I was unexpectedly stranded at Shenzhen North (Shenzhenbei) during the busy holiday season and urgently needed a place to stay. After comparing several listings on Trip.com, this hostel stood out based on its reviews, and it fully lived up to my expectations. The photos are accurate and reflect the property exactly as it is. The host prepared the bed sheets and pillowcases right in front of me, which immediately reassured me about the cleanliness. Everything was spotless and well maintained. Cleanliness is one of my top priorities when choosing accommodation because I value my health, and I felt completely comfortable staying here. I saw no pests or anything unhygienic, so if you’re concerned about that, you can rest easy. The host speaks basic English and was very welcoming. Since I had just traveled from Hong Kong Airport to Shenzhen North, he even kindly offered to show me around the area. There are plenty of food options nearby, I enjoyed Lanzhou noodles and stinky tofu just steps from the building. For clarification, the hostel is located inside an apartment building and operates in a dorm-style setup. Shoes are removed at the entrance, and guest slippers are provided. There is a comfortable common area with a sofa and dining table, free drinking water, and complimentary toiletries including a toothbrush and disposable towel, which was especially helpful since I had forgotten to pack one. The bathroom is modern and equipped with a Western-style sit-down toilet. Each bed has its own privacy curtain and personal light, which I appreciated. There are also power outlets conveniently located at each bed. Wi-Fi worked smoothly without any issues, and free laundry is available, which is a great bonus for travelers. There are designated quiet hours, so you can sleep comfortably. During my stay, it was peaceful and no one snored. The host even asked whether I snore, which shows he is considerate of all guests. The other guests were polite and respectful. I was the only foreigner staying there, and the rest were Chinese travelers who were likely in the same situation, unable to secure train tickets that night. The property is non-smoking, which I also appreciated. The only minor downside is for taller guests. I am 183 cm (6 ft), and I had to curl up slightly since the bed length appears to be around 180 cm. It was manageable, but something to keep in mind if you’re tall. The location is very convenient. It’s next to the train station, and you can easily take the subway if you have luggage. It only cost me 2 RMB to ride, so there’s really no need to take a taxi. In the morning, I bought pork steamed buns and soy milk from a nearby vendor, he was friendly, and the food was great. For $4, this was outstanding value. If you’re looking for a clean, affordable, and convenient place to stay near Shenzhen North, this is an excellent option. Smart room layout, a lot of open shelves to keep personal items organized. A shout-out to the cleaning lady who did a good job. Close to HaiYa Mall and subway station. Will stay again.

I stayed here for the second time, in a room in a developed commercial area, surrounded by numerous malls, close to the KKMAll Mixc shopping center and many good tourist areas. It's within 500 meters by skytrain, just a short distance from the station to the Lowu station, very convenient. The rooms are clean and spacious, and the check-in counter cooperates with excellent service. The housekeeper cleans every day, quite clean. When compared to the price, it's very worth it. I will definitely come back to stay here again. 😊

The hotel owner was exceptionally welcoming and attentive to every guest's needs.They maintained a warm and professional atmosphere throughout our stay. It was clear they took pride in the cleanliness and comfort of the hotel. Their hospitality truly made the visit memorable.

觀星酒店在沙崗村，離西涌2號沙灘很近，離天文台的4號沙灘也不遠。酒店很新，各種設施都比較好用。房間乾淨衞生，被褥潔白如洗，衞生間乾濕分離。有停車位，淡季無憂，旺季可能緊張一些。酒店附近餐館好幾家，早餐出門左拐沿路走稍遠點最後一家的腸粉味道不錯。酒店服務很好，前台人員挺熱情，幾個年輕人還幫着拿行李，臨走還給了兩瓶水。

