Aminess Vival Velaris Resort ★★★★

"This hotel is a 3 star at best. The rooms are very dated and I agree with the last review regarding the bathrooms. We had a view of the car park. The facilities are awful, a tiny pool area far too small for the size of the resort, with completely inadequate umbrellas, a small bar area stuck in front of reception and absolutely no atmosphere whatsoever (and closed at 11am). The dining room is basically a canteen, and one night we listened to the same Rod Stewart song for 25 minutes on repeat. Outside area is good but most nights weather wasn’t good enough to sit outside. The food was the same every night and quality was very inconsistent. Breakfast is cleared away at 10am on the dot meaning a scramble to get food after 9:40. Raw eggs, stale bread, undercooked vegetables, and soup like dishwater amongst other things we encountered. Several beers listed on the dining room menu most of which were never available. On the plus side the grounds are lovely and the dining room staff are fantastic and a credit to the hotel, but we won’t be staying here again."

"Fantastic hotel, 5 minute walk from the ferry terminal and bus station. The resort is small but makes for a quiet holiday which is exactly what we were looking for. We were upgraded to the harbour suite which is a stunning room, although no balcony, didn’t bother us, just to make others aware. Shower gel and shampoo are Ritual branded and smell lovely. The food is fabulous, breakfast is buffet style and dinner (for half boarders) is chosen off the menu. Really high quality and believe they were Michelin recommended for 2024. They even gave us a breakfast bag as we were checking out very early. The staff are fantastic, very friendly and can’t do enough for you. This was the case from reception, restaurant to the roof top bar. All were great. The rooftop bar was a brilliant place to sit and watch the sunset and the ferry coming and going. The pool is covered and heated with a separate area for sunbathing. There’s also a couple of saunas you can use. The smallest gripe, it would be good to trim the top of the trees which blocked the view from the sun terrace. Would absolutely stay here again for a chilled and relaxing holiday."

"Door een probeem bij het boeken via *******, ben ik niet op dit eiland geraakt en heb ik hier niet kunnen overnachten. Zowel met het hotel als met ******* heb ik geprobeerd een constructieve oplossing te zoeken, hetgeen helaas niet is gelukt. "Mooie camping! We bleven hier tijdens SUP11xCroatia en hadden een prachtige ervaring. Het personeel was uitzonderlijk, vriendelijk, welkom en altijd bereid om te helpen. Een bijzondere dank aan Josipa, Argentino, Michaela, Mihaela en Nikola, die ons verblijf echt onvergetelijk maakten met hun vriendelijkheid en professionalisme. We hebben een mobiele huis gebleven dat modern, spotloos en zeer goed onderhouden was, met alles wat we nodig hadden voor een comfortabel verblijf. De camping is rustig op de nacht en het strand is slechts een paar meter afstand, waardoor de locatie perfect is. Alle voorzieningen waren uitstekende en onverwacht schoon, met inbegrip van het multifunctionele gebouw, sanitaire voorzieningen en wasserij. Ik kijk uit naar Brač en deze prachtige camping nogmaals."

"An absolutely cracking hotel efficiently managed and very clean, every day my room was turned down and refreshed to such a high standard, every day felt like I had just arrived. Can’t fault the staff, very friendly, very quick responses to requests and excellent advice and with an atmosphere of calm and relaxation. A nice set of choices for breakfast and a very good selection of drinks are available. Hot tubs and Jacuzzi, sauna, massage, small but really nice pool, plenty of loungers in the sun and plenty of shade to escape the sun, just a really nice place to relax. The location is great to, a short walk to the beach, shops, plenty of bars and restaurants all offering great value and the ferry for trips back to the mainland at Split. There’s plenty to do if you want a bit of adventure, from island hopping cruises, boat, scooter, quad’s and car hire, scuba diving, fishing trips, quad bike safari, hikes and I’m sure much more. Or you can just do nothing! Relax, and have a very slow and leisurely break from the rat race, quiet bars where you can talk to each other without having to shout over loud music and football on TVs, great choices of coffee, other drinks and cocktails, served by the most friendly people who are always willing to engage in conversation and ready to give tips on where to go and when. As a solo traveler it was nice that the restaurant staff took away the spare chair from my table which was nice to feel respected with consideration."
