A wonderful stay at the Perhentian Islands and the Marriott Hotel. Service: Every staff member I encountered consistently offered service with a smile, answering questions gently and patiently. This is likely due to the hotel's training and service standards. However, Perhentian Island mostly caters to European and American tourists, with Chinese visitors being a minority, so I didn't encounter any staff who spoke Chinese. Environment: The environment was absolutely stunning. After boating around most of Perhentian Island, this hotel's environment stood out as the best. If you find a good price, just book it without hesitation. Ctrip users might be assigned rooms further away; I was placed in the furthest corner, but it conveniently happened to be the closest to the entrance of Romantic Beach. I snorkeled at the beach for three days; the sand was beautiful, and under the afternoon sun, the water was a stunning Tiffany blue. However, don't go too late, as the water started to get a bit cloudy after 5 PM. The sand was soft, and there weren't many people. Compared to other public beaches, this one was very clean and well-maintained by Marriott, unlike other beaches that had debris. Snorkeling revealed many fish, and sometimes even some colorful large fish. The best spot was on the left side facing the sea, near the rocks, where you could see colorful, live coral. Facilities: Kids can play and do crafts at the kids' club during their free time, with a free 3-hour supervision. Several attendants looked after the children there. We went three times in two days. Because our ferry was at 4 PM, we played for a bit at 3 PM while waiting for the ferry, and the attendants even gave the children two small sea turtle toys! Additionally, if you have an afternoon ferry, you can still snorkel or swim after checking out, as there are changing facilities by the pool. Suggestions: The beach can provide life jackets, masks, etc., but the pool doesn't have swimming rings or kickboards. It would be better if, like other hotels, they offered some water toys for children. I also observed that none of the pools had lifeguards, nor did the beach, so parents should be vigilant.

The beach was pristine, perfect for lounging, daydreaming, and just unwinding. Breakfast was lavish, and the service was excellent. We booked a quad room, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The room itself was spacious, with ceilings reaching up to 4 meters high. Traveling as a family of four, my 1.83m tall older son had his own bed, while my 1.43m tall younger son slept in a room that felt like a tatami mat. My husband and I shared a bed. The toiletries were a full set of L'Occitane. Since we were traveling independently, I was worried about getting overcharged for taxis and boats. However, using Grab for taxis was incredibly convenient. It cost less than 100 RMB from the airport to Merang Jetty. We also added the hotel's WeChat and booked a speedboat in advance, which was 77 RMB for adults and 55 RMB (MB) for children. On our return, we had a flight departing from Kuala Terengganu at 11:30 AM. To get off the island, we first needed to take a speedboat from Laguna Jetty, which takes 45-60 minutes, and then a Grab taxi to the airport, another 45-60 minutes. The earliest boat was at 9 AM, making the flight very tight. Chartering a boat would have cost 800-900 MYR, which I found too expensive. I decided to take a chance, figuring I could rebook if absolutely necessary since I had travel insurance. Unexpectedly, the hotel staff proactively found us a 7:30 AM boat. The staff even escorted us all the way onto the boat before leaving, which I found incredibly touching. The service was truly outstanding! I absolutely have to give them a great review!

I went here for a convention and I stayed for 2 days and 3 nights. The room is very spacious and clean. A big plus for me is that the rooms have no carpet. Affordable and fast room service. Easy checkin and checkout. The only con I see is that the rooms are not that soundproof. I also tried their gymnasium, they have a cable machine, free weights, elliptical, stationary bike and treadmill. Also, another con is if you like to do your laundry in a hotel, their laundry service is sooo expensive. They charge per clothing, not per kg. But nevertheless, staying here is value for money. Its walking distance from the airport (less than 1km). But if you want to explore the city center, this place is quite far from the center.

The hotel is quite old. They should probably install a lift straight from the basement parking to the lobby. For those coming for their honeymoon, you can request this specific room. However, housekeeping was lacking,the coffee table was sticky with uncleaned coffee spills. The ironing board was super worn out and old, like no maintenance checks were done. Lucky it didn't fall on my feet!

Overall is a good place for families to relax and enjoy the nature and with lots of pets around in the compound. Rabbit, horses, ducks, sheep & etc. nice for kids to enjoy the pet feeding. Room cleanliness to be improved anyway. A little far from town and dining outside is rather troublesome. However plenty of hawkers and roadside stalls are just within walking distances if u can accept the street foods.

This hotel has an absolutely fantastic location, making it super convenient to get around. It is clearly a very popular choice, as the hotel was quite busy and full of guests during my stay. The property is newly renovated and looks good, though I did notice a few pieces of furniture showing minor signs of wear. It wasn't anything major or bothersome, however. Overall, it is a solid place to stay, primarily because of the unbeatable location and fresh updates.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this charming hotel. Its prime location made exploring the nearby attractions incredibly convenient. The accommodations were comfortable and immaculately kept. Staff members were consistently helpful and friendly throughout our visit. We highly recommend this establishment for a wonderful and accessible getaway.

This island hotel is absolutely fantastic! The moment you open the window, you're greeted with a stunning sea view, and the beach is wonderfully soft and clean. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the staff are incredibly friendly, warm, and attentive. The seafood feast was fresh and delicious, offering excellent value for money. This vacation experience was perfect, and I'll definitely be back again!

The kids are so happy that they got the chance to participate in the releasing the baby turtle. The pool is big even with a crowd from the school holiday. We didnt take the breakfast because we wanted to eat local food. The room is clean with 2 single beds. We didnt put the sign to make the room on our door but when we get back, the room is tidied.
