2-Starhotels in Mueang Surat Thani District

This really is a 10/10 place. My husband and my favourite place we’ve stayed, this trip to Thailand. We’ve already decided we want to come back, with friends, next time. We wanted a place to cut our drive to Bangkok and had no idea Sarat Thani and the surrounding area had so much to offer. Mr. Pongsak, the owner, could not be more lovely. He is so thoughtful and invested in making sure everyone who stays has the best experience and shares his knowledge of the area and all the things there are to do and see. We drove a rented car, and found it sooooo peaceful and relaxing to be there. And so close to get to town, markets and lots of yummy foods. We cannot wait to share this gem with friends and try the other cabins. The pond with all its fish is a gorgeous water feature too. They opened in 2025 and are building a third cabin. They are modern and still so charming and relaxing. Cannot wait til we can return on our next trip. My only concern is that it is such a great spot and is going to be so popular, we will need to book well in advance next time! Thank you for everything. See you next time, Mr. Pongsak and family.

Понравился отель. 3 минуты рядом 7/11 и Lotus . Номер чистый, отличный балкон на воду в люксах. Наш рейс перенесли, поэтому прибыли после 20.00. Ресепшн был закрыт. Позвонили по телефону , через 3 минуты , нам принесли ключ. Спасибо за отличный отдых.

Goed hotel, maar er is geen lift. Rustig in de nacht. Ik heb de plastic kast niet gevonden. De taxi voor het hotel is 500 baht. Ze hebben niets over het shuttle gesproken. Er is een fantastische busverbinding naar de luchthaven voor 100 baht 10 minuten lopen. Talat, Mueang Surat Thani District, Surat Thani 84000

This hotel is great. It’s very well looked after. Rooms are modern, very clean. Staff are nice and friendly. Free breakfast and coffee in the morning. Parking on hotel car park also. We used this hotel after a Visa Run from Ranong. As we were travelling from Ranong to Koh Samui, we spent a night in Papangkorn house and it was great, I will stay again.

This is a nice little resort, located near the hill with fantastic view. The price is budget and the room is of good standard (there is a kettle even in a standard room). The area is nice and quiet. The bathroom is clean and the water is strong and warm. The receptionist is not always at the front so check-in and check-out can be slow. However, overall this is worth the price and I don't mind staying there again.

We stopten twee keer, vóór de veerboot naar Phangan en daarna. De ligging is gunstig in het centrum, dijk, Riddermarkt, 7-11, alles is dichtbij. De eerste keer dat we in een grote deluxe kamer verbleven, was alles in orde, de t****e keer dat we in een kleinere kamer verbleven, voelde het alsof daar iemand rookte. Water, koelkast, airconditioning, alles is aanwezig. Er waren geen luidruchtige buren. Qua prijs-kwaliteitverhouding is het uitstekend geschikt om op reis te stoppen en te slapen.

A very reasonably priced hotel with clean and comfy room and small balcony. The location is just over the bridge the other side from the main town but it is quite peaceful and very easy to access the night markets. I would recommend renting a moped or even a bicycle would be fine. If you visit, walk down to the waterfront near the crossroads bar and you might see a big monitor lizard in the tree. Also I recommend a little trip to Koh Lamphu which is a little island you can go around on foot or bicycle. Next to the entrance there is a little food market which opens at night. A perfect way to experience a bit of local Thai life.
