Shanghai Stars and Stars New Space Hotel

Great location just besides subway, theres all coffee shopping mall around abd zhongshang park about 200mtrs

We booked deluxe double room, location was nice but the whole was smelling like it wasn't ventilated for months mattress was smelly and uncomfortable, towels were were not clean and I think they bought when they build this place.

Very near to Metro station (Zhongshan Park) and surrounded with shopping mall and eatery too. Very helpful staffs. Breakfast is bento set and served to the room which will be better if you opt out of it too.

We loved the location & nice people work there. There was an issue to get our deposit back when we checked out. Thanks for YD’s help to solve it smoothly. Helen(YD) was very friendly & helpful. Cathy was very sweet & we loved her smiling. We miss you all.

We booked the largest room (I think), it’s spacious for 2 ppl but I dont think it’s 60-70m2 as description. Nothing to complain except the staff can not speak E

Basic private home. Everything ok for this price. The location compliment the whole package

Nice hotel, location is great, close to metro, close to Hongqiao train station and airport, amenities are very basic, no safe box which really nice to have, service is very basic because it is mixed with condo, not really 100% hotel per say, but very good overall for the money

It was a fine stay. Pretty basic amenities and the room feels quite tired and not quite as nice as it looked in the photos. I had upgraded to a better double room, and I wonder if it might have been better to have stayed with the smaller cheaper room that I’d seen originally.

The place was a little hard to find. There's a big sign, and when I went up the escalator, there's two doors - one on the far right and one on the left. (Choose the one on the left.) Maybe there's a sign in Chinese, but there's not one in English. I saw quite a few foreigners coming and going; you'd think that they'd have more English signs or at least one worker who can speak SOME English. But I understand. Shanghai isn't so much of a first-tier city as it was before COVID, in my opinion. But, yeah, I was confused at the front desk. There's a few people working but they represent different hotels, guesthouses, individual rooms, etc. One worker I dealt with was very professional, the other one was just a little unfriendly, in my opinion. The place is OK, I suppose. If you just HAVE to stay in Zhongshan Park, it's adequate.
