I started out in my younger days staying at 3 star hotels working myself up to 5 star hotels these days. On this recent weekend trip i held back on my post xmas spending and got a great deal at Kore so I took a chance on it despite all the negative reviews. I think the 1 out 5 star ratings are ridiculously unfair. Rooms were big, clean, and comfy. Location was decent and had great views of the sea. I only had breakfast as I like to get out and explore, so I couldn't tell you much about the quality of food. The waiters were good, as soon as I sat down, my coffee was poured. After they recognized I tip, I never had to wait in line to get my omelets...lol. best part was the service from the front desk concierge (the Mexican soap opera looking guy) Victor. Dude was always so nice and helpful. Upon checkout, I had a late flight out, he knew that I love bike riding, so he let me keep my bracelet to have access until my shuttle arrived. I did not experience most of the issues on these reviews. English speaking staff was a challenge, but i found that was an issue everwhere I was in Tulum. Overall, if you were to go by the strict AAA guidelines, this hotel would probably recieve a 3-3.5 rating and closer to a 4 by the generous booking sites. This was no Hyatt, but a good value. Dont let those 1 star ratings discourage you.

Let’s see/ the place looked beautiful online but it was DEAD.
Service is slow and non chalant and they care way more about trying to upgrade you than accommodate you.
I did enjoy the free bicycle but it ended at 6 pm.
It’s a $40 USD cab ride each way to go catch dinner on the hotel zone with others.
The room at a hot tub that only ran cold and takes 40 min to fill.
The tv remote would not switch to English
The ac stopped working at 3 am
They only left 2 bottles of water for whole stay in Mexico where you can’t tap.
The room fan didn’t work
The water pressure was super low.
The water turned off from 4-7 am as in no plumbing !
Oh and I paid for a $75 USD dinner and then proceeded to get extreme food poisoning from it. The phone to call the front desk was not answered till 7 am.
They told me it was probably from a mosquito” and that they could only extend my checkout 1 hour without charging me another $100. I was so sick I couldn’t leave the room. No one came to help w bags. When i did leave at 1 pm the lady was like “you’re my very last checkout” as if it was my fault I got food poisoning at their resort.
The taxi to get to hard rock riviera maya was $108 USD… all around … not a good stay even if the property looks pretty.

真是住了那麼多全包，這個就是最垃圾沒有之一，餐廳衹有一間，沒有沙灘
態度非常非常差！給我們分配了個沒有熱水的房子，和前台溝通無果，衹能讓攜程幫忙溝通，過去了3小時才給我們換了另一間….
真的無敵垃圾，國人避雷！

Booked here bc our friends had a wedding at Papaya down the street. The hotel entry is beautiful, serene. Staff was super friendly. Unfortunately the room wasn’t as clean as we would have hoped and we had two days that the room didn’t get cleaned at all nor the fridge restocked with water. Big and good AC though.
The restaurant the first night was atrocious. It was a steak buffet. The steak was 100% inedible. So much gristle. The we ordered room service later that night to see if it would be satisfactory. It was not. The pasta was bland, the chicken wings were OK, the “beef burger” was like a gas station filler-filled burger. We ended up only doing breakfast via room service there which was also just ok. They advertised breakfasts, like the Americano, to include eggs/meat/fruit/toast/juice/drink but 4 out of 5 times it was served with just the eggs and coffee and meat. Two of the 5 times it was the wrong meat. Pancakes were inedible also. Like thick crepes so they were rubbery.
The pool was not relaxing at all due to a foam party and LOUD party/house/rap music. Not what we were looking for.
My boyfriend ordered captain and cokes, to which the servers said “okay” but the liquor he got was not Captain at all. Scammy.
The room was SO loud. We heard everybody and everything throughout the night. No sound buffers at all. The way the buildings are designed create for super-echo at the entries of the doors. Got woken up a few times by loud groups of drunk women.

Many things on the website were not true. There was no crepery, the in room Jacozzi is unusable because the water trickles in and is cool.

Called for service multiple times, related to access to the safe, they told us we needed to be in our room. We were there for 2 hours and no one still came. At that point it was very late so we stopped waiting.
The balcony area was not recently cleaned, layers of dirt on the chairs and cobwebs.
Staff was friendly. Up keep off the overall properly is not what's presented on the pictures. The pool is missing tiles, limited with towels at the pool. Limited availability of bicycles (10 total), and the property is not close to things so that would be a great option to see things without a car. Overall needs an update, tha all inclusive pay does not reflect the provided amenities.

I wish I could say I had a great time in Tulum, but this hotel wrecked any chance of that. I booked with a large group and sadly we all had a bad experience here over the course of 4 days.
Pros- Lovely pool, bar and waitstaff were very friendly. Breakfast buffet was great.
Cons- Food took 1-2 hours when dining at the restaurant for lunch or dinner. This was very consistent and we dined in small groups at these hours.
Quality of the served food was simply very poor. We tried a different option each day hoping that each unappetizing dish was a fluke, but this was consistent. The last few days we simply had to eat elsewhere.
We had items stolen from our safe in the room and the code changed. I alerted the front desk and then the concierge. They attempted to gaslight me and nothing was done about it, and I have followed up with them many times, before and after leaving the property. After reading reviews, this is a consistent issue.
We were not told that removing the wrist band would be an issue- but one of the girls in our party removed hers and we were nearly not let back into the property after being out for late night drinks, with documentation that we were staying there.
This is upon many other issues- brown water coming from the faucet, being denied drinking water, inconsistent cleaning, many issues with 3rd party booking not aligning with what the property reported on their end.
Will not be back, and sorry to report that I would not recommend anyone else do so either.

The resort is perfect for relaxing and spending some quiet time. The resort itself is very aesthetically pleasing. There are 2 public beaches nearby. The only thing we didn’t like was the food. It tasted stale and bland.

Alberto was the best part of our stay! Amazing entertainmrnt coordinator. The property can stand to provide a daily schedule of events so guest will know what is taking place daily. Also, making sure water is not brown in rooms for proper bathing to take place.
