"Heel fijn en prachtig op een helling gelegen hotel met zicht op het dal. Geen moeite is de medewerkers teveel, ze staan altijd voor je klaar en zullen ervoor zorgen dat het je aan niets zal ontbreken tijdens je verblijf. De upgrade naar een gerenoveerde kamer was z'n prijs meer dan waard. Wij hopen hier net als veel andere gaten zeker nog eens terug te keren!"

"Wij hebben er niet gelogeerd en kunnen het enkel als restaurant beoordelen. Maar het was subliem wat we daar voorgeschoteld kregen. 2 keer namen we het 3 gangen verrassingsmenu en telkens was elk onderdeel, het voorgerecht, het hoofdgerecht en het dessert, van een voor die prijs ongeziene verfijndheid en kwaliteit met veel oog voor detail. En zelfs toen we uitgeput en bezweet in wandelkledij en zonder reservatie aanklopten waren we welkom en werden we met dezelfde égards bediend. Dus ook ‘noodgevallen’ worden op hetzelfde niveau geplaatst als de chique geklede gasten. De bediening is super vriendelijk en geeft je een warm gevoel zonder de stijfheid dat je zou verwachten. Het was 3 maal een hoogtepunt van ons verblijf in Villanders. Ps vragen staat vrij om een bepaalde voorkeur te wensen. Het glas rode wijn was wat aan de dure kant maar was sowieso van hetzelfde niveau als het daarbij geserveerde eten. Kortom: niks dan lof voor het personeel, de uitbaatster als de chefkok. Gewoon 1 woord: TOP!"

"I'd like to start with the positives. The staff are incredibly friendly. The garage is a good size. The swimming pool is also very nice. Unfortunately, I can't think of anything else positive. I traveled to the hotel with my wife and dog. We were greeted warmly and offered a welcome drink. Since it was very warm, we wanted to enjoy it on the terrace. As soon as we stepped onto the terrace, we were "greeted" by a loud honk from the construction crane opposite. At that point, I immediately considered getting back in the car and leaving... But we decided to give the hotel another chance. After our drinks, we went to our room with a view of the Dolomites. Upon entering the room, we were met with what felt like a sweltering 35 degrees Celsius (95 degrees Fahrenheit). I immediately went looking for the air conditioning switch. No luck! There was no mention of air conditioning anywhere... Our mistake... We opened the balcony door and were greeted once again by the crane operator... Our view fell upon what we later learned was a retirement home. Shouldn't the Dolomites be there? Yes, you can see the Dolomites, but that gray box is always in the foreground... The night was a disaster. We couldn't leave any windows or blinds open because the cars driving down the mountain would shine their lights right in our faces. It got hotter and hotter, and our dog couldn't stop panting. We didn't get a wink of sleep either. We hoped we could at least sleep in the room during the day. Unfortunately, that wasn't possible because of the construction site across the street. We then asked at reception for a fan. The staff searched in vain for one. When I asked where I could buy one myself, I received no answer... They promised they would find one and bring it to our room. Unfortunately, we waited in vain for the fan. So, the night turned into another nightmare. On top of that, a delivery arrived at 4:00 a.m. that was impossible to miss. That was the last straw, and we told reception we wanted to leave. The friendly gentleman checked with his boss and informed us that we would have to pay the full price for the two nights and half price for the following night, since we wouldn't be staying. This was despite the fact that there was no mention whatsoever of a construction site across the street. We also searched in vain for the promised hiking trails and green spaces for walking the dog. The food was okay, but apart from the portion size, it had nothing to do with a 4-star hotel. I've even had better half a chicken at Oktoberfest back home. We unfortunately cannot, in good conscience, recommend this hotel to anyone."
