The stay at Vantalya Otel in Van was great. I had the warmest welcome which immediately made me feel at home. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and speaks English very well. The room is spacious and clean with a hot shower and well working airconditioner. Also breakfast is good and there’s a great variety to choose from. And the location of the hotel is right in the middle of the center, making it a good spot to explore Van.

Het introduceerde de functies van het hotel en de ontbijtruimte was ook perfect was schoon en comfortabel. Het enige nadeel van het hotel is dat het niet ver van het meer ligt. Het zou perfect zijn als het hotel een veilige doorgang naar het meer heeft.
The hotel is perfectly located and within walking distance of center town shops and restaurants. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I would definitely return.
The clerks are very heartwarming. They answered all my questions for traveling and gave me some advice in English. The last day after checking out, the clerk even led me to the minibus station, telling me how to go to the Van Castle.
The breakfast they offers is traditional Turkish breakfast.
While the sound insulation effect of the room is very bad. Every night I will wake up because of the noise outside. If you are not strict with the sound, I strongly advice you to book this hotel.
Overall, the room was clean and well-equipped with both central heating and an individual air conditioner. However, the staff were often unfriendly and seemed busy, frequently stepping outside to smoke, especially in the morning. Most of them also did not speak English.
The hotel is quite isolated. While it has lake view, the view wasn't as appealing as I had hoped. There are only one or two expensive restaurants nearby, and they are not easy to walk to due to the lack of a proper path. The fact that you never see anyone walking in the area says it all.
A major drawback was the lack of helpful information. The staff could not provide any details on public transport or long-distance bus schedules; their only suggestion was to take a taxi and go to the station and buy a ticket. I managed to get information for the local 102 bus purely by luck. Fortunately, I arrived early for the bus to Doğubeyazıt, which has a fixed schedule. If I had arrived after 9, I will have to wait for three hours.
Other issues included an ATM they recommended initially that had no English language option, and an average breakfast that consisted of 90% cold dishes. If you go before 8 AM, there is no one ready to assist you.
Verdict: Stay here only if you are driving and are primarily looking for a clean room in good condition.

GGuest UserThis hotel looked like it needs some refurbishing but it does have a strong point in that it right on Lake Van. I had a few issues during my stay but were resolved immediately. The room I was first given smelled of drainage pipes so they immediately gave me another. In the evening, I realised my hair dryer was broken. They immediately sent someone to fix it. The next day, the water from my toilet no longer worked. They sent someone to fix it immediately while I had breakfast. They are very quick to solve any problems. I loved the breakfast, so much variety. And I am grateful that they let me have my room a bit earlier which many hotel won’t even if they could. The staff are great.
GGuest UserWhile travelling back to the UK, I had to stay one night in Van, Turkey to catch an early flight the next morning. I was very lucky to find this wonderful hotel in Van city. The hotel was very clean, warm, and comfortable, which was exactly what I needed after a long journey.
A special thank you to Sarhaad, the receptionist/manager. He was an extremely kind and welcoming gentleman. His English was excellent, and he was always happy to help with anything I needed. It made my stay much easier and more pleasant.
The price was also very fair, and the hotel itself was spotless. One thing that really stood out to me was the elevator – it had a beautiful design with cultural decoration, which made the place feel unique and memorable.
I truly enjoyed my stay there and was able to rest and recharge for my journey the next day. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting or passing through Van .
CCynthia991The hotel room showed the sign of age but it was still clean. I was happy to have offered an upgrade of room with good view of the Van lake. Unfortunately, I couldn’t sleep well because the centralised air conditioning system made me sweat throughout the night. The room was so hot! Staff were helpful and polite. Breakfast offered many choices of food. We also dined in the restaurant. Staff were friendly and helpful and the food was average.
RReza RezaeipourI've been there with my wife for 4 nights. The room was tidy and clean. The towels and blankets were perfectly clean too. The bathroom was spotless, but the shower cabin needs to be renovated I guess.
There were Persian-speaking reception that could be so helpful for Iranian. They were so polite and welcoming, especially Mahan.
They have a Persian nightclub there. I didn't go, but I guess it's cool.
Location is so close to the Chumhuriat street. There are almost some shops and supermarkets like A101. Breakfast is not wow, but fine, with various jams, butters, cheeses, eggs, and such. Restaurant staff are really welcoming.
Overall it is worth it.

The only thing that is misleading is they do NOT have 3 single beds yet trip.com stated there were and so I selected this hotel because of the triple beds. Upon check-in they gave us one queen bed and one single bed and when I asked them they said they do NOT have such category of room...so I told them to update in trip.com so that it won't mislead us.

GGuest UserLocation definitely worth to choose this hotel you can walk modt of everywhere in central area very close by to airport and intercity bus station.
Housekeeping needs bit more paying attention to not to creating issues on stay.
