The best pasta dish! I had ‘Pesto’, pasta with homemade pesto, and lemon infused ricotta cheese. It was absolutely delicious! My partner had trout … 2 clean plates. Great service, lovely surroundings, and a seaview! We ate in The Darwin Room, a little chilly for us outside, but it was bustling and the outside terrace looked lovely , next time we’ll wrap up and eat outside.

Lovely views, nice decor, pretty lights. The food is average and quite well priced. I enjoyed my meal and had a nice cocktail to go with it. Great location on a Summer’s evening. I had ice cream for dessert which was a very good price compared to most establishments.

I stayed here with my son for a night on an unexpected trip from london. We absolutely LOVED this hotel, and restaurant! The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful and lovely, and the hotel was absolutely gorgeous! Amazing location in a beautiful little town, and really great value. We will definitely be returning and can’t wait!!!

Service was amazing views were amazing the broccoli and Stilton soup was the best we have ever had would recommend

Busy seafront restaurant, first night sat outside had to wait 10 minutes for a table but this was fine. I had a pizza which was the vegevegan and my god it was absolutely lovely so we went back second night and I had it again and kids had pepperoni. Bit uncomfortable second night as was a table for 4 so I was squished on the end as we ate family of 5, but this was ok as we wanted to eat her again. Everyone enjoyed meals on both nights. Lovely friendly staff. Only one downside, the toilets are a bit tired. Highly recommend a visit.

Breakfast was amazing, the avocado con eggs with brown toast kept us going all day long! 👍

We went for drinks there was 15 of us that they put on one long table … the bar staff were really sour faced and kept saying “ table service only” which is fine but then as I joined my family later I missed the first order so waited to be served but no one came to me.. I went to the bar to be told “ table service only” which works if someone will come to my table. They weren’t massively busy and 3 members of waiting staff were chatting by the door. Eventually a waitress came over and I ordered a gin and tonic and a lemonade and a Fanta… she replied.. do you want all that in one glass?!?! Erm no!! 🤣 Later on I wanted to order more drinks so after unsuccessfully trying to get someone’s attention I went back to the bar to be told they’d send someone over… she never did but I sat and watched her chat to a waiter for a while before he walked off to the other side of the pub! Some other family members came to join us.. they went to sit on the long table with us, the waitress panicked saying “ you can’t sit with them it’s too squashed - sit here!” There was plenty of room and actually we took up another table! Weird business decisions having staff hanging around yet not taking orders - better to be behind a bar serving. Won’t return.

We visited with 4 friends but ended up on separate tables, we should perhaps, to be fair to the place, have decided to leave. However our food and drink orders were taken quickly and arrived quickly, my pizza was one of the best I have had for a long time. However our separated friends had to wait a long time for their order to be taken and thus food to arrive. They did however generally enjoy the food. There was no attempt by staff to offer the option of deserts, seems a rather bad business move, so we then paid and left. They were very busy so if we return we will try to time it in quieter periods

A week with wife and furry friend. We stayed in the Waterfront for a week the Staff where friendly the room spacious and clean they cater for dogs staying in the hotel and there where not any problems although ours tended to bark at other dogs for a moment or two but all was well as they expected some confrontations non too excessive. Food was adequate and plenty full setting was superb facing the beach. The only draw back was the beach near the hotel did not allow dogs on during summer months but a hundred yards up the road it was ok to take them but beware of the incoming tide. Overall a good time was had and we would recommend the hotel and area
