URBN Boutique Shanghai

Ik verbleef een hele week in UrBn en heb er echt van genoten. Locatie is geweldig, kamer is mooi en gezellig. Eén bémol als ontbijt... begint te laat als je op zakenreis bent, en niet veel keus...

HOTEL HAD NO HEATING WORKING! Stayed here few times already, nice interior, big bathtub, good service. But this time big minus was that ac heating didn’t worked tho i changed one room but in second one was bad too, Shanghai is very cold in winter so hotel “must have” is good heating .. suggested them to change it for some newer heating system, and i hope they’ll fix it asap.

Wonderful room, very spacious and clean. A little bit dark in the evening but still nice ambiance. The only negative point is the poor breakfast: watermelon, dragon fruit, very very small croissant but not refurbish when all are eaten, eggs. I arrived at 7.30 and nothing was ready... The service was very cold. No interest in doing the thing well except a so lovely and polite lady when I check out doing her best.

This is a truly, lovely, little boutique hotel off the main thoroughfares in Jing'An district. The concept and design are tastefully done, and the staff were oh so friendly. My one ****** is to do with the design/layout of the rooms. As the bed is raised in the Atrium Studio rooms, if you sleep on the opposite side of the bed to the bathroom, and your partner is in the way, then you have to descend a set of steps, walk round the bed, up some more steps, then down a step to the bathroom, in the dark...I did trip over the desk chair! If you can cope with this, then I highly recommended this sweet little hotel.

Chic interior albeit a little dated - overall good value. - location: reasonable walking distance from Metro station. Jing'an is undoubtedly central and minutes away from Nanjing XI Road and shopping district's etc. - room: layout a little unconventional with elevated bed and sunken lounging area by the window - some will find this fun while others may dislike having to navigate via steps moving from one area to the next within the room. The Atrium Suites has windows facing a glass brick wall that blocks outdoor view, which could be suffocating after 1st day or 2. Appliances staring to show age a little. - I find staff while not overly enthusiastic still helpful and friendly. - breakfast while simple and lack of choices, quite tasty (good salad, make-to-order beef noodles)

Great location with hip vibes (trendy boutiques and restaurants). Hotel is eco friendly decor but property management didn’t maintain it very well. The room design is good but lighting can be improved with enhanced brightness especially with the various steps. We also feel dusty even after cleaning. Restaurant workers can show some improvement with customer service.

Great location and a little oasis in the middle of bustling Shanghai. Would definitely return. The breakfast is an extremely low key affair - hardly anything on offer and not worth getting up for. Everything else was great!

This is a diamond in the raw. You can barely find this type of decoration with details that make it a very pleasant space to be at, the rooms are very big for what you are paying and the unique layout (exactly as shown in the pictures) is beautiful and comfortable, the experience is different than the typical hotel room. Building and rooms are always clean, no bad smells around. Yes, breakfast is a mess, but hey, the room includes the breakfast for the same price, I don’t understand why people complain about it since the location is so great that you can walk less than 500 meters and already can have breakfast in a different place for a whole month ! As the hotel has its years already, shower pressure is not the best, the air conditioning system is already good for a nice upgrade, and some small details are looking out of date… yet again, you have a huge and unique room, comfortable king size beds, very clean and in the middle of one of the best areas to stay in Shanghai, for a more than reasonable price. I very much recommend it, I’ll be staying there again on my next travel to Shanghai.
