"This is the best hotel before or after your Machu Picchu experience! Not only they offered to pick us up at the train station (although it's very close walking distance), they also offered to send our luggages to the train station on our way out upon check out so we could enjoy Aguas Calientes activities without dragging around our luggages. Everyone working there was exceptionally kind, and answered our questions and requests very promptly. We so appreciated our lovely welcome plate left in the room, too! Breakfast (included) was amazing as well. The building is right by the river, and we enjoyed the view as well as the sound of the river flow from our room. Highly recommended! We would totally go back to this hotel and stay again next time."

"The photos don't do justice to the place! The hotel is fantastic--the location is close enough to the attractions but just outside of the main tourist area since it's up on the hillside, so it's the perfect combination of convenience and relaxation. The check-in process was so welcoming, we felt at home as soon as stepping into the hotel's courtyard. The views from the hotel were unbelievable; the breakfast was great; the rooms were very clean and has all the comforts you'd need. And don't miss the llamas in the backyard! The restaurant staff didn't seem very experienced but it was sufficient."

"We had a wonderful stay at Hampton Hotel in Cusco. The staff were very friendly and hospitable, making us feel welcome throughout our stay. A special mention to Wilma, who went the extra mile to accommodate our request to change to a room with a queen bed instead of two standard beds—her helpfulness made a big difference. The rooms are new, clean, and comfortable with fresh bedding, and the breakfast was very good. Overall, an excellent experience and I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Cusco."

"Excellent quality with such cheap price. But you have to aware that satffs might unable to speak English but only Spanish. But never mind, we use google translate and everything is fine. Rooms are clean and facilities are in good condition. Not close to Main Square, need to walk about 20 minutes. But still it is value for price. Suitable for those who just need a clean bed and a clean washroom and nothing else."

"If you stay at this hotel, absolutely make sure you don't get a room with an interior-facing window (one that doesn't connect to the outside). Otherwise, it will be incredibly stuffy, making it impossible to breathe properly and sleep. Don't even count on the air conditioning; it's completely broken. Before, I closed the interior window because I was afraid of noise, but I couldn't sleep at all and found myself struggling to breathe. Only after opening the interior window did a little air come in, and I was able to manage some sleep. The soundproofing of the door isn't great. During breakfast hours, they play music, and you can hear it clearly through the door. The interior-facing windows are directly above the breakfast area. See the picture. Another very unpleasant thing happened: I returned to the hotel at 10:40 PM and found the main entrance locked, all doors were locked. I frantically knocked on the main door. Luckily, there was still a guy at the front desk on duty, otherwise, I wouldn't have been able to get back in. I've included a picture to prove this point. The front desk staff's English is just so-so. Also, I was mistaken for Japanese again and given a registration slip in Japanese. I asked if they had slips in other languages, and they said yes. But even after seeing my passport, they still gave me the Japanese one. I don't even know what to say. Then they were all smiley and playful, I don't know if they were joking with me or what. Anyway, I can read Japanese, and it was all Chinese characters, so I just filled it out. The breakfast was just okay. All these *** Western country breakfasts are pretty much the same; only a few dishes offer some variety or are particularly tasty. The best thing at this hotel's breakfast was the ham. About a 30-second walk from the hotel, there's an intersection with a lot of trash and many stray dogs eating from it. Since there are many tourists, these stray dogs are used to seeing them and generally won't bother you. However, for safety, I still kept my distance from them."
