Het hotel ligt vlakbij het metrostation, op slechts 10-15 minuten loopafstand. Het ontbijt was eenvoudig maar heerlijk, met een selectie eenvoudige gerechten zoals eieren, champignons, spek en worst. Het hotel en het restaurant zijn ook behoorlijk innovatief. Ik heb hun pasta via de roomservice geprobeerd, die heerlijk en redelijk geprijsd was. Mocht ik ooit terugkeren naar Athene, Griekenland, dan zou dit hotel een goede keuze zijn en ik zou er zeker weer verblijven.

Verbleef in het hostel in Athene, dat zich in het City-gebied bevindt. Ontbijt werd verzorgd met geweldige koffie en brood en boter/jam, ontbijtgranen en melk. Happy hour van 19:00 tot 21:00 uur, waarbij gratis wijn wordt aangeboden en gasten elkaar kunnen ontmoeten en kunnen socializen. Een echte aanrader.

Ik en mijn vriend bleven 2 nachten.
We hebben een geweldige tijd gehad tijdens ons verblijf.
Geen geluidsoverlast.
Receptioniste zeer behulpzaam.
Badkamer was schoon en alles functioneerde goed.
Ze hebben warm water in hun “voorraadkast”.
Moest naar beneden gaan als je warm water nodig hebt of koffie wilt zetten.
Ze hebben ook een strijkkamer op niveau 2.
Kamer zeer schoon en kreeg een balkon om frisse lucht naar buiten te brengen.
Uitzicht is niet zo geweldig, maar nog steeds oké (kreeg een beetje de sfeer van Athene).

Het hele gebouw van zeven verdiepingen is een hostel. Ik ben er zelf niet geweest, maar de zevende verdieping heeft een terras!
Het gebouw en de kamer voelden meteen bij binnenkomst ongelooflijk schoon aan.
Het leek goed onderhouden.
Het is een gedeelde kamer voor 8 personen, met een toilet, badkamer en twee wastafels in elke kamer.
Er is ook een kluisje in de kamer, wat handig is.
Handdoeken worden gratis verstrekt.
De bedden waren bedekt met twee gordijnen, wat super comfortabel was!
De receptie is 24 uur per dag open en het personeel is allemaal erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam.
Het is ongeveer 20-30 minuten lopen naar de belangrijkste toeristische attracties.
Ik heb gehoord dat de locatie een beetje gevaarlijk is, maar ik ben er overdag geweest en heb geen problemen ondervonden.
Er is echter geen föhn!

Iedereen was super behulpzaam en vriendelijk, de voorzieningen waren super schoon en de sfeer was cool. Ik moet zeggen dat het een van de beste hostels is waar ik ooit heb verbleven.
Het zwembad was een geweldige bonus voor een zomerdag in Athene, ik vond het geweldig!

Ik kreeg een erg rokerige kamer. Ik moest twee dagen lang de dikke stank verdragen. De kamer was extreem donker, zonder goede verlichting. Er was een grote spiegel, maar het was moeilijk om make-up op te doen vanwege de duisternis. Het grootste nadeel was het ontbreken van een fatsoenlijk modern dekbed en dekbedovertrek. Er lag alleen een laken en een lichte sprei bovenop – volkomen onhygiënisch. En in de kast lag een winterdeken – een oude, dikke, kriebelende en ruige. Die verkopen ze niet eens meer!
Maar het ontbijt was goed, alles was aanwezig! En er waren twee metrostations in de buurt. De kamer werd zorgvuldig schoongemaakt. De rooftopbar had een geweldig uitzicht op de Akropolis. Over het algemeen was de prijs-kwaliteitverhouding redelijk.

De locatie is geweldig. Er zijn twee tankstations naast de deur, wat betekent dat het erg handig is om eten te kopen. Het ligt dicht bij de metro, maar om veiligheidsredenen loop ik meestal of neem ik een taxi. Het is een handige wandeling van 10 minuten naar het Akropolismuseum. Het is ook dicht bij het Plein van de Grondwet. De Tempel van Zeus ligt tegenover het hotel. Het enige nadeel is dat de ingang lastig te vinden is. Ik ging eerst naar het museum ernaast.

Locatie dicht bij alles, alleen de straat die er aan ligt ziet er oud uit en sommige mensen worden misschien afgeschrikt. We voelden ons veilig als we door deze straat liepen. Dingen erg behulpzaam, vooral een jongedame deed haar best om te helpen, inclusief het boeken van een taxi voor ons voor 02.30 uur. Bedankt, jonge blonde dame, ik heb je naam niet begrepen. Het lezen van sommige beoordelingen is slecht, maar we hadden hier de beste ervaring.

