5-Starhotels in Athene

Excellent location, right in the heart of Athens. The room was exactly as shown in the photos (family room), spacious and fully equipped. Amenities in the room were of high quality (loved the scent of the toiletries!). Extra comfy bed, duvet and pillows. Highly recommended for stay! The only thing that could be improved is the breakfast. From a famous restaurant like Milos, I expected something better in quality and taste. The quantities were ok, but lacking in quality. The bread was not warm, the fruit plate poor (tangerine, pear and kiwi) and the omelet indifferent, no taste at all. We didn't dine at the restaurant, so not sure whether it had to do with breakfast or with the meals in general. Very helpful staff, though.

Dit hotel is gewoon goddelijk! Het is gloednieuwe constructie. De kamers, bed, airconditioning zijn geweldig. Het restaurant op het dak met uitzicht op Athene is een van de beste delen van het hotel. Het eten is heerlijk. De service is uitzonderlijk. Het ochtendontbijt is het beste ontbijt dat ik ooit in een hotel heb gehad. De ontbijtzaal met buitentuin is sereen en een geweldige ervaring. De enige minpunten zijn: 1) Het zwembad is koud en niet verwarmd 2) Het hotel ligt ver weg van het gewilde gebied Plaka of Monastiraki. $ 15 euro per taxi of 1 uur lopen.

Het hotel was over het algemeen geweldig. Ze namen vóór aankomst geen contact met ons op om te vragen of alles in orde was of hulp nodig hadden bij het hotel. Ik ben andere 5-sterrenhotels tegengekomen die dat wel doen. Bij aankomst waren ze erg vriendelijk en informatief. Er werd een borg van 60 euro per dag gevraagd voor de minibar, waar ze de gasten niet van tevoren over hadden geïnformeerd. Dat had gemakkelijk vermeden kunnen worden. De kamer was schoon en er waren voldoende voorzieningen. We hadden wat problemen met de prullenbak en de douchegel moest na de eerste dag worden bijgevuld, maar daar werd direct actie op ondernomen. De sportschool is goed en goed uitgerust. De locatie is niet slecht, ongeveer 20 minuten van het dichtstbijzijnde metrostation Neos Cosmos en ongeveer 30 minuten lopen naar het Syntagmaplein. De uitstraling van het hotel is prachtig, er is een goede bar en club in het hotel. De roomservice was dagelijks beschikbaar en efficiënt.

Het hotel ligt op een geweldige locatie! De hygiënische omstandigheden moeten goed zijn! De bediening is ook attent! Zal het in de toekomst aanbevelen aan vrienden! De receptie zei dat de prijs van Ctrip de slechtste was, dus ik moest meer betalen! De t****e nacht voegde 130 euro toe. Het wordt aanbevolen dat Ctrip de prijzen in de toekomst nauwkeuriger maakt en de kamers gedetailleerder introduceert! Als we bijvoorbeeld een badkuip nodig hebben, moeten we dit duidelijk markeren, zodat we ons niet hoeven te schamen als we bij het hotel aankomen! !

