Pros: beach front, easy access to the beach, tranquility around the lounge beach chairs. Friendly staff
Cons: hotel is dated, shower was too small. There were cucarachas coming off the AC vents. Staff came to address it right away, however. There are not elevators and it is difficult to bring luggage to 2nd and 3rd floors. The place was not design for people with mobility issues. Also people are allowed with dogs unleashed. One small dog came after me. When I approach the dog’s owner to ask if he could put his dog on a leash, he became belligerent, disrespectful, and a kind of ******. The hotel staff watched and did nothing. When I ask for the manager to complaint I was told she was on vacation (?) when I ask for whoever was in charge, I was also told that person was also unavailable. It was frustrating and disappointing as that was a safety issue that remained unaddressed.

El hotel era increíble, y los empleados muy atentos, lo único es que está bastante lejos del centro de Puerto Plata y del aeropuerto. Pero, la zona de Cabarete está muy bien , ya que hay bastante movimiento de extranjeros y mucha fiesta.
En lo que respecta muy buen lugar.
(PD: Hay poca oferta de Uber )
Si vais y hay un Uber con el nombre de Ever, es el mejorr ＜3

Schöne Lage direkt am Privatstrand. Weg zum Strand führt über Steg mit angelegten Teichen mit Enten und Vögeln. Schöne Gartenanlage. Zimmerausstattung einfach und ist in die Jahre gekommen, aber sauber.
Voralpen Badezimmer sollten aufgefrischt werden. Wifi gegen Gebühr ist nicht mehr zeitgemäss und sollte inklusive sein. Alkoholische Getränke im All-inklusive Angebot sind eher billiger und niedriger Qualität. Für bessere Qualität zahlt man zusätzlich. Das Essen ist ausreichend, manchmal fehlt die Frische und Qualität.
Personal ist freundlich und machen gute Arbeit.
Das Hotel hat Potential aber sicher noch Luft nach oben.

GGuest UserEverything was fine in the facilities, the problem was the penalty they charged me for being Dominican. You should charge everything for the same reservation and not have the awkward moment at check-in time.

GGuest UserMy experience at the Lifestyle Tropical Resort Cofresi was overall very good. The parking was odd, as I had to leave my vehicle on the roadside, as there was no parking lot. The reception area was outside as the lobby was under renovation. The reception personnel were polite, but not particularly enthusiastic about helping the customers. I had to wait nearly an hour to get my room key. Still, not a bad check-in.
The room was in a quiet area, not far from the buffet. The buffet was nice and offered enough variety to please my appetite. The VIP beach area was what I liked the most. I appreciate having two bars, two sets of bathrooms, and a sushi bar on site. My only issue with the VIP beach is that there were only 4 or 5 chars to sit on. Often the chairs were occupied by other people's beach towels and not available to me. I find that there are too many beds in this area and no chaise lounge chairs. The VIP staff were polite and attentive.
I found that some of the bars were closed before their scheduled time. When I asked one bartender about this, he said they had to start cleaning early or they wouldn't go home until 1:00 am.
Overall, I had a nice stay. I will plan on returning in the future!

GGuest UserStaff was very nice. However, while in the property you will not be able to nap in the middle of the day if that is your thing, it is way to loud since right in front of your window is the main street and lots of motorcycles pass by along with cars with hooked up loud music. if you are going with family you are better off staying in Puerto Plata or Cabarete. Sosua is really a town for men if you know what i mean. In this hotel you will be woken up by noise and talking people by usually 6-7 am. This happens any day/night while i stayed here. This hotel is about 20 mins from Cabarete and 30 from Puerto Plata. For a good night out of dancing i recommend visiting “Ojos” restaurant/club on the water which is located in Cabarete. In Sosua we checked out Santa Fe, it was very nice with good music and multiple pools and great staff and they also had cabanas.

GGuest UserPlaya Bachata resort is a 3 star experience. If you want a low cost all inclusive getaway, this place works. Don't expect high-quality food, drinks, or activities and you won't be disappointed. The staff, as in all DR resorts, are very kind and helpful. The check-in process was a little slow; which is odd because I was the only one at check-in. The room was clean, but the furnishings were very dated. I was disturbed to find about a dozen flies crawling at the cold salad bar. The beach is the highlight of this resort. I loved sitting under the palm trees and observing the beautiful sea and sky. Overall, it was a good experience at the price point I paid.

Take the classic car tour for 3 hours - well worth it.
Rooms were ideal - spa was most accommodating - booked 2 different massages plus the Romantic Getaway package -

Greilly our concierge handled all requests even on short notice and gave great advice,

GGuest UserI enjoyed my stay at Casa Marina. Nice friendly service. Conveniently located steps away from Playa Alicia. Also has its on private beach. Buffet restaurant couldn't be positioned any better to enjoy the beauty of the sea while enjoying a delicious meal. Breakfast lunch and dinner was always good you will always find something that's to your liking. Only thing that I didn't agree with is the guest policy, the hotel doesn't allow ” outside guest.” Other than that. I would stay again

GGuest UserDas Hotel liegt sehr zentral im Ort Cabarete man kann alles gut zu Fuß erreichen, Cafés, Restaurant, Bars und den langen Sandstrand.
Das Hotel hat zwei Pools und ein Whirlpool.
Die Gartenanlage ist sehr gepflegt und man fühlt sich sehr wohl in der Anlage, es gibt genügend Liegestühle und Sonnenschirme um sich an der Poolanlage zu erholen.
Die Zimmer sind sehr hell und freundlich eingerichtet das Bett ist sehr groß und man hat einen großen Schrank mit Spiegel im Zimmer. Es gibt eine Terrasse oder Balkon pro Zimmer. Im Bad gibt es immer warmes Wasser zum Duschen.