Ik zie dat er heel weinig beoordelingen zijn van Chinese mensen. Ik ben net op de t****e dag teruggekomen naar China, dus ik zou het graag willen beoordelen. Over het algemeen is het goed! Ik was alleen op zakenreis. De kamer was niet groot, maar de hygiëne was OK. Het bed is erg zacht, maar hoewel ik niet van zachte bedden houd, heb ik redelijk comfortabel geslapen. Afbeelding 1: De lobby bevindt zich op de 0e verdieping. Er is een deur buiten de lift. Klik op de knop en deze gaat branden en open deze vervolgens. Figuur 2-9: Het ontbijt is oké en de Chinese smaak is nog steeds aanpasbaar. Je kunt sandwiches maken met gesneden brood. Nadat je naar buiten bent gegaan, loop je zuidwaarts naar de metro (de rode lijn, de Grieken zeggen niet het nummer van de lijn, ze zeggen alleen de rode lijn). Het duurt slechts 20 minuten om naar de Akropolis te lopen loop naar het Panathinaik-stadion en de Tempel van Zeus, de Poort van Hadrianus en het Syntagma-plein. Onthoud dat deze stop sygrou fix wordt genoemd. Figuur 11: Het Parthenon op de Akropolis is buiten het raam te zien. Figuur 13.18 toont het hotel en de kamers. Figuur 19.20 toont het uiterlijk en de omgeving van het hotel. Veel veiliger dan Place de la Concorde, geen daklozen. De uitchecktijd van het hotel is hier 11 uur, maar als u op de laatste dag vertrekt, kunt u uw bagage opslaan bij de receptie en als u terugkomt, kunt u de badkamer lenen in hun ondergrondse fitnessruimte om te douchen en om te kleden voordat u vertrekt! De receptie is erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Ze kunnen u helpen bij het boeken van een taxi en mij helpen met het vinden van de route naar Mycene, de tijd, enz. Het ontbijt begint om 6.30 uur. Als u vroeg opstaat, kunt u dit van tevoren doorgeven aan de receptie. Er staat de volgende ochtend een eenvoudige lunchbox, brood, jam, sap en eieren klaar.

GGuest UserTraveling from London with a 19-hour layover in Athens, I arrived at the hotel around 9 PM and had a flight to Shanghai the next day at 1 PM. I chose this hotel primarily for its excellent location, being very close to the Acropolis and within walking distance. Even with a short layover, I could easily fit in a half-day tour of the Acropolis the next morning. The overall check-in process was smooth, and it was a perfect choice for an overnight stopover to explore Athens.

GGuest UserReview for NYX Esperia Palace Athens – Luxurious Stay with a Few Caveats
We stayed at NYX Esperia Palace Athens for four full days – two couples, each in an Executive Suite with access to the business lounge.
The welcome was warm and efficient, and we received our rooms exactly at 3:00 PM, as per hotel policy. The suites were clean, stylish, and well-equipped with amenities such as disposable toothbrushes, shaving kits, loofahs, a hairdryer, and more. One of our suites, located on the 7th floor, even had a partial view of the Acropolis, which was a lovely bonus.
The room’s climate, lighting, and curtains were all operated through digital controls, designed to pamper guests — although, in practice, they were not very intuitive and required a bit of trial and error. For instance, turning off the bedside light required getting up and walking to a control panel.
The TV included Israeli channels (11, 12, and 13), which we appreciated. Breakfast on the 10th floor was excellent, offering a wide variety of high-quality options, and the waiter service was above average.
One of the highlights of our stay was the exceptional care provided by Ilia, the hotel's Public Relations Manager. She guided us almost from the moment we arrived until we left — recommending excellent tavernas, booking taxis, restaurants, and arranging a private guided tour. On our last day, we were also warmly greeted by Dionysia in the lounge — charming and attentive.
That said, there were some drawbacks:
Reception service was inconsistent – not all staff members were welcoming; some appeared cold or offered forced smiles.
The business lounge was disappointing – small, crowded, with modest food and drink offerings and uninspiring seating. It felt more like a repurposed room than a proper lounge.
The pools require advance reservation, with no room for spontaneity. Usage hours are segmented (e.g., 1–4 PM or 4–7 PM), and spots after 7 PM are very limited. The rooftop pool area is crowded, and the adjacent restaurant is also open to non-guests.
Rooftop restaurant experience: One evening we returned from a night out and hoped to enjoy a drink with a view. Although two front-row tables overlooking the Acropolis were available, we were initially told they were reserved. Minutes later, we were informed we could sit there for a €25 minimum spend per person. The sudden shift from ”reserved” to ”available for a price” was off-putting — especially as hotel guests staying in suites.
The guided tour recommended by the hotel involved nearly 4 hours of driving during a 5-hour trip, leaving us with very little time at each stop. We suggest skipping it.
Bottom line:
The hotel is modern, very clean, and the suites are luxurious. Service is mostly excellent, particularly thanks to Ilia and Dionysia. However, don't count on spontaneous access to the pool or rooftop restaurant — enjoying those requires planning ahead, much like booking a theater show. If you value well-designed suites and structured experiences, this hotel may be a great fit. If you’re looking for flexibility and full-day pampering from hotel facilities — you might find it a bit limiting.