The location is great. When you go out, you will easily be greeted with a lot of food and restaurant options. Train is also accessible. The front door is located infront of the street with cars so when you use didi, you can directly be dropped off into the front door. When we first came, we were confused cause the elevator can’t go up to 14th floor. Apparently, there are 3 elevators in the first floor but only 2 on the left can be used to go up to 14th floor. The right elevator wont open at the 14th floor because it is where the reception of the hotel is placed. When we went, we were asked if we are okay with one computer only. As someone who wasn’t planning to use the PC, I said it’s okay. However, when we went to the room, having 1 computer also meant we got the smaller room cut. I was so frustrated cause I read all reviews of a lot of hotels and really searched for a big cut room because we have big luggages and we were there for Christmas. I pipped on a room that was vacant when we checked in and it was a lot bigger than our room (same room type, just no pole and have 2 PCs) Mostly because our room also has this huge building pole that consumed a lot of space also. The reception was nice and friendly though. She helped us carry our bags. However, the room itself was clean but you can smell the particles/dust of smoke that the previous user left. It isn’t direct smoke smell but as someone who is very allergic to smoke, our nose can pick up the particles itself like the dust that came from the cigar specially in the computer chair. So it didn’t smell like cigar but the particles left made us allergic and sneezing for the entire stay. I told the reception the next day and they cleaned and used a device to remove smoke in the room. I really appreciated this since it lessen out sneezing throughout the night. However, the smoke smell was evident when you go out of the room. Most probably because other guests are smoking outside or at the reception itself. Kind of sad because it says in the listing that this property was a non-smoking room. Which if they said that someone is able to smoke, I wouldn’t even consider the property in the first place. Contrary to other reviews, I saw a robot in the basement that was able to deliver food by itself. I’m not sure if it can go up to the hotel because we didn’t try but the robot was functioning and was able to deliver food in other floors. Overall, the stay was great. Amenities were there such as shampoo, soap, toothbrush, slippers, bathrobe and others. Just frustrated because we got a smaller room cut (the image looks big because of mirrors) and smells like cigar even though I also noted in my booking that I have a very bad allergy towards cigarette. Oh, and the other reviews were right, if you are sensitive to noise, you need to double think before booking because the cars and the street noise can really be heard in the room. For someone who is not sensitive to noise that much, it wasn’t a concern for me. The pillows and bed was great and comfortable :) There’s also a refrigerator in the room.

這次訂的北卡大床房真的挺滿意的！房間比想象中大，床特別舒服，躺上去軟軟的，一覺睡到自然醒。早上起來坐在前台大廳喝杯咖啡，看看書，感覺整個人都放鬆了。 前台小哥哥人也超好，看我拖着大箱子，主動跑出來幫忙提，還給我推薦了附近能去的商場，雖然他自己也沒去過，但是也在努力的幫我找。敬業！房間打掃得也很乾凈，衞生間也沒有異味。 位置也方便，去世界之窗、歡樂谷打車也就起步價。公交的話也有直達，差不多2，3個站就能到。地鐵的話，就要走15分鐘左右才能到白石洲地鐵站。下次來深圳還會住這兒，論性價比還是可以的！

Kamer 2708. Pluspunten: Het beddengoed is schoon en vervangen, en het bed is goed om op te slapen. Alle werkbladen en vloeren binnenshuis zijn schoon en stofvrij. Nadelen: Er zitten veel vlekken en kanker op de muren, veel beschadigde kastdeuren en vloeren, en ze zijn al lange tijd in verval. Er zit veel stof op de ventilatieopeningen van de airconditioning en de lichtdraden. Het meest schandalige is dat er in het midden van de wc-bril een paar druppels gestolde urinevlekken zitten, die waarschijnlijk niet zijn afgeveegd. Natuurlijk heb ik niet aan de reacties gedacht, dus heb ik geen foto’s gemaakt en ook niet aan kleedkamers gedacht. Ik heb het gewoon zelf afgeveegd met een nat doekje. Bovendien is de geluidsisolerende werking extreem slecht. Het is lawaaierig door blaffende honden, gesprekken, voetstappen, tv, dichtslaande deuren, enz. Werd meerdere keren wakker gemaakt. Geen USB-oplaadpoort.

Vervoer: In gebouw nr. 8 van Hong Kong en Macau kun je lopen naar metrolijn 2. Er zijn andere metrolijnen in de buurt en het vervoer is relatief handig. Voordat je incheckt, heb je de hulp van de bewaker beneden nodig om te swipen de verdiepingskaart voordat u naar boven gaat. U kunt naar de oude straat Dongmen lopen. Voordelen: Complete faciliteiten, inclusief keuken, koelkast en keukengerei. Als u uw eigen potten en schalen meeneemt, kunt u uw eigen eten koken. Er is een balkon om kleding te drogen. We are a group of 7 friends. I made a reservation for all of us together and paid around 8€, which I thought was a very good price. The day we arrived, the owner told us the price was per person and not for the whole booking, which was odd as the reservation already had our 7 names on it, but also reasonable considering the very low price. After our stay I can honestly say that the original price of 8€ for 7 is the maximum I would have paid for this place. The rooms themselves are not too bad and in line with the Chinese standard (quite right, very hard and slim futon mattresses), but also clean sheets and good privacy with curtains. The real issue with this place are the bathrooms. First of all there are only two of them for more than 20 people. Secondly, they are nothing short of disgusting. One of them is a room with a squatting toilet, a sink and a shower that smells like piss worse than a public toilet. The second one has a Western toilet with a broken toilet seat and a shower without a shower head (basically like a garden hose). I normally don't complain about these things as I'm used to traveling on a budget. But as I said, these are things I would have totally accepted if the price I paid was indeed the original one I made a reservation for. Especially because for that price (as a group of 7) you can find cheaper and nicer options in the same area. I would not recommend this place unless you really can't find anything cheaper or better, or if you want to be very close to the civic center. Definitely not a good place to stay more than 1 night.
