i saw many positive reviews and was excited to see if it was reality... Simply put, its worth visiting Luoyang just to stay at May Fourth Youth Hostel. The level of cleanliness, amicability, overall positive yet low-key ambience should be the standard across the country. From the music choice in the lobby to the staff who run it, It's clear it has been designed and is run by people who really understand what it means to be a traveller and what makes a good hotel. The rooms are spacious (sometimes hostels can feel claustophobic - but not here), with beds having more space than typical, good quality pillow and duvets. Suited for both travellers from the east and west, there are seated and squat toilets, with a large array of showers. The washing machine is great (if they had a couple of good Dryers too that would be amazing), as well as the communal rooms with vending machines, pool table, and seating area (including the lovely quiet library space) The location is decent too, a spacious cultural park is nearby with the hostel itself tucked away from the main street, creating convinience but not crowds. The price is perfect! ideal for young people, students and solo travellers visiting on a budget. My friend decided to stay here two more days just because of the comfort and facilities. As both a foreigner and a woman, i felt safe and welcome here so i reccommend friends from abroad to come check this place out. Possibly the best youth hostel i've had the pleasure of staying in oh also the little cat is so cute !

Whether you're looking for a quick bite or a more traditional meal, you'll find plenty of options just outside the door. In terms of value, the cost was more than reasonable for the high-quality stay we received. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and incredibly comfortable. I was especially impressed by the integration of AI technology in the room, which added a modern touch to the experience. One of the highlights of my stay was the exceptional service. The owner was genuinely kind and welcoming — he helped carry our luggage to the room and was always ready to assist with a smile. His knowledge of Luoyang's history added a personal and enriching touch to our trip. What truly stood out was his thoughtfulness: knowing that guests would be tired from sightseeing, he personally designed the beds and pillows, and I can honestly say they were more comfortable than those in many high-end hotels. The guest house located in a very cozy place. It’s located near longmen which you could walk to in the morning. Room is very good. It’s very warm inside in a cold day. Very recommendddd!!! Also the hotel staff is friendly.

門口很大，位置也在火車站步行十分鐘的位置，很好找。綠色自助酒店，應該是新開的設施都是新的。有洗衣機烘乾機咖啡豆漿機和温礦泉水這點好評。華住會會員送早餐，還挺好吃。房間乾濕分離空調給力。送的一次性的毛巾很厚，刷牙用的一次性杯子帶包裝很乾凈。我們一家子住的比較滿意。性價比超高的一家酒店。唯一不滿意的就是床單打掃的不乾淨。入住的時候發現床單上有好幾根遺留的毛，不是頭髮的那種。讓人心裏不怎麼舒服

The hotel is very clean, so close to the metro, right inside liyingmen (丽景门），400m to 十字街， many food stalls here to pick up. The host is so friendly and nice. The price is reasonable 酒店非常干净，靠近地铁，就在丽景门内。距离十字街400米，那里有很多小吃摊。 老板非常友好热情。价格合理。

The family rooms we booked were huge with 2 big bedrooms plus a smaller one which was a great play area for the kids. It had heating/cooling in each room that we could adjust ourselves. Beds were comfortable and the duvets were nice and thick. Only drawback was that it had no mini fridge. And there is no elevator so you do need to climb up some flights of stairs. I communicated with the manager by WeChat translation. There was always someone waiting for us when we got back which was so reassuring for a homestay - they made sure we were safe and even checked on our payment for our ride. Location was down an alleyway right across from Yongtianmen - it was a bit of a walk from the metro station and too narrow for vehicle access. Instead we found it so convenient to use the 3 wheeled tuk tuks which could send us up to the doorstep. Cost was between 10-20 CNY. The street was lined with hanfu shops and many little convenience stores where we could buy snacks and the cold drinks we wanted. Strangely we could not get cold beer! They said it was not the season yet for col Overall we had a great stay! It was a chance to experience living in a local community which was different from the usual hotel experience.

The room and the facilities were as advertised. I could book the taxi pickup they offer for 2-night reservations. Even with English I could text and book the taxi ride the day before arrival (SMS & WeChat). Also offered free snacks in the room. Also they helped me in identifying places to visit as Laojun mountain is closed for foreigners (I did not know before arriving). Longmen Grottoes is very close, you can walk there! Also there are busses connecting well with the Longmen city. The lady at the reception was helpful answering all my questions via WeChat as it translated the messages automatically.

We had a great experience staying in the room type with two large beds and one bunker bed. We booked this room kinda expecting the bunker bed to excite our 4 and 7 yo and it definitely proved so. Room is clean, AC is great. The breakfast (made free with a trip.com promotion) is quite a treat. Even some might prefer hot coffee but honestly I cannot complain much with the offer of a hard boiled egg, two potstickers, one pcs of corn, millet congee, etc. The staffs are all responsive and ready to help with request like additional towels/bottled water/breakfast food. The owners had a friendly puppy called “fanfan”on site too. At the end of our trip one of the co-owners used his motorcycles to carry a heavy suitcase to the place we booked our taxi and as we can see they ride people to metro station as well. The location is just a short (maybe 100m) walk from the South Gate of Luoyi Ancient City. We took a night walking into Luoyi Ancient City from the north gate after eating dinner in one of the busiest places known for its street food and getting out of South Gate knowing the hotel is just minutes away. Would definitely recommend this one to others who want to stay near Luoyi Ancient City area.

De toeristische stad, deze prijs en het milieu zijn zeer goed. Het treinstation is bijzonder comfortabel met het vervoer. Het treinstation heeft een directe bus met een Longmen Steen en een witte rijst. De receptie heeft een grote zus die bijzonder warm is. Ik vrees dat Loyang niet genoeg warmer is voor mij. Ik raad hier aan.