Review for NYX Esperia Palace Athens – Luxurious Stay with a Few Caveats We stayed at NYX Esperia Palace Athens for four full days – two couples, each in an Executive Suite with access to the business lounge. The welcome was warm and efficient, and we received our rooms exactly at 3:00 PM, as per hotel policy. The suites were clean, stylish, and well-equipped with amenities such as disposable toothbrushes, shaving kits, loofahs, a hairdryer, and more. One of our suites, located on the 7th floor, even had a partial view of the Acropolis, which was a lovely bonus. The room’s climate, lighting, and curtains were all operated through digital controls, designed to pamper guests — although, in practice, they were not very intuitive and required a bit of trial and error. For instance, turning off the bedside light required getting up and walking to a control panel. The TV included Israeli channels (11, 12, and 13), which we appreciated. Breakfast on the 10th floor was excellent, offering a wide variety of high-quality options, and the waiter service was above average. One of the highlights of our stay was the exceptional care provided by Ilia, the hotel's Public Relations Manager. She guided us almost from the moment we arrived until we left — recommending excellent tavernas, booking taxis, restaurants, and arranging a private guided tour. On our last day, we were also warmly greeted by Dionysia in the lounge — charming and attentive. That said, there were some drawbacks: Reception service was inconsistent – not all staff members were welcoming; some appeared cold or offered forced smiles. The business lounge was disappointing – small, crowded, with modest food and drink offerings and uninspiring seating. It felt more like a repurposed room than a proper lounge. The pools require advance reservation, with no room for spontaneity. Usage hours are segmented (e.g., 1–4 PM or 4–7 PM), and spots after 7 PM are very limited. The rooftop pool area is crowded, and the adjacent restaurant is also open to non-guests. Rooftop restaurant experience: One evening we returned from a night out and hoped to enjoy a drink with a view. Although two front-row tables overlooking the Acropolis were available, we were initially told they were reserved. Minutes later, we were informed we could sit there for a €25 minimum spend per person. The sudden shift from ”reserved” to ”available for a price” was off-putting — especially as hotel guests staying in suites. The guided tour recommended by the hotel involved nearly 4 hours of driving during a 5-hour trip, leaving us with very little time at each stop. We suggest skipping it. Bottom line: The hotel is modern, very clean, and the suites are luxurious. Service is mostly excellent, particularly thanks to Ilia and Dionysia. However, don't count on spontaneous access to the pool or rooftop restaurant — enjoying those requires planning ahead, much like booking a theater show. If you value well-designed suites and structured experiences, this hotel may be a great fit. If you’re looking for flexibility and full-day pampering from hotel facilities — you might find it a bit limiting.

Over het algemeen was dit hotel goed, vooral de vriendelijkheid! Hoewel we daar slechts één nacht bleven (we zouden de volgende ochtend aan boord van de cruise moeten gaan), was de receptioniste, Efie, zeer behulpzaam bij het vertellen van hoe we bij de haven konden komen en deed extra kilometers bij het regelen van de transportgegevens voor ons. Ook was het ontbijt daar bevredigend - hoewel de variëteit aan eten precies zo was, was het personeel zeer efficiënt in het bijvullen, dus alle warme dingen werden lekker gevonden. Wat betreft de kamer, deze was schoon en netjes. De netheid van de badkamer was lovenswaardig (ik weet maar al te goed dat ik erg kieskeurig ben op het gebied van toilethygiëne)。 Als ik Athene van Griekenland opnieuw zou bezoeken, zal dit hotel mijn prioriteit krijgen.

Location excellent, room comfortable and have all facilities needed, the only problem is the bad smell in the corridor floor number three, maybe because the maintenance room and laundry room are on the same floor, hopefully they can avoid that smell. For sure, i will visit again. Overall good hotel.

Het hotel ligt vlak bij een metrostation, waardoor u gemakkelijk en veilig kunt wandelen. Aan de overkant van de straat vindt u restaurants en een 24-uurs bakkerij. De kamer is schoon, goed verwarmd en beschikt over handdoeken, slippers, douchegel, etc. Er is echter geen tandpasta of tandenborstel aanwezig, dus die moet u zelf meenemen.

The staff in the hotel are extremely lovely and they try their best to make the trip as enjoyable as possible. Matina is wonderful and just brings a smile to my face everytime I enter and exit the hotel. Elina was so kind to extend my checkout time despite the hotel being fully booked. Last but not least, the breakfast staff were so patient and always polite and lovely. Otherwise of course the hotel requires maintenance and the area is too crowded as any populated city, so if you go with the right expectations you will enjoy your trip, otherwise if you have high expectations I recommend booking somewhere else.

Absolutely loved my time in this hotel! Had a great time, amazing poo, incredible roof top restaurant, the most iconic view possible ever in all of Athens with a beautiful setting!! Could not have asked for more!! totally loved it would definitely come back :) Also loved the set out, all of the marble, the foyer and the staff were amazing to me and the restaurant team really did a lot to look after me and my dietary sensitivities!! Mega love to all who looked after me and massive massive thanks!!
