Absolutely great location! Convenient for shopping at Myeongdong district and get to the airport via airport shuttle. For light traveller who can cope with tiny room, I would recommend staying at this hostel if you are mostly outside visiting places. Also. for light sleeper. I would recommend bringing ear plugs with you as the noise isolation is so so.

De locatie is het grootste voordeel. De netheid van de omgeving is veel beter dan ik had verwacht. Er werken veel mensen aan de balie, sommige zijn erg vriendelijk en sommige zijn niet warm, maar ze kunnen allemaal passende hulp bieden. Persoonlijk vind ik dat het bed en de kussens voor mij niet geschikt zijn om op te slapen, maar dit is heel persoonlijk. Ik reis elke dag naar buiten, behalve om te slapen, en de tijd dat ik in het hostel verblijf is minder dan tien uur. Voor mensen die gewoon een plek nodig hebben om uit te rusten, is dit een goede plek met een uitstekende locatie en een schone algehele omgeving. Ik zou hier weer verblijven als ik slechts een korte tijd op reis was. Als u heel ontspannen bent en wilt genieten van hotelfaciliteiten, verhoogt u uw accommodatiebudget.

The room was a bit bigger than I expected. We booked a quad room on the top floor, and as soon as you open the door, there's a staircase, which felt a little dangerous. The stairs are quite narrow overall. You can only take the elevator to the 4th floor, which was a minor inconvenience since it's a service elevator not really for guests. Other than that, everything was great. The room had an international power strip, two shower heads at different heights, and a large balcony. The room was also very clean! The shared space on the first floor had a microwave, hot water, and a scale. Most importantly, the location is excellent! 👍 I'd definitely stay here again!

The location is not bad, a 3-5 minute walk away from the nearest metro station and a 30-40 minute commute for many of the biggest tourist locations, like Myeongdong or Hongdae. The area is home to many older residents, so please do be mindful of that when visiting! There is a CU and GS25 nearby, along with a few coffee shops and restaurants. The hotel cleanliness was ok, the walls were somewhat beat up and require a new paint job, and the bathroom is ... interesting. It is primarily clean, nothing to be very shocked about. The bathroom quality is odd though. The bathtub drain is just there for decoration, as the water goes straight through the drain and into a drain on the floor. The shower-head, when hung up on the holder, sprays directly forward onto the wall, and not yourself. This is not the best quality, but it definitely is manageable and not much of an inconvenience. The hotel staff were all very nice, and spoke enough English to understand. Room service would come whenever asked for and provided the room with simple amenities, like cooled water bottles, hygiene products, hair-ties, and other similar products. The location does not have any clothes washer, so you are instructed to get your items cleaned at a nearby laundromat. Providing an authentic cultural experience, you could say. 

First off, it's important to know that although it's called a ”hotel,” this is definitely a hostel—and they really should update the name to avoid confusing guests. Location: The location is great—central and easy to access, with public transportation and convenience stores nearby. That was definitely a plus. Service: Service was mixed. One staff member was super helpful and made me feel supported during my stay. Unfortunately, another staff member was the complete opposite—he seemed unwilling to help, often saying ”no” to simple questions or requests just because he didn’t feel like putting in the effort. It made some interactions feel frustrating. Cleanliness & Staff: The cleaning staff were wonderful—very patient and kind. The place felt generally clean, and I appreciated their attention to detail. Amenities: I liked that there were lockers for bags, but I really wish there was a more secure luggage storage area. The current luggage space is in the hallway, which is accessible to the public, and that made me a bit uneasy. A locked closet or private room for luggage would be much better. The shared kitchen was a nice touch, and the two-bedroom bunk bed option worked well for me. That said, the room itself was very small barely any space to store your belongings. One of my favorite features was the small individual lockers in the bedrooms. It gave me peace of mind knowing my important items were locked away safely. Overall: This is a decent place for budget travelers who prioritize location and don’t mind hostel-style accommodations. Just manage your expectations and secure your belongings.

De locatie van het hotel is gemakkelijk te vinden, dicht bij de metro, en het personeel zal vriendelijk en behulpzaam zijn als u problemen ondervindt. De zelfincheckautomaat is beschikbaar in vier talen en er zijn ook verschillende QA's ter referentie, wat erg handig is. Deze keer verbleef ik in een vierpersoonskamer. Elke kamer heeft een aparte badkamer. Het nadeel is dat de warmwaterdruk wat laag is. Ik weet niet zeker of dit in elke kamer het geval is. Er was een lichte muffe geur toen ik de kamer binnenkwam, maar deze verdween nadat ik de airconditioner had aangezet. Ik heb geen allergische symptomen. Het bed heeft een behoorlijke omvang, niet te hard. Ik verbleef vier nachten. Over het algemeen was de ervaring redelijk goed en de prijs was erg goedkoop. Ik zal hier weer verblijven als ik de kans heb.

