It also has what we lovingly refer to as the ¼ bathroom down stairs. There is a full sized and well stocked kitchen, with attached dining room and a comfortably furnished living room. There is a desk to one side for those who need to bring a little work along on the trip. There are 2 queen beds and 1 full bed. There are also two fold away mattresses. This place comfortably sleeps 8 people. All of the beds and bedding are new and of a high quality. This place is in the downtown Nauvoo district and is minutes away from all of the historical sites. You can walk to the temple and take it all in. This cozy home sits on 3 acres giving plenty of privacy to your family or group.This home is great for your family or group gathering! There are 4 bedrooms, two with queen size beds and two with twin bunk beds. The bedrooms with the bunk beds also have lofts with full size mattresses. The lofts are great for kids or small adults and are enclosed with a secure railing. Must be able to climb a ladder and comfortable in small spaces to use the lofts. Two pack-n-play cribs also available for babies.There is parking on property however the driveway is only a single car width for most of its length. There is lots of area outside for kids to run and play!Entire home, fully furnished with laundry and pack-n-play cribs. Guests may use the large yard for tents if they would like.This is an older rural country home with a few “character” quirks. We have worked very hard to convert the home to a great bnb experience. You’ll be comfortable and have your privacy. There is a fire pit in the yard for campfires. There is also a charcoal BBQ available, however guests will need to provide their own charcoal and firestarter.The nearest stores are located about 6 minutes away in Fort Madison, IA. There is a toll of $4 in one direction and free toll in the other direction. This genteel old lady was built in 1842 and she has good bones! The house is in the middle of all that historic Nauvoo has to offer, with the added benefit of being across the street from Dollar General and Casey's pizza. As with most old houses, there is one bathroom which is clean and spacious and on the ground floor. All of the furnishings are new. There is a large and inviting living room with plenty of space to spread out. There are three bedrooms - one very large - that are all tastefully furnished and have new mattresses. The biggest bedroom can hold more sleepers if needed. The smallest bedroom (the 'Toblerone' room) is ideal for our littlest guests with its quirky shape and fort-like possibilities. There is an outside deck where you can watch life go by but perhaps not in the winter. There is a laundry room on the main floor. There are two parking spaces at the back. On a more sentimental note, there are some original Nauvoo temple stones incorporated into the building as door lintels and windowsills. A gentle reminder that there is no smoking, vaping, alcohol or drugs permitted. Please do not bring your pets. Please note that this is an old house.
