"Attention to all visitor of VEVEY. I want to write about my unpleasant experience with Vevey House hotel. I telephoned the reception and booked two rooms from the third to the fourth of May. The person who spoke to me on the phone did not tell me that the toilet and shower were on the floor. When we had arrived and found that out we kindly asked the management of the hotel that we want to go to another hotel because our circumstances did not permit us to stay in the Vevey house hotel . I have a 3 year old child. The check-in manager said that that would be no problem and the money would be returned to us. To make sure that we get refunded- we came the next morning to speak to Mr. Davide who was the manager of the hotel. He said that would be no problem I only should write an email and they would return the money. I was writing emails to Mr. Davide the whole month of May. In the beginning he reply with promises that he would return the money. Then he he stopped replying. This means it was an empty promise he never intended to fulfill. LIAR. They led us by the nose for the whole month. Rediculous. We are a working class family from Gemany. The attitude is disrespectful and disappointing((((( I do not recommend this hotel in Vevey."

"I was worried about the gas station restaurant hotel, but surprisingly, the view was great. It's okay to get in from Bebe station but there is a bus. It's good to come by bus late at night to see the Montreux Festival ~~"

"I had a great stay here, don't listen to the negative reviews, the hotel is under new ownership and renovations to the bar and restaurant were well under way, with the installation of a proper Irish style pub, hopefully fully opening next week. Yes the rooms are a bit dated, apparently a programme of refurbishment is next on the owners agenda. But the rooms are very clean and comfortable with lovely warm good pressure shower. The staff at every level are welcoming and friendly, the owners in particular were very accommodating and helpful. The hotel is in a fabulous location, right on the main square and just a short stroll to the lake and tour boats etc. I would definitely stay here again"
