My wife and I discovered this wonderful place after traveling everywhere in Europe for the last 40 years. As a travel writer I have confidently shared our discovery of this wonderful place with many friends and readers. From the moment you arrive you receive a warm greeted by the most professional and caring staff. Everyone is attentive and truly want to make your stay a good one. When we arrived mid day we went to the pool for a wonderful lunch. Near us was a table with an attractive family, of 3 generations and their family dog, They were the family who owns and manages the property , ”eating their own cooking” as we say, and enjoying the quiet loveliness of their own property. There are 3 choices of accommodations here, each wonderful and meeting special preferences. We stayed in the Palazzo and loved it, but the Castello/Castle and its garden and views are outstanding. The rooms in the beautifully renovated stables with large grass common area are very accommodating, especially for families with children. The whole property is a destination in itself with so many things to see. We had breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks, all in totally different environments, and it all was superb. In closing, we all know that the staff makes all the difference wherever we stay. Again, the staff, and owners, could not be more welcoming, joyful and professional. Stayed overnight for our early flight home to the US. Front desk person was very efficient and kind. The room was particularly large for an European hotel—great mattress. Very clean. Helpful staff. Great place if you need a no frills, clean and comfortable place to stay while overnighting. Hotel has a free shuttle but a reservation is a must. Didn’t know that but they went out of their way to accommodate. Definitely mail use again if needed for this purpose.

Set in a peaceful area close to a lovely little town called Sesto Calende. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a lovely balcony overlooking woodland. As it is out of the way, they also sell plated meals at reasonable prices which can be heated in their kitchen area, if you don’t want to head out. Lovely staff, will definitely return.

We stayed here as part of our Viking extension. We had a nice room overlooking the lake. The bed was not the best, and as with older hotels, there were some ”charming” things to consider. We turned on the little lights on the ceiling, and they blew out. The bedside lamp had a frayed cloth wire with the metal exposed (I have not seen such a wire in probably 50 years). We reported these issues, but it was a weekend. I expected the lamp to be replaced because that's definitely a fire hazard, but no. Anyway, it's a pretty place, the air conditioning worked well, and it's a five minute walk to town with its many restaurants.

Excellent position

First of all, ignore all the reviews older than a year, because it’s pretty much a new hotel. This place should have much higher reviews. It’s a newly refurbished hotel in a great location, only 20-30 minute drive from all the lakes, and 15 minutes to Varese. It includes free parking for all guests. The style of the Hotel is a mix of retro and modern inspired by 50s American diner, with cool neon lights and beautifully tasty furniture with a contemporary feel. We stayed in a Standard Room, which was more than big enough for my wife and I. The bed was massive and comfortable. We were able to ask for two more pillows which they gave us without any hesitation. There is a huge TV, fast Wi-Fi and USB charging ports on either side of the bed. The bathroom is crisp, clean, modern and spacious. Amazing shower with rainfall shower head and handheld option. Sink, bidet and toilet. The usual. Breakfast is also included and is plentiful. Different options to choose from different hams and turkeybreast, cheeses, various sweet options like cookies and pastries. There is a coffee machine that is available 24/7 as well as a fridge with drinks and selection of chocolates and snacks, which works with an Honesty System where you must write down whatever you take. I cannot praise this hotel more that giving it five stars. I’m very picky when it comes to choosing hotels, especially since we stayed for seven nights. We will absolutely be back. Lastly, the best part of the stay were the staff. Every single one of the employees from the receptionists to the housekeeping girls were stupendous and lovely. They made our stay worthwhile. So thanks to all of them. This is an example of how every hotel in the world should be managed :-)

Really a good place, with free shuttleservice to the airport even! The wifi is free, and works perfectly - and the familyroom we had was spacious and clean - nothing missing with cleaning every say. Great pool area. We enjoyed the breakfast very much! The dinner was buffet during our stay due to the storm, so we can’t really rate the dinner. But everything else was ok. One missing star is for the playground, which is kind of too tired and should be replaced? But other than that: we had two great days here as a family and will come back.

Ho trascorso alcuni giorni in questo hotel con la mia famiglia, restando subito colpita dalla bellezza dell’ambiente, per gli ampi spazi molto curati sia all’esterno che all’interno: ci ha accolto un giardino con un prato verde e rigogliosi alberi fioriti, e ci è venuto incontro personale gentilissimo che ci ha portato i bagagli in camera e ci ha indicato il parcheggio dell’hotel. All’interno, bei salotti arredati con eleganza e guarniti con piante e fiori freschi, e una sala da pranzo piena di luce grazie alle pareti tutte a vetro, affacciate sul giardino. All’ultimo piano, una grande terrazza da cui si gode la splendida vista del lago e delle sue isole. Sul dietro c’è una bella piscina che in primavera non è ancora fruibile ma che d’estate sicuramente offre un piacevole refrigerio. Ci siamo sentiti coccolati e abbiamo trovato disponibilità anche da parte del personale di sala (abbiamo usufruito del trattamento di mezza pensione) pronto a venire incontro alle esigenze dei miei nipotini di uno e cinque anni. La posizione dell’hotel è ottima, vicina al centro e al lungolago, e in particolare a due passi dalla partenza dei traghetti per le isole. Insomma, consigliatissimo!!!!

After a long time, finally an overnight stay in this beautiful hotel. Closed because of Covid, but now open again. Good: Friendly staff, very nicely furnished rooms (especially deluxe rooms and up). Great pillows, fast wifi, good lighting concept, nice terrace, big bathroom. Not so good: Breakfast room a bit cold in terms of a**osphere

Planes are flying by like in every 2-3 minute, I hardly got sleep, but i guess thats the necessary price i have to pay, for being able to get to the airport on foot in 20 minutes. So I wont complain too much at this point. At other points, this hotel is pretty good, thx to the owner and crews of the hotel, u are doing a good job!
