"Nanwan Hotel was a really pleasant surprise. It was very clean, incredibly affordable, yet looked and felt like something much more expensive. The design and overall impression were impressive for the price. My room did have a window, but the view was straight into a wall and a door leading to what seemed to be a school inside the same building. I could hear the teacher and the kids, which woke me up in the morning. The location wasn’t exactly central, and the building looks a bit worn from the outside — but that didn’t bother me at all. Inside, everything was neat, comfortable, and much better than I expected for the price. A great budget-friendly stay that exceeded my expectations overall."

"Shared the room with a friend. Hotel has all the necessary amenities. It is very close to the train station and also therefore a metro station which is very convenient. Toiletries and toothpaste & toothbrushes are provided. The shower was great. We didn’t do much in the city itself but if you were to explore the city it is in a very good location. We wanted a more relaxed experience in Ningbo. Instead we took a DiDi to the Southern Song Sculpture Park (南宋石刻公园), afterwards took a walk around Dongqian lake (东钱湖), and then took the metro back to the hotel. If you want to go straight to the lake you can just take the metro directly there. There is a lot of things to do in and around the hotel. There are a few restaurants right next to the hotel which was useful after a long day travelling."

"Third visit to the Ting Hotel. The layout of the check-on area has changed. It is a lot better now. The superior room is well worth the money spent. Two big, comfortable double beds, powerful shower with plenty of hot water, friendly staff, they are using the usual translator Apps, Metro line two to Ningbo Railway station as well as the Airport is only a two minutes walk away. The click tower acrosd the street. An english translation for the A/C remote control would be helpful. The loud A/C is the only downside. I guess it needs to be serviced."

"De kamer was erg schoon en het personeel was erg vriendelijk. De schoonmaakster was vriendelijk en makkelijk te bereiken. "For its location, size and price, the hotel is actually good. Don’t expect a 5 star hotel. There are opposite restaurants and shop. The distance makes it a short stroll to Tianyi pavilion. It’s fun to play with Xiaodu - the smart controller. The room looks newly renovated. Everything seems fairly new. Staff are very responsive. Of note, on the first day of check-in, the window flatscreen was hanging for dear life from a loose screw. The staff fixed it the next day because I checked in at night. The bathroom smelled odd until my friend discovered the source of the smell (the drains)."

Necessary facilities were working properly. I had no issues checking in and out as a foreigner — Super easy! However, while my stay was quiet and peaceful, you could still hear people walking and talking along the corridors but minimal."

"観光地(外難)まですぐですが！地下鉄からは遠いです。中国はタクシーがとてもやすいので、途中でタクシー移動にしました……(寧波駅から200円くらいですよ)値段の割に私は大満足です。ホテルの入り口は分かりづらい＆館内工事中？で少し怖かったです（笑）　窓を閉めても外の音がずっと響いて不思議だったのですが、窓のサッシと壁に隙間があるので、窓を閉めても外のクラクションの音などがよく聞こえました（笑）"

"This little gem of a hotel offered fantastic value. Location is great at the northern edge of Tianyi Square, a very short walk to the subway and easy access to anywhere you'd want to be. I had concerns because my booking said that smoking is allowed in the room, and there was an ashtray, but I couldn't smell smoke in my room or anywhere on the premises. Quick and easy check-in, attentive staff, very friendly service."

皮皮蛋_001Small boutique hotel ran by a very friendly woman and man. The 古镇 itself is very quiet and the surrounding town doesn't have much going on. Everyone is in bed by 10. Perfect if you're looking for a quiet couple days, but definitely worth mentioning! There is an amazing trail system all around Ninghai and the hostess can give you many excellent hiking recommendations. She's local to the area and (as far as I understood) the property which is now the hotel belonged to her family at the beginning of the 20th century. There's even a good bit of original furniture around. The guest rooms are clearly brand new and exceptionally clean. If you are sensitive to odors, you might ask them to remove some of the wormwood (艾草) from your room ahead of time. Two bags of it are hung in every room. I happen to like it but I could imagine some might find it too strong. The hostess speaks some English and works very hard to accommodate everyone. She even fed us dinner when we arrived too late to eat in the town. Overall very nice, we'll definitely stay here again if we go to Ninghai.

Despite not having a car, the hotel's strategic location allowed us to embark on a delightful on-foot adventure. A scenic hike from the hotel unveiled a hidden gem—a breathtaking waterfall that added an extra layer of enchantment to our stay. Moreover, a leisurely walk down the mountain led us to a charming village nestled on the edge of a vast lake, creating the perfect setting for a tranquil sunset stroll. Our overall experience at this haven was nothing short of magical. The thoughtful details, combined with the friendly staff and natural wonders surrounding the hotel, made it a memorable retreat. We can genuinely say this place exceeded our expectations, and we're already planning our return. Highly recommended for those seeking a perfect blend of nature, comfort, and warm hospitality.

LLivylivyloolooMy husband and I recently stayed at the Hanting Hotel Tianyi Square East Branch, and we cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience. We travelled to Ningbo to start working, and needed a place to stay while we looked for an apartment. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the incredible staff who made every effort to ensure our stay was comfortable and memorable. The front desk team truly went above and beyond our expectations. They patiently spent time helping us sign up for the breakfast buffet package, seamlessly assisted us in booking extra nights, and even arranged for a taxi when we needed one. Their kindness and dedication to guest satisfaction were unmatched. The cleaning staff and buffet staff were equally delightful. They always greeted us with warm smiles and friendly hellos. The entire team created an atmosphere of hospitality that left a lasting impression on us. This was our first hotel experience in China. We will remember our stay at the Hanting Hotel Tianyi Square East Branch fondly and wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Thank you to the amazing staff for making our visit so special!

Location Easy place to locate with various transport services around all parts of the town. Not far from my meeting points and the airport. Food Room beverage needs to be looked (No coffee) I didn't have the privilege to enjoy the breakfast buffet due to my morning rush to attend meetings. More dining places to explore since the hotel's restaurant closes early during the evening after my check-in at 8pm. Amenities TV and internet service are a bit complicated with various SMS registered accounts 😕 especially for travellers with no service but works finally. Rooms Nice stress free and spacious rooms with the Ruya Stress relief tub room, great choice. I was wondering where their steamers or irons were to press clothes in the laundry room but later moved onto something else. Cleanliness Calm and serene environment with passionate cleaning done with minor issues. Lovely place .

CCliffHangerThe land lady is really kind & nice, attended to all our needs & requests. They serve decent food at their self-run local restaurant & the location is within a charming village. The room is new, so if it was cleaned properly, I would have given an easy 5 stars. However, only the bed linens & towels are obviously sanitary & the rest are all questionable. But the hot water in the shower is very hot, which is a big plus & The pillows are soft & comfortable. I would recommend not to drink the water from the boiling device as it tastes funny, and keep the bathroom door closed because there’s an awful smell that comes out of it sometimes. The public veranda overlooking the mountains is not maintained at all & is dirty, if not, it would be a great spot to relax. Overall my stay was ok, especially because of the very accommodating land lady/owner.

GGastgebruikerWe spend three nights here to explore the area and loved our stay! The owners were so kind and helpful! Despite our limited mandarin we could still communicate well with some English and translation apps. They helped us with public transport directions (two buses from Ningbo) and provided a varied tasty breakfast (even vegetarian upon our lastminute request). Nice warm shower and beautiful mountain view from the room. There are some great hiking trails nearby (see Zhejiang hiking trails app), some starting directly from this cute historic village. The village across the hill (15min walk) is also very scenic. All in all a great nature getaway from Shanghai with the sweetest hosts!
