Worth the price if you’re looking for authentic Japanese food and ryokan experience. Comfy private indoor onsen. The staff are really nice and can communicate in English via good translate. They has a shuttle to Minakami Station when we checked out.

Fenomenal break away from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo and Kyoto. There is nothing more refreshing than a dip in the outdoor onsen followed by the most beautiful and nutritious dinner prepared with local ingredients. This places should be publicised more but then again perhaps its magic still lies in the fact that you need to do your research properly to find it and then make more out of the way arrangements to get there (Shinkansen to Jomokogen but then you have to book a local taxi in advance). The bus day trip from the bus station just outside we took one day to Minakami was also worthwhile. If you are a foreigner and want a real taste of Japanese countryside and onsen life, this is the place ❤️ Thank you to the lovely staff for a wonderful stay!

まず驚いたのは綺麗なお宿だとびっくりしました。いつもホテルの利用ばっかりだったので木の香りのする旅館に感動しました。ピカピカの木のゆかやお部屋のネジネジの枝のオブジェに驚きます。ラウンジでしょうか。スパークリングや日本酒、焼酎、コーヒーのフリードリンクを頂いたあとは無料の貸し切りのお風呂に入ります。2箇所あるのですぐに入れました。夕食は美味しい野菜がいっぱいの食事でした。来年の予約を帰りにしました

利用者本位の宿です、部屋も温泉も清潔で大満足でした。 3月の下旬でしたが、大雪に会いましたが、除雪は完璧でした。 水上温泉が、さびれてしまっているので、お土産などが入手できるコーナーを充実させてほしかった。 過度な宿の干渉もなく、静かに過ごせる日本の宿です。地元の食材を使った、野菜の品質本位の料理は、素晴らしかった。一点、部屋で利用できる飲料水等が、入手しずらい点が問題かな? 野菜メインのお料理もいいけれど、肉・魚の選択しも、あるとお客様にはありがたいのでは。

結婚記念日であけびのお部屋に滞在しました。 お宿の雰囲気、ゆったりした客室、露天風呂が大変良かったのは勿論、スタッフ皆様の細かい心配りや美味しい料理に感動しました！ お部屋はヒノキの香り？がしていい香りでした。 また、ウェルカムドリンクや漫画・雑誌が充実しており、贅沢なマンガ喫茶に来たような気分になりました（笑） 普段口コミは書かないのですが、感動のあまり投稿させて頂きます。また是非宿泊したいと思っています。 素敵な体験をさせて頂き、ありがとうございました！

普段、仕事を休めない私達にとって 今回、選んだ行き先は 水上温泉『尚文の宿』でした🌱😊 決めては お料理と露天風呂付きのお部屋✨ 綺麗な建物、美味しいお料理。 そして、何よりも最高のおもてなしを受けて 気持ちよく貴重な時間を過ごす事が出来ました。 今度は 新緑の季節に🌿 また伺わせて戴きます✨😊 大変お世話になりました、有り難うございました☘️

矛盾するようだけど、とてもリラックスできるのが、かえって非日常体験になる。 立地は温泉街ではない、静かな田舎の中。今回は時期からして、特に、館内・部屋どこにいても目を楽しませてくれる紅葉に包まれていた。ウエルカムドリンクが楽しめる空間がロビー横に存在し、スパークリングワイン・焼酎・日本酒などのアルコール類もある。珈琲は、昼間と朝とでは抽出の仕方の異なるマシーンがあり、気が利いている。食事室は個室となっており、落ち着くが、場合によっては隣の話し声が気になった。 ゆったりとしたメゾネット式の客室に滞在したが、とりわけリラックスルームに隣接する露天風呂は広々として大いにくつろげた。温泉水の循環を利用しているのか、居室全体がふんわりと温かい心地よさがあった。とても掃除が行き届いていた。 食事は、地物の食材を中心とする料理で、派手な豪華さはないが、どれも独自の工夫が施されたもので意外性があり大変楽しめた。一例を挙げれば、夜に出された「土のスープ」は、ごぼう・里芋・菊芋を使用したポタージュで、まさに「土のうま味を味わう」というべき新鮮な体験だった。サーブのタイミングも、こちらの飲酒の進行に合わせて炊き込みご飯の調理時間を合わせてくれるなどこまやか。

喧噪を忘れさせてくれる部屋、癒やしと和みを提供してくれるスタッフ、地元の季節の美味い食材を最善と言える調理で提供してくれる料理人が手を組み、一度に体験できる至極の宿。 離れの部屋は季節によっては外気に触れる通路が気温の影響を受けるが、その先の部屋は静寂に包まれ、物思いに耽るにはこの上ない環境となる。 ここ数年、スタッフさんの多国籍化が進むが、どの方も日本が大好きで流暢な日本語で話し、その愛嬌ある表情や仕草に引き込まれるように話し込んでしまうことと思う。 日本人スタッフさんも地元を愛す方ばかりなので、催し物や旬の食材、観光スポットなどきめ細かく情報を提供いただける。 温泉は大浴場が2つ(2023年10月現在)。共に貸し切り風呂で、30～40分での利用となる。部屋の半露天風呂も十分に広いが、ファミリーやカップルでプライベートで楽しめる大浴場は心も身体も洗われる空間であろう。 多少値は張るが、観光ホテルやビジネスホテルでは決して味わうことのできない上質のもてなしを体験することは旅行の概念をも変えてくれるかも知れない。

この時期になると何度もリピートさせていただいています。 食事も美味しく、量に関するリクエストも受けていただき、ホスピタリティが素晴らしいです。 フリードリンクや本棚、マッサージチェアなど 共用スペースも充実しています。 今回も部屋に長編漫画を持込み、ごろごろしつつ読ませていただきました。 二泊しても全巻読破できなかったのでまた来年来ようと思います。 前回来た時には野生の雉も見られました。 仲間と一緒に来て長居したくなる宿です。
