Naxos Palace Hotel ★★★★

"De kamer was prima, maar het bed was verschrikkelijk – de matras was doorgezakt en het hoeslaken was te klein. Elke keer dat je je omdraaide, stak de matras overal uit. De locatie is zo onhandig dat je een auto of de bus nodig hebt, want er is niets in de buurt. We kwamen vroeg aan en ze zeiden dat ze ons een berichtje zouden sturen als de kamer klaar was, maar die is blijkbaar nog steeds niet klaar, want het bericht is nooit aangekomen. Het ontbijt was vreselijk; er was wel variatie, maar geen kwaliteit. Ik zou hier niet meer verblijven en ik raad het niemand aan. Wat betreft het receptiepersoneel: de receptioniste 's ochtends heeft ons niets uitgelegd en ons het beloofde bericht niet gestuurd, en de receptioniste 's middags zat om 18:00 uur in de receptie te eten. Hebben ze geen vaste plek of tijd om te eten?"

"Absolutely horrible customer service! I sent my clients to this hotel as part of a tour of Greece that I put together for them. They were booked in the Seaview Suite and upon arrival in the room found that the room was infested with bugs. They immediately asked for their room to be changed and the hotel moved them but to a regular room with no view like they paid for. When they asked about a refund they were told to talk to their travel agent. When we contacted the hotel they blew us off and said it was your clients choice to change rooms and we will not refund anything. So I guess my clients choice was to sleep in a bug infested room or settle for something much less than what they paid for. We do a lot of travel for clients to Greece and this hotel will never be recommended by our agency. We pride ourselves on providing our clients a memorable vacation and apparently this hotel could care less about their guests!"

"Naxos Rock Villas was geweldig. Ik woonde daar met mijn man en twee kinderen van 12 en 17 jaar eind juli/Eerder augustus. De villa waar we woonden was Apollo. Het had 3 slaapkamers, 3 badkamers, een woonkamer, keuken en een prachtige buitenruimte met een prachtig zwembad en de meest verbazingwekkende uitzichten. De eigendomsmanager/Eigenaar Spyros was verbazingwekkend. Verkijkend, zorgvuldig en professioneel. De schoonmaakbemanning was ook geweldig. Ze hielden de villa zeer schoon, organiseerd en ze zouden ons zelfs elke dag ontbijt pasta brengen! We hadden het beste tijd en maakten geweldige herinneringen."

Naxian Utopia | Luxury Villas & Suites ★★★★

"Unless you have a car, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. It’s about a 15 minute walk to the small beachfront town, which is the closest civilization. The walk is quite perilous during the daytime with no sidewalks or shoulder and speeding cars, trucks & buses. A 3 minute taxi ride to the beach town is 20 Euros each way. So $40 Euros just to get to & from the small town. The hotel abuts a water park which thankfully was closed for the season. But when it’s operational during the summer, I can’t imagine the noise from the traffic (dirt roads) and kids. Why would you choose to stay inland, looking at dirt and rocks, when you’re visiting an island? There are plenty of nice hotels near the water and in Naxos City. On the plus side, our spacious suite was nicely appointed and very clean and modern with a beachy vibe. (The private pool with our suite was a nice size, but not very private since the main pool was right above and people could and did look down to check us out and say Hi.) The staff was helpful and the breakfast buffet was good, with a really great coffee machine."
