room view is amazing. It's on 10min walk to gyeongju world.
I will definitely come back again if I can.

Het ligt dicht bij de Haeinsa-tempel en ligt in de bergen, dus het landschap is prachtig. Ik raad vooral een kamer aan met uitzicht op de zonsopgang. Het uitzicht op de zonsopgang vanuit de kamer is spectaculair.
Het saunawater is ook goed, dus ik raad het ten zeerste aan. Ik stelde veel vragen, maar ze waren erg vriendelijk en dat gaf mij een goed gevoel.

Dit is het favoriete hotel van onze familie.
Ik gebruik deze plek altijd als ik naar Gyeongju kom, en de omgeving en de kameromstandigheden geven me gemoedsrust elke keer dat ik blijf.
Het hotelpersoneel is allemaal vriendelijk en het zwembad is niet druk en ideaal om met kinderen te zwemmen.
Ook de plek op de eerste verdieping waar je boeken kunt lezen en thee kunt drinken is uniek en leuk.
Er zijn niet veel buurtwinkels, entertainmentfaciliteiten, enz. zoals resorts in het hotel, maar het is niet druk.
Dit is een plek die ik zou willen aanbevelen en die de standaard van een hotel laat zien voor gezinnen die comfort nastreven in plaats van luxe.

SstanloonaAn amazing once-in-a-lifetime hanok experience!! The place was absolutely beautiful, and our host was the kindest person ever. Their service was amazing, even providing us with a bottle of wine, and free breakfast even though it originally didn’t come with our booking. We visited Gyeongju for 3 nights during the windy winter of February, so some of the pros & cons may not be applicable for other seasons:
Pros:
- Amazing location: right in the heart of Gyeongju’s trendy hanok district, it is a few minutes walk from Hwangnidan-Gil street, Cheonmachong etc. Despite this district being absolutely PACKED in the weekend, our hanok was tucked in a more cozy, quiet corner, above a restaurant. It was then really quiet in our hanok, and we surprisingly didn’t have any problem of smells from the restaurant downstairs coming up into our rooms.
- Clean aesthetic that perfectly balances the vibes of a traditional hanok, and a modern hotel. Suitable for those travelling with older families, for example, who may not be able to sleep comfortably on hard floors. The interior designer for this hanok deserves a raise
- Floor heating was done well, and we didn’t feel cold at all despite the winds at night during our winter stay
- gigantic TV
- host was very kind and easy to communicate with via WhatsApp!
- appreciated that the toilet and shower were very clean and modern as well!
Cons:
- there weren’t any wardrobes, and not many hangers were provided to hang your clothes. It’s only a minor issue, since we had more coats for our winter wear. However, since most people are booking this hanok for short stays, it shouldnt be a big issue either
- as we came here via car at night, the parking lot assigned to us was a ~2min walk away from the actual hanok, so it was a bit confusing to locate the parking lot and hanok in the dark at first.
- at night, the winds in the winter get quite strong, and so like any wooden house - there will naturally be quite a bit of sound like the wooden door shaking, sound of wind etc. Coming from the city, we were a bit scared and thought there were intruders at first LOL. This isn’t a big problem (especially during less windy seasons), but I think it’s just worth keeping in mind, especially if you are very sensitive to sounds when sleeping.
If these cons aren’t applicable or big issues for you, then yes I would more than recommend this hanok stay!!! It’s a rare experience, and hence worth the money imho!

GGuest UserThis is one of the two accommodations that I was satisfied with during my 5-night, 6-day trip.
First of all, the location is good because it is in Andong City, and it was especially good for ordering delivery food.
When traveling with a family of 4, we put two beds together and blocked the chairs or tables outside to prevent the children from falling out of the bed, and we were satisfied with the two very large mattresses that were attached.
I would visit again when I visit Andong.

