"The hotel was ok although the bathroom in our room is in need of serious renovation. In our room there was no kettle and cups like the room next door. When we asked about it they said its because the other room was at a different category! The pool should have been heated due to low temperatures. The breakfast was good."

"The hotel does not quite live up to 5-star standards, although it has a few positive aspects. The room was large and spacious, but poorly ventilated, with signs of dampness – which can be an issue, especially for guests with mold allergies. In the bathroom, several details required attention: the sink faucet was broken, the bathtub had no plug, the jacuzzi system was out of service, there was no shower curtain (making showers uncomfortable and slippery), and the entrance door was damaged. Additionally, the cabinet housing the fridge was swollen from moisture. Regarding general facilities, the absence of a terrace or balcony was a drawback. The air conditioning in the hallways was not working, and there was a persistent smell of fried food from the kitchen, combined with stained carpets in the corridors, which created an unpleasant atmosphere. At night, the noise from the air conditioning compressors was disturbing. As for the beach, I did not ask or check about its location, but the photos might give the impression that the hotel is right next to it – which is not the case. Breakfast was generous, though not very varied. Overall, the experience felt closer to a 3-star stay rather than a 5-star one."

"We moesten een vrachtwagen van Volos vangen en niets in de stad vinden, we besloten om te blijven bij Hotel Kritsa in Portaria na andere goede beoordelingen online te hebben gezien. We waren niet teleurgesteld! Het hotel en het restaurant zijn op het hoofdplein in het centrum van het dorp gebogen. Onze kamer was comfortabel ingericht met een klein balkon met uitzicht op het plein. We hadden een koelkast, thee en koffiefaciliteiten en airconditioning (een must wanneer de temperaturen zijn in de late 30's) Het personeel was echt vriendelijk vooral Elein en we eten in het restaurant in de avond. Eten was fantastisch. Met een zeer vroege start konden we niet het ontbijt waar iedereen om geeft, maar ze maakten een pakje voor ons. Goed waarde en een mooi hotel"

"De Stay Ik zal me herinneren Van het moment dat we aankomen, voelde alles speciaal de ademachtige uitzichten, de vreedzame atmosfeer, de prachtige traditionele omgeving, en het gevoel dat we volledig weg zijn van het dagelijkse leven. Word wakker in Makrinitsa en kijk naar die scène is een ervaring in zichzelf. Maar wat ons verblijf echt herinnerde was de combinatie van comfort, gastvrijheid, aandacht voor de details, en dat onmiskenbare gevoel van welkom in plaats van gewoon ingewoond. Elke klein detail leek te zeggen: “Rustig, je bent precies waar je moet zijn.” Als je op zoek bent naar een plek met ziel, karakter, onvergetelijke uitzichten, en echte gastvrijheid, dan is het het. We kwamen als gasten en verliet met een prachtig geheugen. Balcon Makrinitsa, bedankt voor het maken van onze verblijf zo speciaal. ❤️"

"We woonden in kamer 601, niet slecht uitzicht, van dit kleine hotel, midden in de stad, wandelen afstand tot het waterfront. De kamer was zeer schoon en modern, met een goede douche en een paar toiletten. We vonden het bed een beetje klein maar we zijn niet hoge mensen. Het buffet ontbijt was heel traditioneel en zeer mooi. Ik zou haar nog eens blijven en aanbevelen."

It was also spotlessly clean & comfortable and the breakfast superb. However, what makes this hotel really special is the warm, family atmosphere created by Anastasia who does everything she can to make your stay extra special. We would give her 15 out of 10 if we could! There is nothing to dislike but customers should be aware that out of season, there are no restaurants in the immediate vicinity and we therefore profited from Anastasia's snack menu each evening."
