The room was disgusting — no control knob on the AC, which blew hot air all night; no handle on the faucet (!!!), TV didn’t work; it was filthy in every way imaginable; and they tried to charge me a $75 pet fee instead of the $10 I had been quoted. Bottom line: stay ANYWHERE ELSE."

"Je krijgt precies wat je betaalt, en misschien een beetje minder, maar als je je zorgen alleen maar voor de nacht laat en je hebt zeer minimale verwachtingen. De locatie en de toestand van het gebouw ligt veel lager dan het gemiddelde en is momenteel onder bouw en lijkt een tijdje te zijn. Misschien voor altijd. Als je een man bent met een heel goede gemeenschap en een goede straatzinnigheid dan is je verblijf in orde, maar voor elke andere dynamiek, een harde nee. Bedenk andere opties."

"Booked for 5 nights, on checkin the lady was friendly, informed us Room cleaning would be on the 3rd day unless we requested it earlier. On the 3rd day on returning, our room wasn’t done, returned to reception and told, no we don’t do that anymore, and tomorrow is Christmas so it won’t be done either. 5 nights with not so much as our bin being emptied, new toiletries or towels, very unprofessional. I git new towels and was told to put the old ones outside my room, well they are still sitting in the hallway the next day! Rooms are old and clearly no maintenance has been done in them for years, health department would shut them down in any other country. Curtains are dirty, stained and falling apart as they are old and rotten. Rooms on bottom floor are facing carpark, so you have cars waking you up all the time, and people upstairs thumping around. We have never been treated by reception apart from checkin, there is never anyone sitting there, so no security at all. Breakfast has been standard, but that’s ok. We wake up on Christmas Day, to find absolute no breakfast, not even cereal out, this would have been nice to know the day prior, so we could purchase food before the shops closed for the break, I guess we will have no Christmas breakfast, not very festive or helpful when your in a different country and travelling with your teenage son. Also paid for breakfast in our rate, s I guess we will get a refund🤦‍♀️ The receptionist was not interested in our concern this morning, pretty much said “everything is closed” and was not interested in providing any advice or help. We have also been approached by a gentleman twice in the laundry (credit card operated only, again not great for over seas travelers who get charged a conversion rate and extra fees) he has tried to get us to go to his Airbnb in downtown Sherman. We felt very uncomfortable, but again no security or reception staff to be seen, so I guess anyone can walk in. Room is so dark, you can barely see, which is probably a good thing. About 6 power outlets only 1 or 2 work if you unplug a lamp which is the only lighting. I would recommend staying at the Holiday In express, as it’s basically in the same car park. Do yourself a favor and don’t book here! See photos attached, mouldy & rotten drapes, wall paper wet and falling off walls. Trash all over driveway on entering, it’s been there the whole 4 days"

"We hebben ongeveer 3 maanden in dit motel gebleven, in 5-6 kamer terwijl we in Sherman werken. Waar het motel ouder is, het kantoor is schoon en ruikt mooi, de kamers zijn spotloos, en goed onderhouden. Het personeel is zeer aardig en handig. Als je naar of door Sherman gaat en een slaapplaats nodig hebt, kan je niet mislopen met dit motel."

"Make sure you get a receipt, make sure you are prepared for cold showers, and don't expect any internet. I can complain all day about Supper 8 motel. The noise is bad all night, The front desk never answerers calls. HORRIBLE PLACE TO STAY"
