Stay here was good, a lot of expats working there and claiming the place a little bit. Besides that the location was ok. There is a lot of construction going on in the area.

Mooi nieuw hotel in Tulum, weliswaar met een arme wijk tegen het hotel aan met slechte wegen. De kamer is fantastisch luxe en groot genoeg. Het ronde bed maakt het ook leuk. Het zwembad is luxe en groot. Buiten bij het zwembad ruik je wel af en toe de rioolgeur. Wij hebben hier twee nachten geslapen wat prima was alleen om vanaf hier naar restaurant te gaan moet je een auto of taxi nemen.

Definitely pretty hotel, calm and peaceful environment, plenty of parking spots available inside the hotel , nice pool, wonderful service at the pool, cute interior, big bathroom. Cons: The neighborhood was really dirty and the road was super bumpy, it took us 5-10 min of driving to get to the hotel from the main street. The room was dusty and that was the worst thing during our stay. Also, when we booked the hotel they mention that you would get some $ credit that could be used in the hotel, but when we checked in, they said that it's not an option!!! We never understood the reason that it’s being written in the description!

We stayed 4 nights and had a great stay. The rooms and especially the pool look exactly like the pictures and are stunning. Our stay was quiet in terms of other guests as the hotel is not 100% up and running yet (no in-house restaurant and gym but were offered to use the facilities of the neighboring hotel) which we loved as we had the huge pool all to ourselves :-). You should be aware that the area around the hotel (Aldea Zama) is separated from the "center" by an area that you should not walk through at night - so you have to rely on (expensive) cabs or a car to get around at night - not the responsibility of the hotel, but an issue of many areas in Tulum to be aware of!

Really nice journey with friends, good welcome and staff is available when you need something. I recommend this place for people comming to tulum. The only thing is that the road in front of the hotel is not really good.

We booked the hotel in January for May. Apparently there was a system error and they only realised after 4 months, 2 weeks before my stay! Not like someone was trying to reach me and apologise, they marked on booking that my card declined. It was not true as it is the same card I always use and I spoke to *********** to confirm. After that message I reached to them and got an abrubt message in Spanish that it was an error. When replied to them asking what is going on, I received no answer. Now have to look last minute acommodation in Tulum! Very unprofessional! I am frequent traveller and never was treated that way by even the cheapest hostels!

Me and my partner had a very pleasant stay at Ophelia. Building is clean, beautiful and very modern. Staff is friendly and helpful and the rooms were cozy and spacious. It was well priced and breakfast options were vast and not expensive. It is worth baring in mind however, that it’s preferable to have a car to get to the Centre of Tulum, as well as the beach which is a 20 minute drive.

Amazing hotel, beautiful setting and relaxed vibe. Super trendy and great service. Apar**ent was beautiful and the jungle vibe of the hotel resonates throughout. Yes outside the walls are where the locals live, and their huts are bits of wood stapled together, but that’s important to see how the other half live. They are super friendly but the road access leaves something to be desired. All in all- for a luxurious experience at a jungle themed hotel, this really does get a 10/10 for us.

Ophelia was great in many ways! And needs some improvement in others. Pros: super friendly staff and many speak English, great pool, spacious rooms, good AC, quick room service. Cons: no restaurant yet, food was just okay. Leaving requires a taxi or a 5 minute walk down a dirt road. Not a big deal if you don’t mind the walk! The wifi is a little confusing at first and many of the QR codes are too worn to actually work. The rooms were mostly clean but I found some suspicious spots on the walls and doors. Lastly, it was slightly inconvenient to pay for each meal or drink as they do not have a set up to charge to your room. I’m sure many things will be improved over time, as Ophelia has only been in operation for 6 months. I would likely go back for the staff alone! And we enjoyed being a little farther back from the Tulum’s main spots.
