Ferry Inn ★★★

"The Ferry Inn had comfortable and clean accommodations. Everyone on the staff was incredibly friendly and polite. The location really is just about 1 minute to the ferry terminal which also serves as the bus terminal so all your transport needs are steps away. I would return and stay here in a heart beat. I had a few issues. We stayed in the main building on the top floor. This has 3 issues. 1. The stairs to the top floor (in particular) are quite narrow and steep. I have a bad knee and while i could negotiate those stairs if i had any more serious mobility issues it would have been an issue. 2. The ceiling on the top floor is about 6'2" high. I am 6 foot and the ceiling felt close if I were a taller person it would have been a more serious issue. 3. The wifi was very intermittent in our room. When connected it was quite strong but it dropped a few times an hour."

"Ik was altijd te laat om de Ferry Inn te reserveren voor een avondmaal, maar er is een grote co-op net langs de weg waar je salades en sandwiches kunt krijgen. Ik zou hier zeker weer blijven."

Lindisfarne Bed & Breakfast ★★★

"Alleen een uitstekende verblijf. De gastheer is zo vriendelijk, handig en ingedeeld. De kamers zijn onbevlekt. Eten is heerlijk. Het is een snelle 20 minuten lopen naar het dorpscentrum en de bus is vlak buiten de deur! De bus gaat overal op het eiland. Het is zeer raadzaam om te blijven in Lindisfarne!"

The Stromness Hotel by Paymán Club ★★

"Absolutely disgusting, no housekeeping unless you stay more than 7 night. Breakfast was a shambles and there were flies on the bread and ham. Staff were uninterested and every surface was dirty and greasy. For more than £400 per night (no other accommodation available on the Island). If I wasn't there for work I would not have stayed a second night ."

Stromness Apartments ★★★

"My wife, sister and I stayed here for three nights in Orkney. We stayed in the Meadow View Apartment. It was a positive gem. Two bedrooms both with en-suites and an additional upstairs bathroom. Heaters galore and a well appointed kitchen. The apartment is situated in the countryside just outside Stromness and is quiet. It is a short drive to the neolithic attractions. The owner, Alexander bends over backwards to ensure you are comfortable. I would highly recommend this property. "
