"Wat een mooi hotel. Het hotel was vol met karakter die we adoreerden. De kamers waren een heerlijk, mooi decor en uitzonderlijk schoon. We hadden niet geboekt voor het diner, maar de manager was zeer ingewikkeld en kreeg ons in het restaurant. Het avondmaal was heerlijk en het ontbijt in ons verblijf was ook heerlijk. We zouden zeker terugkomen. Een zeer nodig kind vrij nacht! Bedankt"

"Grote ervaring op het White Hart Hotel. De gastheer was ongelooflijk aardig en de kamers waren ruime en comfortabel. De plaats voelt zich zeer echt en is zeer mooi gemaakt. Het ontbijt was ook zeer smaakvol, en de service door het personeel ook geweldig. Ik zou zeker aanbevelen als je een reis langs de Thames Path zou gaan."

"We have stayed here twice. The first time (2025) we were in the block which is separate to the main building- this was OK and the service was much better. The latest time we stayed we were in the main building- its grotty. The carpet leading to the rooms was stained and the room itself although it looked clean, didn't 'feel clean'-the place could do with a refresh and new carpets. We were unable to get food upon arrival as they stop serving at 9pm- we arrived a couloe of minutes before 9pm after a 4 hour drive, we were disappointe and we could see a couple eating in the bar area whose meals came out long after we had arrived- so really we could have ordered and been served. We ended up ordering an Uber eats meal."

"We had a lovely stay. It is a very relaxed place. We stayed for a night during Wallingford's local Bunkfest (great music!). The hotel is one of the Bunkfest venues which added to our stay. Our room was one of their smallest rooms but was comfortable with lots of extra touches - table fan, kettle, excellent bathroom etc. The welcome was warm and friendly even though they were busy getting set up for Bunkfest. Really glad we chose to go here"

"We highly recommended the Beetle & Wedge accommodation to our good friends visiting from abroad for 2 nights this past week. Unfortunately, we were extremely disappointed by the poor welcome, service and general attendance they received. Having booked many months in advance, we expected they would be given the best possible suite. However, they were put into a cold, stuffy, dark converted garage in the road behind, with no outlook from the small window. When we questioned it, we were told other rooms were available and they agreed to move them. We did not welcome the inconvenience and we remain curious as to why they were not put there in the first place. As the room was much better, we were happy to give them the benefit of the doubt at that stage. Unfortunately, after a day out the following day, they returned to their room which had not been cleaned or serviced, with morning coffee cups, bed, and the bathroom untouched. Furthermore, at 8.30 am on the last morning of their stay, they went to reception to sign out, say goodbye and hand in the keys. They found the doors locked and there was no one in sight! Having spoken so highly about the Bettle & Wedge to our friends who had travelled all this way expecting to stay in special accommodation, we felt embarrassed and let down by the neglect they received and the appalling lack of customer service. We certainly will not recommend the Beetle & Wedge again and, sadly, neither will we be eating there!"

"Ik heb een middag thee gereserveerd op Groupon en we waren niet teleurgesteld. Het hotel is prachtig en het heeft parkeerplaats. We werden gegroet aan mijn mooie dame, Shannon, en ze kon niet meer helpen. De sandwiches waren zeer vrij met genoeg vullen en de Scones waren uitstekend. Schattige cakes en veel thee. We hadden ook een glas Prosecco. We zullen zeker terugkomen."
