La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Sawgrass ★★

"The hotel is very run-down and not well maintained, with an overall old motel-style feel. The room showed several issues, including a door that did not close properly, very old carpeting, a loosely fixed toilet, heavy dust, stained sheets, and visible rust. Cleanliness was a concern, and I would not recommend this property for families or solo female travelers. There appeared to be limited staffing on site, which at times felt uncomfortable despite the presence of security cameras. The staff, however, were the only saving grace. They were genuinely kind, helpful, and clearly doing their best within the limitations of the facility. Breakfast options were extremely limited, consisting mainly of pre-made microwave eggs, a waffle station, and basic breads and bagels. If you are staying one night solely to shop at Sawgrass and need an inexpensive option, this hotel may be acceptable. However, if you are looking to relax or enjoy the hotel itself, this would not be a suitable choice. The pricing is competitive for the area, so it may work for a short, no-frills stay, but expectations should be kept low."

DoubleTree by Hilton Sunrise - Sawgrass Mills ★★★★

La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Sunrise ★★

"Stayed here for 3 nights. The location was pretty good but the service was awful; no one would ever be at the desk, the room smelled god awful, would only clean the room every 3 days (they only made the bed, they didn't even change the sheets or ANYTHING), the carpets were so dirty that it stained our socks brown, no soap was provided and hot water was available for the first 30 seconds of the shower and then it's gone, the elevator was absolutely horrendous and was barely functioning. The elevator would make a random thumping sound and would screech all the time to make your ears pop. Definitely don’t recommend this hotel."