However, the location was a real plus, just about an 8-minute walk from Syntagma Square. The breakfast was decent, and it was great that you could have it quite early (from 7 AM).

GGuest UserIt was a good stay for the price. Close to the station, towels are exchanged every day, and there is a cheap and delicious kebab shop right by the side (diagonally in front). The man at the front desk was very kind.
However, the location is not very good first. The road from the station to the hotel is not so worried if it is not midnight, but it is not recommended for women. And if you go back to the hotel and go to the right about 3 blocks, you get to the dangerous zone of the Manila slums. There are all kinds of drug addicts.
And there is no shampoo or toothbrush in the room. Then, there is no shower curtain, so the toilet becomes rusty even if it enters how well.
But you can forgive me if you think about the price. Such a hotel.

GGuest UserMiraMe has the BEST shower we have ever experienced. THE BEST SHOWER! It comes with four different ' heads ' and the water pressure is extremely powerful so taking a shower after a hot day in Athens was an absolute joy. Usually the rainshower found in most hotels is weak, but MiraMe's jets are very forceful and steady water temperature. The other three ' heads ' are one for the chest, one for the butt and one for the legs. Then there is also one separate hand held shower head on the side. The shower room is spacious and drainage is smooth, and the door seals perfect so there is no worry of a leak. We cannot claim to be hotel experts but for the 30+ odd years of travelling and having stayed in over 60 hotels in many cities, we can vow loud and clear that MiraMe has really sourced the BEST shower model, and other hotels, even other leading hotels in the world should dump theirs and change them into MiraMe's.
Locationwise, MiraMe also is very good. The main shopping districts are just 10 mins walk away where you can find famous brands as well as plenty of shoe shops. In the area are major bus stops , great variety of restaurants, cafes, ice cream parlours, pharmacies and other nice hotels.
The room we had booked is ' deluxe family room with balcony ' that has a short flight of stairs leading to an attic for the 3rd person. It is a nice nook up there for some privacy with a bed and a sofa and an individual air con that provides a comfy temp. The balcony is small and not much view so we hardly used it. Breakfast is provided up on the rooftop bar cum lounge, where a young staff manned the place and served freshly made breakfast cooked to each guest's order every morning. The rooftop has a nice open view of the Acropolis and has very nice updated music that is cool but not too loud and wild.
They also have a bar on the G/F serving drinks. The staff are all young and pleasant, polite and helpful and they try their best to help with restaurant bookings and recommendations etc.
MiraMe is a clean and modern boutique hotel that provides sufficient toiletries to make the stay comfy and carefree. Housekeeping is discreet and the bedding is all clean and white, bath and hand towels and floors and things we touch are basically clean. Again, we cannot praise enough their wonderful shower that has to be the BEST in the whole world.
The hotel is in a quiet street but in a very safe neighbourhood, so even if you return late everyone feels very secure and safe.

