"The place was old and run-down. The carpets looked like they could have been the originals from the 1970s, if not earlier. A light bulb in our room flickered for a minute then went out when I first turned on the lights. There was no coffeemaker in our room; we were told to help ourselves to the downstairs "coffee", which tasted like molten plastic. At breakfast there were no eggs or meat at all--and I'm carnivore. All I saw were cheap, processed carbs, except for some bananas (unprocessed). What else? The hairdryer didn't work. I'm sure there's more. Oh, right: no elevator! We had to carry our heavy bags up--and down--a long flight of uncertain stairs. And the gym: not a dumbbell in sight, or any kind of resistance training apparatus; only 3 machines--a treadmill, a bike and an elliptical-looking thing, all of which looked old and not super reliable. You'd have to get this for awfully cheap not to overpay."
