"Title: Squeaky Clean and Good Storage, But Be Aware of Strict Cashless Fees and Missing Essentials Review: I recently stayed at the Sotetsu Fresa Inn Kobe Sannomiya. While the hardware of the hotel is good, certain policies and service gaps significantly impacted the comfort of my stay. On the positive side, the hygiene standards here are excellent. The room was spotless and very modern, which is always the most critical factor for me when traveling. I also want to express my appreciation for the luggage keeping arrangement. Being able to store my bags securely and easily both before check-in and after check-out was a huge help, allowing me to explore Kobe freely without the burden of heavy luggage. However, international travelers need to be aware of a major caveat: this is a strictly ”cashless” hotel. I attempted to pay with cash to avoid bank fees, but was refused. I was forced to use my VISA card, which meant I was hit with foreign transaction and exchange fees that amounted to roughly an extra 5% cost on my trip. I found this policy very rigid and frustrating for guests who prefer using cash. Furthermore, the in-room amenities and service were disappointing. Guests should know that the rooms are completely bare of essentials—there are no razors, toothbrushes, or toothpaste provided in the room. Realizing this late at night caused unnecessary trouble. Additionally, the housekeeping service lacked attention to detail; even though my Yukata (sleepwear) was clearly used and left out to be changed, the staff did not replace it with a fresh one. Overall, Sotetsu Fresa Inn offers a very clean environment, but the lack of basic in-room amenities and the strict payment policy make it difficult for me to fully recommend it to travelers trying to manage their budget and convenience."

"Very close to Kobe International Convention Center. Not very close to most tourist spots if you are typical tourist wanting to enjoy Kobe. Walking distance to IKEA"

"The location is so strategic and I had a good stay. The room is pretty, bed is comfortable, and they have free water and coffee from 11:00~6:00. The amenities is a bit lacking (there’s no face lotion, hair ties and stuffs), and they have hair iron but I have to take it to the receptionist by myself (usually they deliver stuffs like this to your room). But overall, it was a good stay and worth the money I guess."

"A nice and clean budget stay. Nice staff service. Happy to find a nice and clean microwave oven when I just needed one. All guests are civilized in all aspects. No noise at all at night although many clients sharing a same room. In summary, a nice and comfortable one-night short stay for me."

"The hotel was actually in the opposite side of the JR station and was difficult to locate using Google map. I walked to the Roynet premier hotel and was given a map to walk back to this hotel. It was not the usual standard of the Roynet group, but breakfast was good."

There was no choice other than Indian food, mostly carbs and not ideal for starting the day. The hotel website should clearly mention that breakfast is limited to Indian cuisine."

"Dit is een lokaal hotel met een lange geschiedenis, maar het is zeer goed onderhouden en schoon. Het hotel biedt zowel kamers in Japanse als westerse stijl, beide uitstekende keuzes. Het grote openbare bad op de vijfde verdieping is erg comfortabel; toen wij er verbleven, was het niet druk in het hotel, dus we hadden het badhuis praktisch elke dag voor onszelf. Er is een kabelbaan op minder dan 1 kilometer van het hotel, die gemakkelijke toegang biedt tot Mount Rokko. Er is ook een leuk zomerfestival in de buurt 's avonds."
