4-Starhotels in Tokyo

De afslag JR West is heel dichtbij! Maar de lift is bij de oostelijke uitgang^_^ Naast Tokyo Dome zijn de prijzen heel vriendelijk als er geen concerten zijn. Het is erg handig om naar Shinjuku en Harajuku JR te gaan. Om naar Ginza of Otemachi te gaan, loopt u een paar minuten naar de ingang van de metro. Na 2-3 haltes bent u bij het metrostation. Akihabara 2 JR-stations!

The hotel stay is wonderful. The hotel is huge with an enormous lobby, looks sleek, and is classy with the dim light. The lobby is located at 20th floor, no comments on the bf as I only booked the room without bf. Check in and out are effortless. Staff is friendly and approachable. Amenities in room are plentiful and abundant. All shampoo, conditioner and bath lotion come in big bottles so it is more than sufficient for use. Inside bathroom, you can control the volume and listen to the TV you on outside so it is very useful. In room has the Alexa which you can easily communicate with it for anything of interest to you. Besides, the hotel is very conveniently located, near to Shinjuku station and the nearby shopping malls. The room is huge and comes with bathtub and it has a balcony area too. Highly recommended for staying here in Tokyo. You will not regret definitely!

Het hotel was erg schoon en gelegen in het hart van Shibuya. Station Shibuya lag op de derde verdieping, waardoor het erg handig en bereikbaar was. Het ontbijt in het hotel was ook goed. Ik zou hier zeker weer verblijven de volgende keer dat ik naar Japan kom.

Het hotel is erg nieuw en het ontbijt is erg uitgebreid. Het ligt heel dicht bij het station van Shinjuku, op slechts vijf minuten lopen. Er zijn veel restaurants, incheckrestaurants van internetberoemdheden en restaurants waar de lokale bevolking vaak incheckt hotel ligt zeer dicht bij het hotel. Winkelen is ook erg handig. De kamer is zeer comfortabel, redelijk geprijsd en een zeer kosteneffectief hotel. Ik zal dit hotel kiezen de volgende keer dat ik ga winkelen in Tokio!

Ik maakte me zorgen omdat het wat ver van het stadscentrum en het metrostation lag, maar het was erg handig omdat de shuttlebus en de stadsbus vlakbij waren, en het was geweldig omdat er grote winkelcentra en supermarkten in de buurt waren. De omgeving voelde ook aan als een pas gevormde stad, dus het was ideaal voor een ochtendwandeling. Er was met name een shuttlebus naar Ginza en station Tokio, dus ik kon overal naartoe. Buiten de shuttletijden reed er een stadsbus naar Ginza, wat handig was, en het was fijn om even bij de Tsukichi-markt te stoppen en halverwege de stad bezienswaardigheden te bekijken. Volgend jaar, als mijn kleinkinderen wat ouder zijn, ben ik van plan om hier met mijn zoon en schoondochter te verblijven en naar Disneyland te gaan.

Hotel location was ideal. It was relatively near to the Shimbashi station and Ginza station. Lots of shops around Ginza that are few minutes walk away. Noted the room had a pamphlet for ¥1000 should we not request for room service. Throughout the 6 nights, no one offered the voucher which was weird as I stayed at the Lively, Osaka and was offered the voucher upfront upon check in. Understand it might be a different process and procedure but if there was going to be a voucher, it should have been more upfront and transparent. On the 4th night, requested for bottled water and was seemingly questioned if I requested for room service which i denied and was given a rather doubtful look. Not the best experience with the agent but was a pleasant stay nonetheless.

Love this hotel! Such a cute French vibe.  - Fantastic location - shops, restaurants, combini, transport (Tokyo station/ginza station)  - Safe: need hotel key card to use elevator - Spacious: 2 people can open their baggage comfortably - Clean: housekeeping does such a great job, and because it’s spacious you can keep your stuff away and you can get your room cleaned every day. Even pyjamas are changed daily.   - Amenities: loved the selection amenities that you’re open to take on a daily basis from the front desk. Refa hair dryer, and a Mirabel (?) shower head that I later learned cost $400. - Others: There is a microwave in the lobby you can use, you’re able to store luggage with the hotel if you need, apparently there is ice at the front desk based on the info sheet but didn’t use.  Improvement points - because the shower head is new, it didn’t sit on the stand nicely so you need to hold it when showering. Check the plumbing - can have an unpleasant smell after taking shower.

A lovely hotel that I would stay at again. I booked the bunk bed, which my roommate and I felt really comfortable in. Staff were quite friendly and most understood/could speak English. It says self check-in on the booking page but there was someone present to help us through the check-in process. Note that there's an accommodation tax (900 yen per person) that needs to be paid on check-in. Since we stayed for more than five days, they did full housekeeping (changing bedsheets) for two out of the eight days. However, they also were able to provide fresh towels and clear trash daily (we just put their provided magnetic notice on the door and left the items at the entryway). Showers were small, but amazing. They provide a day's worth of toothpaste, a toothbrush, a hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, an electric kettle, a microwave, plates, utensils, cups, scissors, detergent, and two pairs of room slippers. There was an HDTV (with an HDMI port) that we directly connected to Netflix (no need to logout) as well. This hotel is about an 8 minute walk away from Ryogoku station and 11 mins from Asakusa station. If you have a really physical day or have hefty luggage, then this might feel a bit far, but the area generally feels safe, and you get to cross the bridge over the Sumida river to/from Asakusa, which is nice. Other things to note: There is one shared washing machine for the whole hotel that's free to use, and it takes about 2H per wash and tumble dry cycle. There was no quick wash setting. We had to do ours in the wee hours because other guests were quicker to use them in the ”prime” hours (7-9am and 8pm-12mn). A QR code and/or number code is used to unlock your door's digital lock. It's also used for checkout, so save the sheet of paper they issue. Otherwise, remember to take a picture as there's no service staff after a certain time and they will lock the doors to the entrance where the only way to get in is the issued code. Someone pressed the fire alarm accidentally one morning, which brought the fire department, ambulance and police to the hotel and the alert was deafening and heard neighbourhood-wide. Look carefully before you press/lean on a surface - there's no covering on the alarm button, but it is in the centre of a giant red circle. It was an eventful morning but we did not enjoy running down and climbing up 8-storeys worth of stairs (they shut the elevators in emergencies). Overall, a relaxing, cool vibe that feels clean and cozy.

De kamer was schoon en comfortabel en lag vlakbij verschillende metrostations. Bekende bezienswaardigheden zoals Azabudai en de Tokyo Tower waren op 15 minuten loopafstand.

De locatie was goed, ongeveer 15 minuten lopen vanaf station Shinjuku! De kamer was klein, maar werd elke dag schoongemaakt. Ik kwam er rond 13.00 uur en ze hielpen me vriendelijk om eerder in te checken, wat erg fijn was :)