GGuest UserThis was a great stay for us and our family. The hotel is conveniently located near many popular sights and eateries in Athens and most were within a 10-20 minute walk. The nearby Monastiraki metro station made it easy to get to and from the airport as well.
The rooms are nicely appointed with a couple of chairs, work station, coffee/tea station, closet, mini fridge and TV. The beds were small but comfy enough. Our family had a 2 and 3 bed rooms and we found the 2 bed room was a lot more spacious. The bathrooms in both were small but we appreciated that the hot water came on quickly and there was a small window for ventilation. Our room was quiet at night but our family noted street noise on the lower floors. The elevators were often tricky to catch as they are small but we appreciated it when we didn't feel like the climb to the sixth floor.
The amenities at the hotel were good for the price. The roof top patio and bar area was a highlight and we enjoyed a couple of afternoons up here watching the sun set and the lights turn on at the Acropolis. The prices of the bar were inexpensive and they had a good variety of options. There was a sitting room that had tea and coffee midday and they kept it open in the evening so we were able to sit together and talk. They had laundry service, baggage storage and could help arrange tours or car hires as well at the front desk with their friendly and welcoming staff.
The breakfast at this hotel was very good for the price. They had something for everyone and lots of place to sit. Highlights for us were the Greek yoghurt and the spinach and feta stuffed pastries. They also had mini sausages, bacon, scrambled eggs, feta cheese, cucumber, tomatoes, breads, baklava, croissants, dried fruits, fresh fruits, juices and a coffee machine. We looked forward to breakfast each morning.
The hotel provided a good base for exploring and was centrally located. We would say if you're looking to save money and have a good breakfast to start your day in Athens this hotel is a good choice.

SSarah JanesThis place is quite unusual. My room was upgraded so that I had a suite over two floors, with a small private pool on another lower level. Absolutely every convenience had been considered, some extras might verge on overkill (bog roll tied up with a ribbon for example).
The room looked amazing on first inspection, but I quite quickly realised the smell of the pool was so strong it stung my eyes, and the sound of the ventilation unit was quite a roar. There was only one small openable window on the mezzanine level next to the bed and I had to sleep with that open as wide as possible.
Bed was extremely comfortable, I had to turn off the pool ventilator unit in the middle of the night because it kept waking me up, but once I had done that and the smell of baking bread entered the room from a bakery down the road I slept like a log.
Staff were really nice and friendly, but they are working with quite difficult circumstances and perhaps unnecessarily. The kitchen is on the bottom floor and breakfast is served on the 5th floor roof (from which you can see the Parthenon) breakfast is a little awkward as you get a huge wicker basket 🧺 full of food plus crepes, plus omelette, plus tuna sandwich, a whole baguette (some more little ribbons), and I am not sure anyone can eat as much as is provided, and the server had to keep travelling up and down in the one person elevator. Probably would be better to ask guests what they would like to have for breakfast out of the options available and have a coffee/tea station upstairs. There is the option to take lunch in your room - for which the picnic basket concept makes a lot more sense.
Seems like there should be a way to make the place feel more efficient and common sensible. I did get the feeling that they might have only just opened and are finding their feet, so I hope this review will be useful - certainly was a generous accommodation and staff are working very hard to make sure guests have the best possible experience.

GGuest UserI recently stayed at Ermass Modern Living Apartments in Athens and overall had a pleasant experience. The property is in a very good and central location, with bus and metro connections nearby, making it easy to get around the city. It was also easy to find, which is a big plus for first-time visitors.
The room was comfortable and practical, equipped with a mini-kitchen and utensils, which was convenient for light cooking. There is also a nice rooftop garden where you can relax and enjoy the view. The apartment is close to the famous Stani Greek restaurant, as well as several mini-markets for groceries and daily needs. An AC is provided, which made the stay comfortable during warmer days.
A special mention and thanks to Thanos and Konstantina for their warm hospitality and constant support throughout the stay. They were very friendly, helpful, and always ready to provide useful information about places to visit, travel tips, and other local details.
However, there are a few downsides to be aware of. The back side and nearby streets are not very clean, and the area does not feel very safe late at night. After around 10 PM, it’s better to avoid walking around, as we noticed several homeless individuals and people associated with ***** in the vicinity during nighttime.
Overall, Ermass Modern Living Apartments offers great value, a central location, and helpful staff, but guests should be cautious about the surrounding area at night.

GGuest UserI was impressed with this hotel for the price I paid. Very centralised, with the metro station right there. Restaurants, shops, supermarkets only steps away. The hotel itself is very comfortable. Though my room was a bit small, it’s all you need. Lots of pillows on the bed. Fluffy towels, and all the great amenities. They give you everything you need, and then some. Free water as well. The breakfast was copious. So much choices. I love the terrace. There are jacuzzis on the terrace! I also ate at the restaurant, which as very good. The staff are very friendly. The deco is cool as well. I’ll come back next time I’m in Athens.
