Voor ons was deze vakantie een fantastische ervaring. We hadden een superior kamer met zeezicht gevraagd. Gezien we te vroeg in de middag waren aangekomen hebben we de kans gehad om de 4 vrije kamers te bezichtigen. Deze waren allen prachtig elk apart ingekleed met smaak. Heel modern. Het bed was zeer comfortabel met zachte kussens. Het terras was tamelijk groot met een verbluffend uitzicht over de zee en de bergen. Wij verbleven in het roze gebouw op de 2de verdieping. Handig was ook de lift die ons vanuit ons gebouw naar het ontbijtbuffet bracht en naar het dakterras met infinity zwembadje weer met een verbluffend uitzicht. Het restaurant van het hotel biedt heerlijke gerechten aan. Enig minpuntje was de temperatuur van het water van de 3 zwembaden. Deze zijn niet verwarmd en het water is fris. De tuinen rond het hotel zijn prachtig. Het strand kan je bereiken langs hier en daar wat trapjes (niet veel trapjes) eventueel ook bereikbaar met de auto. Prachtig strand. Op 5 km bereik je het dorpje Zahara de los Atunes met zijn typische witte huisjes. Veel restaurants veel verse vis. Wij namen graag wat kleinere gerechten om te delen met ons 2.Voor het diner is er voor 20u30 niets open behalve de strandbars. Alles heel lekker. Hier is het 98 % Spaans toerisme zeer weinig buitenlanders.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! STAY AT MELIA NEXT DOOR!! I usually don’t write reviews but the experience was so bad I couldn’t keep it to myself. I booked a junior suite but instead they gave us a regular double room. We complained to the manager and they said that there was nothing wrong, that it was the same room category etc. The staff couldn’t care less and they were quite rude. Basically they just charged me double price for a standard room ( I know because I was traveling with friends and they paid half of the price for the very same room, we were next to each other and according to management we had premium view, hence the 100€ extra.. that’s ridiculous!) Anyway, the service is really poor, the food is horrible and the rooms are really really basic. I have attached the pictures where I thought I would stay and then the real ones. There is a BIG difference! Re the room, the bed is horrible, is small and really hard mattress, they only give you 2 pillows no coffee machine no mini bar NOTHING! Definitely not a “junior suite” standard… I hope you follow my advice and stay somewhere else, seriously this place only worths 10€ per night

A great hotel in a great location. Staff were amazing and polite. Breakfast was plentiful and all that you could ask for. Beautiful beaches and local town is very pretty with restaurants you have to try!

The clerk who checked us in could not have done a better job. Our GPS had led us astray and we called for advice. He totally took charge and used a phone app to get us there. We couldn’t have been happier than we were with his efforts- much thanks!

Beautiful hotel in a gorgeous spot!! Our GPS took us on an inaccessible gated road—and the reception staff talked us thru how to navigate to the hotel (despite our language barrier) and stayed late to accommodate us. Highly recommend! (And breakfast was great!)

Fantastic property with very friendly staff who went above and beyond to ensure we had a good stay. Great location and facilities, plus very clean and surprisingly large rooms.

It was one of the best hotels we have ever been to. The breakfast and the restaurant was great! Great view, clean and beautiful rooms, very goog service and location, overall a great experience that we hope to repeat soon :)

Excellent property. Beautiful grounds. Pool excellent. Service excellent (on a Spanish scale). We travelled off-season, so other restaurants in the area were closed or shorter hours. We had a second floor ocean view room. Worth the stunning sunsets!