Locatie: In Seocho-gu, ongeveer 40 minuten rijden van waar je kunt spelen Er staat beneden een bus voor de deur als je naar buiten gaat, en er is een metro binnen een paar honderd jaar lopen. Ik heb dit adres gegoogled, maar er stond geen hotelbordje bij de deur, dus het was lastig om het te vinden. Ik vroeg voorbijgangers om hulp, maar ze konden het niet vinden! Eindelijk zag ik huisnummer 130 en ging naar binnen. Het negatieve is de Thaise massage. Ik heb twee nachten achter elkaar verschillende pakketten geprobeerd. Het is waar dat de Thaise dame het geluid van het hele bot kan horen rinkelen. Het hostel ligt op de 3e verdieping, er is geen lift De receptie is onlangs gerenoveerd, de receptie is nog niet klaar en er ligt nog een stapel decoratiemateriaal bij de receptie, dus inchecken is heel eenvoudig: vertel het personeel gewoon uw naam, en hij zal u uw kamernummer vertellen en wachtwoord, zonder zelfs maar uw paspoort te bevestigen! Het personeel heeft een geweldige houding en glimlacht altijd! Elke kamer heeft een wachtwoordslot omdat het een nieuw geopende winkel is! De lakens en dekbedovertrekken zijn allemaal gloednieuw en de handdoeken zijn ook gloednieuw en schoon. Elk bed heeft een eigen kledingkast. U kunt uw eigen slot, een handdoek en een Europese standaard stekkerdoos meenemen! Als je uit Frankrijk komt, neem dan gewoon je eigen Europese standaard oplaadkabel mee en gebruik deze direct! Er is douchegel en shampoo aanwezig, maar conditioner, tandenborstel en tandpasta dient u zelf mee te nemen! Tijdens mijn verblijf van twee nachten ontmoette ik Chinezen die naar Korea kwamen om sterren te achtervolgen. De t****e avond ontmoette ik een meisje uit Chengdu en een meisje uit Lyon, Frankrijk. We praatten meer dan een uur onhandig in het Engels en het Frans. Uiteindelijk stond de populaire wetenschap haar met succes toe het land te verlaten om de Verboden Stad te bezoeken werd voor 9 uur overgebracht naar Beijing. Ze mocht gaan. We aten Pekingeend en vroegen haar om V te downloaden en haar bankkaart te binden, en we hebben haar toegevoegd als vriendin!

We were able to locate the guest house easily using Naver Map. However, our first struggle was how to reach the destination itself. The guesthouse is located in an uphill area, almost near Namsan Cable Car (600km/20min walk). A great tip we discovered (after struggling of walking uphill for 2 days 😂) was using the escalators/elevators near the Ihoeyeong Memorial Hall. Go straight from there and you’ll find a 7-Eleven convenience store upon crossing the street. Go left then right at the first wide alley way you see, it should be uphill. Keep on walking until you see a signage of mama guest house on your right side. We booked a day before our arrival so we could immediately check-in in our rooms. A note welcomed us and our keys were found at the reception area. Pls don’t forget to remove your shoes and change into the slippers they provide found in the shoe cabinet at the left side of the entrance. Our rooms were next to each other, but differ in size. Bathroom was okay, but I hope they’ll fix the sink’s pipe problem in room 104 since it leaks on the floor upon using. I suggest buying shower filters (5,000 Won) since the water in SK is quite harsh. I suggest to test how you’ll adjust the temperature when showering. There were no bidets in our bathrooms. Always bring your keycard with you whenever you go out. They don’t go into your rooms like hotels would. If you have any requests, just leave a note on their desk (ie. New towels, tissue, etc.) They also don’t have laundry machines. Do not eat inside the rooms, only in the kitchen which is in the basement. If you feel like your trash bins are getting full, trash bins are found in the lobby and segregate everything according to their waste category. Just think of it as you’re staying on your own room. Walls are thin, made of light wood materials so I wouldn’t suggest talking nor listening to your phone loudly. Breakfast menu were cereals with milk, bread and flavored jam, and instant noodles. You can only consume what’s inside the fridge unless there’s a note that a room guest owns it. You can cook and buy your own food, just make sure you clean up after. You can also fill-up your water bottles here. Going to different areas are easy too since it’s near Myeongdong Station exit 1. If you’re planning to go shopping in Myeongdong, just go straight after exit 1 and you should see E-Mart across the street then cross on the first crosswalk you see. If you want to enter the “main” street, go left until you see the bug HBAF building. Overall, I think our stay was a good since the staff we get see was very accommodating to our requests. I just hope they’ll fix some of their bathroom leakage.

als je gewoon op zoek bent naar een plek om de nacht door te brengen, dan klaart dit hostel de klus ~ het is een beetje verouderd, maar ik denk dat het een plek is om te slapen, je spullen/bagage in te stoppen, enz. Goed ding over dit hostel is dat het in de buurt van een aantal restaurants en een supermarkt ligt, en vooral ook bij een metrostation!
