"Le Beaulieu is een prachtig gerenoveerd herenhuis niet ver van het station van Vichy. Het enige nadeel is de ligging naast de spoorlijn. Er is afgesloten parkeermogelijkheid. Het huis en ook de gastenkamers zijn wondermooi gedecoreerd. De kamers zijn ruim en heeeeel proper. Het ontbijt is lekker met veel zelfgemaakte producten. De airco doet goed zijn werk tijdens de hitte. De ontvangst en bediening zijn heel vriendelijk en je krijgt alle nodige uitleg. Je krijgt ook je eigen pantoffels. Het centrum en de restaurants liggen op een goed kwartier stappen. Onze kamer was achteraan de woning en daar hadden we geen last van de treinen."

"The room was clean and had a beautiful arched window but the air con was useless and as there was a heat wave this made the stay very uncomfortable. Additionally, they were unable to provide ice cubes which seemed bizarre given their star rating. Finally, confusion over pricing. 18 euros for breakfast and 9 euros for parking but room directory says 13 and 6. Updating a room directory is hardly difficult. So service needs to be improved."

"This family run hotel has recently been acquired by new owners who have completely turned the place around. It is in the middle of changing name from Castel Louis to Belle Étoile. Adeline welcomes you warmly and will help with any enquiries. There are 3 floors of bedrooms, ranging from single to family rooms for 4, all redecorated and with brand new shower rooms, Smart vinyl flooring. Comfortable beds. They are still making improvements. Our group of 11 adults and two children occupied 7 rooms between us! Everyone was really happy and comfortable. We took photos of some of the different rooms. Breakfast is served as a help yourself buffet -sweet and savoury- and all the baked goods are made on site. Nearby roadside parking is free. The hotel is well situated between the river Allier and the town centre. Highly recommend !"