AAnonymous UserIts a pity that the upper floor rooms got occupied so we were assigned to lower floor and the room was facing n pretty close to a construction next to the hotel and so we were worrying abt the dust and noise and a bit disappointed with the ‘seaview’ outside the terrace… luckily the front desk lady offered us another room on the same floor facing the carpark instead so the sea is really just one car away and it feels so much better :] she even offer us to check the rooftop family that comes with jacuzzi but we didnt bring out swimsuits so its out of our consideration.
The room is huge and the view is superb, except 1. it d be better if theres a door/curtain for the toilet/bathroom area for privacy and also noise isolation; 2. The fridge and rubbish bin are a bit too small for a family-sized guests; 3. Lacking racks/hooks to hang clothes and towels when u shower, a bit inconvenient…
However everything else is awesome, they hv clothing disinfectant machine provided in the room, a giant size tv which is good for family, amenity kits come with most of the things u need including facial cleanser/toner/moisturiser. Theres a coffee machine and ice making machine at the lobby so u can het ur everyday coffee free. Also the public terrace on 10/f is super nice n chill with the sea view, its both nice both day n night, highly recommend!
There are tons of restaurants mostly grilled meat/seafood dishes in the neighbourhood as its right next to the famous beach where ppl comes here for the yeonglidae pavillion, which looks nice at night! Space walk is also nearby. The locals all do their morning exercise walk by strolling along the seashore bare feet! Theres a shoe rack storage and feet washing facilities provided so u can come enjoy bare-foot walking in empty hands and leave clean and dry!
Its a nice stay and i would recommend to others!

Inside the room, the bed was a mattress type, but it was comfortable. However, the floor heater seemed a bit too hot.
The bathroom had separate wet and dry zones, which was very good.

The staff was polite and the check-in and check-out process was straightforward. While nothing stood out in particular, everything worked as expected. Location was generally good, close by to main shopping area, easy to get on buses and/or to call for uber.
We really loved the breakfast that was included as well as free noodles being provided (cooked in a bowl). Water, coffee and teas was provided throughout the day (pantry and a separate cafe that was right beside the main entrance). There was even washer/dryer, laundry pods to purchase from them also available however we can’t comment much because we didn’t use them.
Service was a hit/miss. Was greeted enthusiastically by an older gentleman, explained everything well and was very willing to share nearby eats and things to do. However, while I tried to use delivery app (that they advertised in the room, even for international travellers), the young man was not very proactive to solve our problem (unable to input Singapore number). However overall their service I will say is still very polite.
Room is generally clean. However as my legs are more sensitive to bedding’s fabrics, I could feel “things” on my legs that was in contact with the beddings. That being said, we didn’t experience any skin reaction or bites.
To add on, they had self service luggage locker outside of their entrance where we stored our luggage after checking out. However, to note that there is limited number of locker so would advise to store earlier in case it’s fully used.
Would definitely come back here next time!

GGuest UserI had such a wonderful stay at this hanok-style hotel that I’m already dreaming of coming back. From the moment I arrived, everything felt calm, welcoming and thoughtfully prepared. The traditional architecture, the soft lights in the courtyard at night and the view over the tiled rooftops created a very special atmosphere that you just don’t get in a “normal” hotel.
My room was cozy, bright and spotlessly clean. I especially loved the little wooden platform by the window with the cushions – it became my favorite spot to sit with a book, drink a coffee and look out over the rooftops and mountains. Waking up to that view in the morning and seeing the same roofs softly lit at night made my stay feel almost magical.
The staff were incredibly kind and attentive. You can feel that they really care about their guests and about sharing Korean culture. The small details, like the beautiful traditional bookmark as a gift, made me feel genuinely appreciated and added a personal touch I will not forget.
Overall, this stay was one of the highlights of my trip. If you are looking for a place that combines comfort, authenticity and a peaceful atmosphere in the middle of a hanok neighborhood, I can only highly recommend this hotel. I would definitely love to stay here again.

It's a bit out of town, but main attractions easily accessible with a car.
Check-in was a bit difficult as we had no Korean number and communication was only possible in Korean. In the end a friendly worker helped us by calling the owner. Thanks again for his help.

MmaggieyuFirst off, the front desk staff couldn't speak English, which made communication really difficult. If they can't speak English, why are they hosting international guests? It's inconvenient for everyone. Also, all the power outlets in the room were Korean standard. When I asked the hotel for a universal adapter, I had to pay a 10,000 won deposit. Plus, the light by the room entrance is a motion sensor, so it automatically turns on if you get up in the middle of the night to use the restroom, and the toilet flushing sound is very loud. When I checked out around 7 AM, the hallway outside was completely dark. There were no coffee or tea bags provided. Other than that, it was okay; the cleanliness was pretty good.

GGuest UserThe hotel is located outside the city; the nearest bus stops are 1.7 km away. A car is essential if you're traveling with children. Otherwise, the hotel itself is very clean, the rooms are spacious, and it has a spa and pool – ideal for family holidays. The location is also very quiet, with plenty of countryside. The owner is incredibly kind and friendly.
