2-Starhotels in Bangkok

First time to Bangkok. Room/ place: It's a small boutique hotel, very colourful inside. Take note no lifts available. Check in time hotel staff helped to carry up luggages. If you bought a lot of things might be challenging to climb down the stairs. Room type in my opinion is studio shoebox size, small. Service: good. Cleaning done once every two days. Basic amenities like toiletries towel water given. Location: very very good. Walking distance to Siam BTS/ Siam district and also Ratchethewi BTS. Approx 10m walk to Platinum Fashion mall/ Centralworld etc Others: order grab if after 10 main gates will be closed can only ask driver put outside main gate. Overall satisfied 3 days stay

Het hotelmanagement is redelijk, het bedienend personeel is vriendelijk en ze zullen je helpen relevante zaken te regelen. De kamer is schoon en netjes, en ik heb geweldige huisgenoten ontmoet. Ik kom de volgende keer terug!

The hostel is very modern and generally clean. The staff are very accommodating. The bed I was assigned to had a broken towel rack and ants around the bed and the staff immediately agreed to switch beds for me. While there were fewer ants at the new bed, there was a baby cockroach running around the locker portion of the bed. It was late and my last night when I saw the cockroach so I didn't bother asking for a change but I do think better pest control could be something the hostel should look into.

Perfect stay at this Hostel. I stayed in a private double room which was very spacious and clean. The price of 900THB per night is completely fair and valid. The staff made it easy to extend my stay here and were always very helpful. They also have great amenities like laundry and a kitchen. One thing on the downside is that the doors are not sound proof at all and you can here if your neighbor closes their door. Thanks for having me, i'll come back soon!

The hotel i believe need major renovation as it is old already although it is clean and the CR is i think newly renovated on my room. Service is average but the reception is nice and helpful. She (Judy) can speak good english and show me where the short direction going to Phya Thai BTS station (thru the train tracks). For location, it is far as it is located at the far end of the street. Around 15-20min walk from Platinum and 10min walk from main Pratuman market. It is quite an walking exercise if you would not mind since i think it is the cheapest hotel in that area (if not one of the cheapest).

Ik woonde 5 nachten op 2 bedden vrouwelijke slaapkamer. De kamer was schoon, ook een kleine pantry biedt gratis koffie en gratis water fles elke dag. Toiletten voorzieningen bieden ook tandenborstel en douchecap. Eerste verdieping voor wasgoed. De omliggende buurt was prachtig. Er was morgen- en nachtmarkt met alle lokale Thai Food, super goedkoop prijs, goede smaak, vriendelijke en hulpvolle Thai mensen. Ga 5 minuten, kunt u BTS Ratc hatewi, of chalengge jezelf te nemen Public Bus. De routes signaal is duidelijk. Blend goed, absorbeer de gastvrijheid van Thailand. Kop kun ka.🙏

Decent budget hotel. But reception area was full of boxes and people working on packing deliveries for another business. It was good for a one night stay. Close to train station for airport link.

Merry V Guesthouse is located in the 'extension' street of Khao San Road. Good location. It's very, very basic. Just a small room with a bed. The bed is hard and the pillow was very hard. When I requested at the reception to provide me a softer pillow, it was refused. In the room there are many big open windows (there is no glass, just mosquito gaze) on the upper part, which are not covered by curtains (see photo) and light/might disturb you. The Thai ******* in the next room was inconsiderate and unrespectful. Talking as lot and music from mobile. It's not the hotel's fault, because the put signs everywhere 'don't make noise, others are sleeping'. But it was overall OK. A private room for a small amount of money. Thanks! 🙏

Algemene ervaring: Dit hotel is een prima optie, vooral als je even wilt ontsnappen aan de drukte van de stad. De kamer op het dak die ik had geboekt was ongelooflijk ruim en gezellig, perfect voor een ontspannen avond, zelfs toen het regende. De locatie is een beetje lastig, met geen parkeergelegenheid en een smal steegje naar de ingang, maar het is de moeite waard vanwege de rust en stilte. Het hoogtepunt was absoluut de kamer op het dak. Het voelde zo open en comfortabel aan. De openluchtbadkamer is echter misschien niet voor iedereen weggelegd, vooral niet voor mensen die verlegen zijn. Voor mij was het helemaal prima. Houd er wel rekening mee dat er geen lift is, en als je op de 6e verdieping zit zoals ik, wees dan voorbereid op een flinke klim! Het is een goed idee om snacks en drankjes mee te nemen om niet te vaak op en neer te hoeven lopen. Het uitzicht vanuit de kamer op de bovenste verdieping was werkelijk fantastisch. Het was een geweldige beloning na de klim. haha! P.s. Ik zou dit hotel aanraden aan iedereen die een unieke en rustige ervaring wil en het niet erg vindt om een ​​beetje te klimmen om bij de kamer te komen. Het uitzicht en de kamer op het dakterras zijn fantastisch. :)

I met other travelers there, which made my stay more enjoyable. The overall atmosphere of the hostel is friendly and welcoming, perfect for solo travelers or small groups. While the hostel is budget-friendly, it doesn’t compromise on comfort or cleanliness. The only minor downside was occasional noise from neighboring rooms, but this is understandable in a hostel setting. In conclusion, I would highly recommend Ploy Hostel to anyone looking for affordable, clean, and centrally located accommodation. It offers a warm and social environment, making it ideal for travelers who want both convenience and a chance to meet new people. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip.
